I typically use the magic to pick off the more tougher characters from a distance. Especially when there are bossfights where you have npcs help out. That way the bosses focus on my meat shield as i snipe them off with that spell you start off with.
I have had a great experience in it so far. I missed a lot in my first go around, since I am noticing a lot more things in my second go lol. But Sorcery was great. Tons of unique "spells" to choose from and take stuff down from afar.
Source is magic damage. The fish people in this game deal source and I think there are a few others as well. Degradation is I believe the dark damage. Towards the end of the game you fight enemies covered in a black cloud of sorts. I am pretty sure that is what that is. On armor I would imagine your defense is higher against those two. Personally I didn't switch armor much. Lighter armor seemed unintentionally better because being overweight actually reduces your stamina regen. Hope that helps!
It does look kind of goofy but I love it to death. The combat is topnotch and the story is amazing. The magic is cool though. Even if you don't play it, its neat to see what is there.
how do you actually change the spell or item you are currently using what is the button you press? I have (I'm on keyboard) , without going through the inventory and switching them. For example heroic icon is default first so you use Q to "use / cast" it but I have shurikens on secondary underneath the icon, how do I switch to the shurikens or use them while heroic icon is the primary "spell / item" usage on the Q key. There doesn't seem to be any hotkey in the controller remapping settings
I just went and checked this to make sure it worked. Controller = Down or up on key pad Keyboard = down arrow key The weird thing is I was unable to change the key binds without a controller because once inside I could not scroll down. But you should be able to change the down arrow to a different hot key.
There is a castle you go to. Has glass stained windows. At the bottom of the winding stair case there should be the code. (First boss as in first of the four heros) Should be after the grinder fight. Hope that helps.
While there are some nice utility spells, I was really hoping for some more interesting offensive & projectile spells. Proximity mines, damaging pixel clouds, delayed projectiles... but nope. Maybe my standards are too high?
I understand where you are coming from. In the end the best ability was the one you start with. A nice damage projectile that costs a low amount of source to use. The poison one was great as well, but all the others were mostly just cool or fun rather than practical. At least for a full mage that is.
So I just checked an it looks like it won't be coming to PS4. Only on console and X-box. Google: "Xbox One, Microsoft Windows, Xbox Series X and Series S"

I very much liked the NPC's helping in boss fights. Merkle of course being my favorite lol
Nice Vid, I love this game and can't wait to do another playthrough as the Sourcerer

As an darksouls 3, outward, elden ring player i might get this
It is 100% worth it. The combat is very fun and the story is unbelievable.
Outward is sexual as hell.
hey you were a big help last time, so I was hoping you could explain to me what "Source" and "Degradation" does for a piece of armour?

I already found the ability, and thought the same (of the " Main heroes"), but thanks anyway

This video is longer than any review for the game lol
