Yes! Man U are just a joke now. All that hard work and history making trophy winning years of Sir Alex is a long distance memory. It’s history repeating itself, the same happened after Sir Matt. It took another 26 yrs to get back where they were winning titles again and it could take that time again! It’s already been 11 yrs since the last Prem title. This also happened to Liverpool, it took us 30 yrs to win a title again! This is football and It can be a cruel game sometimes, but when you win it’s so sweet and this is why we all love the game.

Liv playing well & in much the same way as before isn’t a random bounce; it’s carrying on same level they’ve shown for years. As it’s the same team of players from last year that challenged until March, despite horrendous injuries. Same changing room & culture of title winners & high standards - which they manage very strictly themselves. So I think it’s a fair point that there’s a big gap. As United have to make up a lot of ground & Slot would have to be a disaster to drop Liv down to where United are trying to build back up from. Maybe both things will happen. Ten Hag has a very specific system which requires very specific players. The problem until now is he's been too stubborn to adapt when he didn't have those players. I think De Ligt, Yoro and Ugarte are all the right signings for this system, but if Ten Hag can't make it work then Utd are left with a very difficult squad to move on with a new manager.

There is just nothing to fear about Man United anymore. Watch four four two video on Man Utd's formation problems. Once you by pass their midfield (which is VERY easy) they have such a gap that you can run riot on goal. Now the formation isn't the problem but the players playing in that formation. The midfield pushes so high that leaves the CB with too much space. Or your DM can't move quick enough to capture those who get past which is what we see with Casemiro. His legs are gone. But I am not willing to put so much pressure on Ugarte. He won't solve everything because he can't make this team make better passes, be in position or actually shoot on target.

Ten Hag has a very specific system which requires very specific players. The problem until now is he's been too stubborn to adapt when he didn't have those players. I think De Ligt, Yoro and Ugarte are all the right signings for this system, but if Ten Hag can't make it work then Utd are left with a very difficult squad to move on with a new manager.

As a fan since 1976 I just want to see some consistency in our performances and some progression.
Watch four four two video on Man Utd's formation problems. Once you by pass their midfield (which is VERY easy) they have such a gap that you can run riot on goal. Now the formation isn't the problem but the players playing in that formation. The midfield pushes so high that leaves the CB with too much space. Or your DM can't move quick enough to capture those who get past which is what we see with Casemiro. His legs are gone. But I am not willing to put so much pressure on Ugarte. He won't solve everything because he can't make this team make better passes, be in position or actually shoot on target.

This game was lost by errors from Casemiro and a right back, playing at left back who had bombed forward prematurely. Buying Casemiro was 100% a mistake, but I'm inclined to believe it was one made by Woodward, not Eth.
As Gary says, the system was fully put in place this summer. It's been 3 games. Now is not yet the time for this boring debate, with the same old talking points.
