Had this puzzle downloaded for awhile. Seeing that you posted a video about it gave me the motivation to finally print it. Very difficult for sure. Took me about 2-3 hours over the course of a few days. Figuring out the 0 - 1 - 7 assembly is crucial
If you liked this one, there are puzzles really similar to this but 3D where you have to make them into pyramid shapes or they have random pieces sticking up into random directions but you have to arrange them to look flat on top. A lot of those have multiple levels and up to 100 different ways of completing the puzzle. Kanoodle and IQ Twist both sell good ones.
If you think about it, turning one of the two fives into a 2 would not change a lot the the solution, a part of the final solution would just be mirrored
I teach new job applicants and unemployed youth soft skills to prepare them for the workplace. One of the subjects I teach them is critical thinking. It actually a baby's puzzle toy. You can get it from China for 3 bucks but with multi colored number. If u want a clear acrylic one for a display piece, you can get it with 10 bucks or more.
I don’t think that is the solution, why would the 1 be the only one leaving zero triangle on the outside edge, I think he had it close when the puzzle was rotated at a 90°. If he flips some of the pieces over and stops worrying about the smooth side that was face down when they printed I think it would have a different result
The 1 will always leave a zero triangle unless it's slotted in the 0, as will the 7, due to the nature of the puzzle's construction. They need a flat edge for structural stability purposes. If it were an actual 8-bit digit rather than a physical model, it wouldn't need to meet in the middle and the pattern would be preserved.
Thank you. This was bothering me. Not the 2 fives. I feel like there should be a solution that positions the 1 and the 0 somewhere in the middle of the puzzle and this way keeps the pattern intact throught the whole puzzle. While placing the 0 and the 1 at (or the 7) at the edge of the puzzle results I a lack of empty space on the edges. But I'm not 100% confident the puzzle can be solved like that. Might just be a design quirk...
@@5bars3g36 it’s quite clear that the flat edges of the 1, 7 and 0 do not go on the edge of the puzzle. The coordinate in the middle somewhere. If I had a 3D printer I would make one of these and solve it myself with a link to the real solution
