I’m surprised and amazed Fender has done this! More post rock / Shoegaze, less dad rock/blues. Great choice ❤
I etched for mono on a show and I learnt a whole new level of real precision in tone and approach, Takaakira hired 4 fender twins then spent an hour with them all lined up listening to each one and singling them out until he had picked the one , he spoke mostly in Japanese but would use hand signs to describe what he was hearing with different pedals on, he played an almost religious set to me, it was meditative and contemplative and so emotional and just when I thought it was this soft musical journey hey let off his seat and was hammering his jazz master and hitting pedals and the noise was like what I imagine being inside the eye of a hurricane ,. it was ON ANOTHER LEVEL , ive been guitar tech for maybe 100+ bands over 30 years and no band has ever had an experience on me for with me like MONO. I didn't know there work before the show so im not a fanboy but as I packed down that night I knew looking into the people quietly preparing themselves to go home , everyone else was in the same space I was, liken had all as a group been ushered through this experience but we all travelled it on our own inside (a shared isolated personal experience I guess) and how their music effected us was our own. this is the height of what guitar music can be when you take away ego . thank you for that night Takaakira and Mono.
WOW! This has to be one of the most well produced, shot and edited videos of MONO I've ever seen. Thank you Fender!
I've seen Mono live multiple times at small venues and had the pleasure of meeting them. Their sound is huge and at their shows you can feel the music wash over your entire body. It's hard to capture the intensity of how epic this band is, but I'm delighted Fender made this video. An amazing snapshot of one of the best bands on the planet.
Been listening to Mono since 2008 and really appreciate that you highlight this amazing band.
Man, these curtains!! Pure genius.
Thank you Fender for this epic and unexpected upload! Deep love and eternal respect for MONO...
Most unexpected and beautiful notification i recieved. Best post rock band of all time
Great collaboration, @Fender! MONO is the reason I bought a Jazzmaster; incredible stuff.
Its so cool to see MONO on the Fender page! Im a big fan. Shoutouts to the post-rock community! Please add more!
Mono...Best band of the universe...
Best thing I've seen on the internet in a long time
Mono. Soundtrack of my 20s. Dreams of Finlandia and Japan.
Would buy a signature Jazzmaster in a heartbeat. That JM/Twin combo has taken the air out of my lungs several times from the front row. ❤
Utterly glorious.
The greatest band humanity ever have known
This band has been a huge inspiration on us forming and to finally see them get this recognition and quality of production is actually quite emotional, even though we don't know them. Fender should also be commended for making it solely about the music and not pushing new instruments in the video to try and sell a few extra guitars. ❤
So suprised to see Mono here!
Seen them live a few times. Doesn't get much better than this.
Hell yeah I love MONO. Glad they're getting some love on here
