@@GeologyofGemsMinerals Amazing or not, your videos are worthy just on your knowledge. I appreciate them. I know some amateur geology and mineralogy but pretty basic really, it's a hobby for me and I enjoy it.

Very cool. Im actually heading back to the coast in the morning and stoping at barnhartvale rd near monte lake to look for baded agate and grab some low quality peridot from the basalt.

I have no idea if it can be found there - you'll have to check it out and see! To my knowledge, all opal in BC is basalt hosted so you could check geological maps.

Awesome video! There is so many spots in that central interior BC with so many different gems its just incredible. Me and my buddy live in Kamloops and we're yet to run out of unique spots to find gems- our only issue being that we can't seem to find precious opal since the majority of sites are claimed and private. Do you happen to know of any or do you still have the contact for the claim owner of the opal spot in this video? Thanks and keep up the great work :)

@@anjoliedefazio5789 there's good stuff all around kamloops here like in tranquille or around barnhartvale. Out towards westwold and falkland has some good stuff too. Savona mountain is a good place to start as well. Lots of common opal up there!

@@anjoliedefazio5789 I personally use Mapplace 2, it’s a government map site that uses mineral data sheets to show off a bunch of cool stuff. I like to look at mineral claims on there to see where and which way the geological trends go. Obviously I avoid claims, but knowing where the good rocks are can help for some great exploring!
