I personally love Ex-Mørtis because it’s a style of song that a lot of people, myself included, did not expect to hear from INK. It’s really groovy, pun intended, and definitely fits the vibe of Evil Dead.
it was the opposite for me. i still really love the song a lot but its become less listenable to me as time goes on. still an amazing song tho and i love it a lot
As a huge fan of the Evil Dead franchise and is really hyped for Evil Dead Rises, this song fits the franchise perfectly. Definitely one of my favorites
When you understand the tone of the Evil Dead franchise, the tone of this song clicks. The Evil Dead through the Starz Tv show Ash v Evil Dead are equal parts gore, horror, and three stooges style comedy. Totally worth checking these movies out even if you don’t like horror.
When people were hyping it up, I don't think they were doing it in a head banging death metal type of way. More in a, I can get down with this and jam out kinda way. I loved this song also
Really appreciate an actual reactor who can say they aren’t hyped up by a song. I swear everyone just pretends to love every song ever, just to gain fans. Appreciate that true review and opinion. God Bless Gibby!
I think I liked this song so much because it’s totally not what you expect. It’s so catchy and I like others have said, it really hits the mark with The Evil Dead.
I personally love the whole album. This song is just so much fun. The best part about INK (for me) is that they give you so much variety. If you’re not into really heavy stuff, you got songs like Ex Mortis, Rainy Day, F.L.Y but if you’re looking for really heavy, you got Take Your Pick, Wurst Vacation, and Farewell II Flesh. It’s the different options for me. I agree with everyone, this song hits the nail on the head when it comes to the tone and theme of the movie it’s based on. It’s fine that you’re not the biggest fan, you don’t have to like EVERYTHING!!! 😊
This song is just about jamming out. Nothing complicated and has that old school style to it with a modern twist. Plus Evil dead atmosphere all the way.
Ex Mortis was definitely one of my favorites on this album. You don't have to be in an aggro mood to simply just jam and rock out to this one. That is one of the reasons that I enjoy INK. In one album you go from corpsegrinder to theatrical to octane-core to bluesy. This INK album has a song for any vibe that you are rocking IMO.
My favorite track on the album. And that's saying something, since at least half a dozen tracks on this album alone are among my top 30 favorite metalcore songs of all time. INK is so freaking good 🤘🤘 The old school phonograph melody at the beginning just sets the tone for the whole song. Love the whole "classic swing" style of the instrumentals 😍 It's not super heavy like Wurst Vacation and Funeral Derangements, but it's so powerful, catchy, and clean in the instrumentals that it perfectly offsets the extremely hard-core nature of many of the other tracks. Masterclass album that showcases the insane flexibility of style of every single person in this band 👌 If I could pick any time to be a teenager in US history, it would surely be the roaring 50s. Love the culture, music, and style of the roaring 50s.
Dope as heck for being honest with your opinion. I honestly had to listen to the whole album twice to...dig all of it. This one ends a way it really should. It's more of a "marching" style song with a great outro. Out of the songs in the album this song would be the one to have an outro like that. Plus as others said it matched the evil dead franchise pretty well. This is for sure one of my top songs personally. But I enjoy the "marching" style. It's like calling everyone together about to go to battle. Idk, jus hypes me up.
Aww too bad you don't like it as much, though your honesty is appreciated! Don't give up on the song just yet, I needed to give it a few listens as well. But the jazz in there, the grooviness, it's so fun to sing along.. imagine hearing that song live with the crowd singing along... anyways, hopefully you'll like Farewell II Flesh better :)
I adore Evil Dead and this song kicks a lot of ass! It's just like the films: Demonic and terrifying, but also off the wall and hilarious! Second best Rock/Metal Song Of The Year!
I definitely can’t pick what song off the album is my fav I’m a big horror nerd and have had a crush on Bruce Campbell since I was little so part of me goes hard with this song but this whole album is amazing
Ok gibby ma brotha, this song is probably in my top three ok this album, I think to really appreciate this song you have to see the movies, so I completely understand why you don’t think it’s as good, but this song matches evil dead so perfectly with the goofy and the violent dark parts, plus the one liners that ash says all the time are perfect in the breakdown
To each their own, man. I definitely thought this was probably the best song on the album. They really went diverse with this track. Definitely watch the Evil Dead series to truly appreciate this song. Loving your reactions, man-keep up the good work
Easily one of my favorite tracks off the album, though it's a personal bias. Being from Michigan, where Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell both came from, I've been in love with the Evil Dead franchise since I was young. Song does the franchise absolute justice. Genuinely respect your take on it, however.
I totally agree that the actual movies the songs are based on have a huge impact on the quality of the song. This definitely isn't the best song on the album but if you go and watch the movie it's made almost perfectly to fit it
How can you like take your pick because to me I can't understand 95% of the words in the song. If I can't hear the lyrics I won't like the song but I like screaming when its clean and understandable.
I’m gonna have to agree with this being an overhyped track. Granted it’s not the least appealing track on the album, but there are only a few songs this one beats out for me
WHAT THE HELL DO YOU MEAN IT'S NOT THE BEST SONG ON THE ALBUM, I CALL YOUR TASTE IN MUSIC INTO QUESTION...for real though it's my favorite song off the album but it's not for you so it's cool.
I question your ethics on thinking your superior and know what everyone should be into. By the way I am your superior so behave or you get put in a cage.
ALL OF MY INK REACTIONS SO FAR: bit.ly/3n2qgdL
I personally love Ex-Mørtis because it’s a style of song that a lot of people, myself included, did not expect to hear from INK. It’s really groovy, pun intended, and definitely fits the vibe of Evil Dead.
Agreed
Groovy.
This is a song that definitely grows on you. I liked this song from the beginning, but now it's definitely one of my favorites
it was the opposite for me. i still really love the song a lot but its become less listenable to me as time goes on. still an amazing song tho and i love it a lot
As a huge fan of the Evil Dead franchise and is really hyped for Evil Dead Rises, this song fits the franchise perfectly. Definitely one of my favorites
When spencer says ex Morris… that’s the only highlight for me. The chorus is good and fun but what ink chorus isn’t good…?
When you understand the tone of the Evil Dead franchise, the tone of this song clicks. The Evil Dead through the Starz Tv show Ash v Evil Dead are equal parts gore, horror, and three stooges style comedy. Totally worth checking these movies out even if you don’t like horror.
Completely agree. It’s a fun song and really fits the franchise
100% true. perfect music for the kind of movies it is based on
Remember the first movie with rapist trees?
When people were hyping it up, I don't think they were doing it in a head banging death metal type of way. More in a, I can get down with this and jam out kinda way. I loved this song also
This one is groovy
We need to show this to Bruce Campbell!
You read my mind
Fun fact Charlie Scene co wrote this
Really appreciate an actual reactor who can say they aren’t hyped up by a song. I swear everyone just pretends to love every song ever, just to gain fans. Appreciate that true review and opinion. God Bless Gibby!
Chorus is so catchy
I think I liked this song so much because it’s totally not what you expect. It’s so catchy and I like others have said, it really hits the mark with The Evil Dead.
Farewell 2 flesh will get you trust me!!

