Thankfully I haven’t witnessed this anywhere that I’m aware of. Sure would be devastating!
The way the temps are looking here in SE MI we may not have to worry about winter kill this year, lol. Great video 👍

Do the fish sink to the bottom or float on the top when they get winter kill ?

It depends on the state of the swim bladder and how much gas they have in their body cavity from bacterial activity.

thank very much for your help. Have a 5 acre. I only stocked 250 crappies in it. I think will be alright for this. I plan on putting a wind mill this so i think will be ok. @@thegreatlakesfisherman
