Hi guys, great review love what you do. I have the dictator three and also the agent three does the Ski lies somewhere in the middle of that the dictator is quite a bit to handle but performs amazingly wonderful and powder. The agent is a dream and powder, but might be too soft for groomers, gonna keep them both but looking for the middle child

I believe the Dancer is the next progression of the Dictator with a good amount of camber and two sheets of metal. I'd look to something sturdy but without metal like the Salomon QST 106 or the Head Kore 105 to see if that build splits the difference.

Hey, love your reviews, super helpful. I'm looking for a new all-go-to ski to bring on my ski trips and this looks the shot. I'm 173cm and wonder if you'd recommend the 172 or 178 for myself? I aim for 80% off the pist during my trips but snowy conditions don't always agree, always a bit between the lenghts.

I'd go with the 172--there's two sheets of metal in this ski so it's on the burlier side--no real need to upsize to access stability unless you know you prefer longer skis.

Has anybody had these out in powder conditions? If so, I'd appreciate their feedback.

i have a black ops 118 for deep days, ski alta/bird, but my 188 dancer 3 covers rest. Shovel is very stiff and ski does better carving in powder than when bases are flat. Doesn't plane as well as some softer shoveled skis and not as loose in powder as some other skis. More a directional charger than pow ski for sure.

I have stormrider 95s and I am looking for something to replace them as a daily runner but better in deeper snow, how does this compare?

There's more camber in the Dancer, and this makes it a bit divey in deeper snow. You get the width, but you're also getting camber, and that gives the ski fantastic energy but I wouldn't necessarily call it a floaty ski. In that mid-100's range, check out the Elan Ripstick 106 Black Edition or the Rossignol Sender 104 Ti.

I've had the newer stockli sr95 the silver and blue one and the soft shovel on that ski planes better than the 106 D3. The 106 D3 is a much stiffer ski than the SR95. 188 D3 is my daily driver at alta but on deep days i have a black ops 118

If my sweet spot is 180 cm in length would you size up or down?

Dancer has long camber, so they feel a bit long. Suppose I'd lean shorter if caught in the middle.

I'm 6'4 200 and ski the 188 and love them but if they had a 186 and a 190 I'd move down to the 186. Try to demo a pair if you can. They're a unique combo of very stiff but with lots of energy. It's a pretty unique feel.
