With the help of my Wife we put everyones name into a hat that was interested in testing the fly. @wawawai5373 was picked! Thanks everyone for the interest. I plan on doing more of these. Sue send me your info.
Orange crush vedder fly Should be down tomorrow fished bank near 7 bay's and had limit by 8:30 of trout fun day well be up further up chasing kokes trolling tomorrow morning
Right on. I had a friend trolling and did not get 1 bite in 6 hours yesterday. He anchored up down lake and he said it was crazy good fishing with power bait. I think he said he had 10 trout in just under an hour. Good luck tomorrow.
@Northwestcatch makes me hesitant but you can't beat a trolling bite!! And I haven't yet trolled this year so give er a shot looked like you and Loren did well few days back, so I'll be down there giving er my best! Ps Appreciate the knowledge and information you share and the adventures you take us all on!!
So crazy you are commenting on my channel after watching you for years and wishing I was doing the same. You are a big part why I have a channel now and I greatly appreciate you supporting mine. Any time you want to get together my boat is yours. Just let me know a time and place and I will be there.
Yes they do. Not because it’s anything special really. Only because of the small profile and simplicity I think. Thanks for the Continued Support Matt.
With the help of my Wife we put everyone’s name in a hat that was interested in testing and your name was picked Sue. Go to about section. You will see my email. Send me your address and I will get the fly and others goodies in the mail for you. I appreciate very much you watching and supporting the channel.
The Orange Crush Vedder Fly does look fishy. Would be great pairing with my Half Fast orange crush dodger. I fish from a yak (long line and down rigger) for kokes at Merwin and Detroit weekly. That color can be 🔥and would love to try it out for you.
Absolutely. I used the original Vedder fly last year and it kicked but. Not sure they are entirely necessary because you only need a couple beads and a smile blade and good shrimp. Boat control is huge when fishing sockeye
Orange crush Vedder fly. I have a very small boat 10' zodiac with an electric motor. I usually run the rods and the other person runs the motor. I tell them speed is important to watch but I want them steering like a drunk. Random turns and zig zags as long as not many boats are around
You will be hooked. A lot of great UA-cam videos fishing kokanee from a yak I’m sure you have seen already. Every trip the puzzle with come together more and more. Thanks for watching.
Orange Crush Vedder Fly. I live in Idaho and we are still dealing with lots of ice, but I'll put it in my starting lineup when the ice goes off! Keep up the good work man.
That looks killer. It with catch fish for sure. I'd test it out for you anytime. Like the looks of you Flys for sure. Looks like a great Roosevelt fly for sure
Joe "merwin man" adams would be an awesome tester. Orange Crush. Love watching you tie flies and an excellent topic especially for a beginner like myself. The antipro is the champ for a reason, so much knowledge and experience. Have a great weekend
I try and do 10 a month. They do go fast most times. I won’t sell flys if I don’t have them tied and ready to ship so you get them in 2-4 days. 1 original Vedder fly left on the website right now. I will tie 10 more in a couple weeks
I’ve only just begun Kokanee fishing the last 1.5 years. I’ve tied a couple of my own flies and had decent success but never tried a tube fly. I’ve enjoyed watching you tie the Vedder and this one. Been trying to find a source for the tube material you use.
For some reason the tubes are hard to get. If you get in a pinch here you go. These will keep the kids busy and give you tons of tubes ZURU Bunch O Balloons, 420 Water Balloons, Fill & Tie 100 in 60 Seconds, Amazon. Sorry link wasn’t working for some reason
Interesting topic. Perhaps several schools of thought on this one. Does one troll in a straight line or not.... a straight line gives better speed control of the gear, as mentioned, however, on the other hand, many times bites occur on turns, sometimes even on slight turns, which would likely affect the speed of the gear traveling in the water. Outside gear would speed up slightly thus rise a bit in the water column and gear on the inside of the turn slows/drops. One also wonders if fishing pressure plays into this as well. Perhaps presenting something just a bit different than the masses of other boats is desirable....? My guess is that all of these are options, as well as others, are "on the table" to be considered by an experienced Kokanee fisherman/fisherwoman.
All great points. I am guilty of the strait troll until it doesn’t work. Then the turns start that give me a few more hints what speed they want or depth. Throwing something different at them makes a lot of sense.
Orange Crush Vedder Fly. Orange works well on my local reservoir and I've wanted to try flies. Got my first real fishing boat last summer and we put 15 20"+ kokes in the boat so I'd be curious to see how this compares to my tried and true tackle. Only down side is the lake won't be water for another few months likely.

Orange crush Vedder fly! Fishing for kokes in Northwest Montana. Would love to give this a go on the lakes around here. Great video BTW.
There better be some ORANGE CHRUSH VEDDER FLYS smashing some fish at Detroit soon!
Orange Crush Vedder fly. Willing to test it out up here in BC. Fish the Okanagon lakes, just have to wait for Ice off.
LONG LIVE the Vedder Fly. I have personally used and tied them. They work.
Yes they do. Not because it’s anything special really. Only because of the small profile and simplicity I think.
Thanks for the Continued Support Matt.
Orange Crush Vedder Fly! I'd test that thing out for sure! Orange is my go-to color. That thing is gonna crush em at Flaming Gorge!!!
I just pick a line and go for it. Have slayed some serious kokes that way. 💯 Agree you gotta find what they want then replicate it.
Ya me to as long as I’m staying at the right speed. Somedays I have to tease them a little with turns and speed changes.
Orange Crush Vedder Fly. Definitely look like it will slay! Roosevelt is my main spot, going to Chelan next weekend- nice work.
Thanks Scott. Just got off Rosy. Go high for Kokanee I think. Spring Canyon area was trout only yesterday and tough
Orange crush veddar fly! The girls boat would love to give it some testing on hayden lake🎣…sue

Great work. Do you this this could work for sockeye ?
Absolutely. I used the original Vedder fly last year and it kicked but. Not sure they are entirely necessary because you only need a couple beads and a smile blade and good shrimp. Boat control is huge when fishing sockeye

I think Orange 🍊 Crush Vedder fly will kill them at Merwin like I do on your original Vedder fly!👌🏻👍🏻
Orange crush vedder fly... I'd love to try it out on Stevens or Samish
Orange crush Vedder fly! I can definitely put it to the test in the Pacific Northwest. 🎣👍🏼
This will be my first year trying kokanee out. Should be interesting from the yak.
You will be hooked. A lot of great UA-cam videos fishing kokanee from a yak I’m sure you have seen already. Every trip the puzzle with come together more and more. Thanks for watching.

Thanks Zack. A few lakes here I can’t wait for the ice to melt.
Orange Crush Vedder Fly - I’ll let it hunt on Chelan.

Joe would be a great tester. He is definitely a slayer.
Every time I try to by the Vetter Fly on your website they are sold out. I’d definitely test it out in Colorado lakes.
I try and do 10 a month. They do go fast most times. I won’t sell flys if I don’t have them tied and ready to ship so you get them in 2-4 days.
