Most of us aren't pouring candles in full glam... I love that you keep it real. I think content is more relatable when we see the same struggles that we have. Very nice video! :)
100% soy here, but over in the UK so not sure if different brands of 100% soy work differently. I don’t get sink holes but I used to when I worked in a really cold garage, also if there’s any shift in temperature or a window open letting in a draft I used to get sink holes too. Maybe look at the temperature of the room and see if you can stabilise it? X
Did you ever try raising up your digi boil so that your scale and poring pitcher fit under it? I think it is memory box candle who puts it on concrete blocks. Just might save you a step in the process.
I use 464 wax and I’ve just come to terms that it is picky with fragrance oils. There are some fragrance oils that just work wonderfully and give me beautifully smooth tops with no sink holes right off the bat, I dont even need to use a heat gun, and some others where it is just a hot mess and I have to keep smoothing the tops over and over again. I had to come to terms that sometimes it is just not worth the effort, energy and anxiety to continue trying to make one fragrance oil work, so I just pivot from there. If I have a very particular vision I am trying to achieve with the FO that is not working, then I try to use a similar fragrance oil from a different supplier to see if that would fetch me better results. IDK if it helps! On the other hand, thanks for sharing!!! Love seeing the more candid, realistic content ❤️
It was a no go for me with the 444 wax for that reason alone. The ugly tops!! 😂 Same! 454 wax ❤er! I’m still trying to find the perfect wick for the 8 oz straight jars but the wax is amazing.
Soy10 has been great for me! One pour, perfect tops, slow burn, and Amazzzzzing CT & HT
Dani, your candle making is such an inspiration to me. Thanks for sharing these videos with us.

Thank you so much!
Not being a candle business owner myself (just a fan of candles), I loved the more vlog style vibes of this one!

Yesss i really want to try that! Thank you so much for the reminder. Gosh I love this community so much
Thank you for your videos! I'm not a candle maker, but would like to try for my family.
what size are your candle jars?
I am making candles and use CB Advanced Soy wax and i never had one sink hole but inalso made only around 200 to 300 candles
I just picked up that glue gun and plan on switching too! The wick stickers are so inconsistent. 😩
I use a silicone mat to pour on that way if I spill wax I just stretch the mat to get the wax off when it dries
Oh my gosh this is GENIUS!! Thank you so much for sharing!

Thank you so much for sharing this! I definitely notice a difference in tops with different oils. It’s so interesting!
