Holy shit, I had no idea.. Maybe there were a lot of reasons Episode 3 (or HL3) never came out that went way beyond gaming, like respecting these folks in a way. Seeing this made me think a few different things. It makes me sad, I love the Half-Life universe so much, I had no idea some of the actual real people behind it had already passed away. Makes you think about mortality. But then if you think about it, this franchise still brings a lot of joy to a lot of people, and there is a lot of nostalgia and also there are whole communities of streamers and modders and fan-creators that keep the the Half-Life universe feeling alive, and these folks will be part of it forever.
Its 2024 Gordan sat on a lonely bench at night it's been 20 years since the citidal and he is all but forgotten with nothing but the gravity gun for company,not even alyx can remember him