Not quite sure where the disrespect could be, Volbeat is awesome!
Ex Mortis was definitely one of my favorites on this album. You don't have to be in an aggro mood to simply just jam and rock out to this one.

This is definitely a song that really benefits from seeing the movies. The tone and references fit the evil dead franchise perfectly.
Love how they made a swing-metalcore song 😂
Dope as heck for being honest with your opinion. I honestly had to listen to the whole album twice to...dig all of it. This one ends a way it really should. I didn’t even listen to the full thing when it came on first…and now I find myself searching this song in my playlist 😂
Love it!! Thank you for the reaction.
My favorites are in no particular order: Ex-Mørtis, Welcome To Horrorwood, The Shower Scene, The Box and Farewell II Flesh
The Box sounds very similar to Avenged Sevenfold
Ex mortis and rainy days are just good jamming tracks. Something to pick you up. Farewell 2 flesh is probably the best track.

It's not my favorite, but it makes me wanna dance and that is why I listen to it the most.
Not my favorite track but for me it comes in 1st place for the most fun song on the album
I definitely can’t pick what song off the album is my fav I’m a big horror nerd and have had a crush on Bruce Campbell since I was little so part of me goes hard with this song but this whole album is amazing
My favorite song on the record but it is the least sounding ice nine kills song on the record.
I really hope it gets a music video
Ok gibby ma brotha, this song is probably in my top three ok this album, I think to really appreciate this song you have to see the movies, so I completely understand why you don’t think it’s as good, but this song matches evil dead so perfectly with the goofy and the violent dark parts, plus the one liners that ash says all the time are perfect in the breakdown

From the moment I heard this, I knew it would be my favorite song on the album. The only one that comes close is Welcome To Horrorwood
Gotta love Gibby gang he's always honest definitely my favorite UA-cam reactor
This song makes me dancing 🙈
Very nice song
Gibby gang 4life

Man you never watched the Evil Dead movies, of course it's "overhyped" to you
This is a fine take, still a good track that happens to be not as strong as others in a fantastic album!
This is definitely the most unique song on the album and it's such a blast. It's not my favorite on the album, but its still such an awesome song
I’m gonna have to agree with this being an overhyped track. Granted it’s not the least appealing track on the album, but there are only a few songs this one beats out for me
i agree with this statement completely. i only rly think its better than rainy day, welcome to horrorwood, FLY, and shower scene
I'm in agreement, this was a good song but this and Wurst Vacation were my least favorites.
I agree. Was an interesting track and different sound, and I liked it, but I honestly think this is one of the weakest songs on the album.
I think they should've got Bruce Campbell on this he would've helped them make a better song. I liked parts of it. The way below shit was annoying
WHAT THE HELL DO YOU MEAN IT'S NOT THE BEST SONG ON THE ALBUM, I CALL YOUR TASTE IN MUSIC INTO QUESTION...for real though it's my favorite song off the album but it's not for you so it's cool.
