I just want to say I really admire your passion for teaching special education. My son has various needs and I would love for you to be his teacher if I could choose. Due to his health needs, we decided to keep him home. Your videos have given me MANY ideas to use with him...which he has been loving! You are my teacher too!
I know that you recorded this over a year ago, but the mat/folder idea for the Fundations program to use as take home is a great idea. I made some Velcro folders for using with my kiddos, where we can keep track of the letters we've worked on plus having a practice space for them to write the letter several times. When we get to the blending of sounds to create words, it can also be used for that.
New subscriber here 👋! I love watching your videos because I find them so informative. I’m a para working in LA and I absolutely love working with SPED students. Really looking into becoming a teacher and these videos motivate me even more. Thank you for creating this content ❤️!
I'm so happy I found your videos to reignite my personal mission in this field. Xoxo Great, honest videos. I love fundations. Are you Wilson certified, too?
If you don't mind my asking, how many paraeducators work in your classroom? I've been trying to brainstorm centers, but with the availability with our para/teacher to student ratio as well as students' needs, we tend to keep us in whole group or at one center at a time.
In the UK we just call the date with numbers the short date. And that's how I've taught it to children in the past. But now I'm questioning if that's the real name of it or its just a commonly used phrase that I'm now spreading as fact 😂

I am new to sped and I was lost because no one explains to you how to do a curriculum and how to deal with classroom management.
@Chymeeras Lair I am in the same with you!
Exactly!! How can I modify curriculum that I don’t know?!

Did you end up in a different classroom or did they paint?
Learn to say NO without explaining yourself.
