the reason s16 was so good is cause they put a lot of spotlight on the first out's before they left so the season felt very strong cast wise cause we got to know everyone. it reminds me of s6 where every queen in the cast had at least one or two memorable moments and made an impact while they were there.
Season 17 is so bland thus far. They need to stop casting babies with no experience. It shows and I think we're gonna be in for a cringe fest of a season
HARD disagree. I am absoluetely hooked on 17. The queens are already giving so much storyline. Pretty much every single queen has something going on in the werk room. Some of the queens are less well-rounded than others, but they all have some form of expertise in drag.
@@brook117I mostly agree. I saw Lucky’s and went “Oh! I live! She’s the winner!” I felt like it was a slightly upgraded Burger Finger (which I didn’t entirely enjoy tbh, but the genuine camp/creativity was here). Other than that, the talent show was just alright. No one really stuck out and while I LOVE that they are living for the tap dancing and Suzie’s kind of alt drag, I didn’t get much out of it
I’m tired of every drag race viewer being a follower and can’t stand when people like queens outside the season front runners and the twinks of the cast
s12 unwatchable? I love your videos buy my god, that is literally not true, s12 is watchable because they had to reedit and it added more storylines and time focused on other queens
Personally, I much prefer Season 16 to Season 15, but mostly because of Plane Jane, the fact that most of the cast felt polished and TV-ready, and the outstanding performances. The winner's storyline was not handled well, but I felt the rest of the season had some good storylines. But it still can't truly compare to Seasons 2 through 9.
8:28 This is actually an great idea... Why didn't they enter separately? It would be better because: 1. We would know them separately first, enjoy them, then enjoy them as a duo later; 2. More engagement for the episode they reunite... I guess since Ep2 resolved all of this, no drama or excitement would possibly have been made while separating them. Actually, they should just have done what BB5 and BB17 did lmao. Switching girlies between the days, for which one would "perform" better in a challenge, until the mid way point (Ex:. Ep6), sounds gaggy and a also, an easy ass storyline to make. THIS should've been so much better, now that we are revisiting this season....
0:27 Sorry you had to go through this. It sucks tremendously. It shouldn't have gone down that way. Usually what I find, if a job sounds too good to be true, it's either toxic af, or they lied to you about something. Glad you got out of there. Canada's Drag Race has been pretty interesting, and UK is great again, Maybe you can do some videos for them?
I love season 15. Yes I agree with your criticisms, but I feel like it was an improvement and the regular US seasons keep getting better. Where as All Stars has been flopping since AS8.
In my delusion, either MIB or Sasha Colby should have in the bottom 2 for the interview episode because they were criminally bad. I'm surprised how this is not talked about at all.
The top 2 feels correct. A lot of people dismisses Luxx because they don't like her personality, but she has the talent to back it up because she could easily have 4 wins, she was a very close second place in the Interview and in the Final Video challenge (I wish she had at least won the interview challenge so we would have 3 girls in the finale with 3 wins). Also she is still young and with a lot of time to grow. Sasha winning is still the right outcome tho. I'm happy that, after so many years, finally someone won with the track-record and storyline to back it up.
I love your channel, please come back and do this more if you feel it's what you want to do! Your points system has become a foundation for so many drag race content creators out there, you are a bit of a trailblazer.
I'm not against the 40-45 minutes episode if they edit this season to be 40 minutes in the first place. From what we got, it seems like the producer already edit the episode to be 60 minutes but then had to cut it down to 40 minutes and some queen is just lost in the edit (Robin). And even if I love MIB, she deserve to be in the bottom2 in the makeover cause Loosey's make over is nowhere near the bottom
So glad to see you post again! You have always been my favorite drag race commentator. Season 15 was extremely predictable and it was hard to root for anyone because no matter what happened, Sasha was winning. It was a bit boring. I hope you like season 16! I thought it was an improvement from 15. Hope to see some content for 17 in the future.
I Don't know with you think like me, but watching the season i feel that they lost a very good storyline between sasha and luxx, mostly because they tried to put anetra in this position of the "secret threat" "the shy girl who does everything" but after the premiere she kinda withered with all the big personalities in the room, so if they kinda had promoted more Luxx and gave her more challenge wins i think they could have had a great storyline between the Young, Model girl vs the performer, older queen who is in biz for a long time.
and its so obvious why they had the snatch game so earlier because of sugar and spice, they def knew by their audition tapes that they were going to be horrid. So they go ahead and have snatch game early just so they can have them LS againt each other and end the storyline between them becaue it was getting old fast. overall though i actually liked this season, some of the best LS4YL, the drama was good from MIB v Loosey and Malaysia.
They should've kept Sugar over Spice. Sugar can actually sew and design so would've been able to not be total dead weight for the rest of the contest. This challenge order also did not serve the queens. E.g. having that tv hosting challenge would've been a great early challenge for a team to handle instead of doing it when there's only 6 or 7 left.
Honestly? I'm glad you left that place, Uckey. Like, your workplace shouldn't meddle with your activities out of it, let alone making you choose. Not sure if you plan on returning more frequently to UA-cam but alas I wish you the best for all these years making amazing content (even if people think you are toxic for adding math and media discussion to a TV show with a competition format 😂)
I didn’t watch season 15 live and when I finally got to it I was very underwhelmed, as people were sooo praising it all the time. Yes it fixed most of s14 mistakes but it wasn’t enough. That said, I think in all senses season 16 is a better version than season 15 and it was, in my opinion, the best season since 12
"Are the queens' names on season 17 more normal?" Wait until you hear of Lydia Butthole Collins, Sam Star, Acacia Forgot, Hormona Lisa, Onya Nurve and Lana Ja'Rae 😅
season 15 was the first full season that I've watched and the final four are my favorite out of all them, but I will say loosey's elimination was soooo forced 😭😭😭 it was so obvious they had the final four in mind from the beginning or else they would've eliminated mib during the lalaparuza against jax. they should've just did a double shantay and have luxx and loosey go on to the finale, especially since loosey was doing objectively better than luxx in the completion, but they had to end the storyline with something even if it didn't make sense
Firstly, I loved that this season stuck to a queen will be going home every week. It made the season feel competitive. Secondly, Sugar and Spice were fun to have in the werkroom but I think they will do so much better on an all stars individually. The first three episodes showed how much they relied on each other. The challenges were good but once again just felt very samie. Even 50/50 was a boring challenge that was only made funny by Charro and Connie. Overall a solid 7/10 season but in comparison to 16, it lacks a certain flavour that 16 managed very naturally
I'm sorry about your job being so annoying and stressful, but it seems like slowing down potentially did some good for yourself? Either way we're glad to have u. back! Also, I can understand s14 being a mess to try and understand or explain, but honestly at face value I'd say it was one of the more enjoyable watches. I understand the sentiment of too many twists calling the integrity of the show into question, but I personally had fun with the season and the queens and the lipsyncs and I also thought some of the challenges were good breaths of fresh air for the franchise. Like the 1st out infomercials, the super teaser challenge, Daytona Wind, and Moulin Ru I think gave new life to certain challenges people started to lose interest in and started off a decent track record for entertaining challenges in the future seasons. Though, I do agree that s15 was vanilla. However, I think it was needed after how chaotic s14 was AND because they had just moved to MTV, a standard cookie-cutter format was, in the long run, smart. And I think s16 and s17 have struck a decent enough balance with twists and staying true to the show's format, so if it ever behooves you, I'd recommend watching s16 bc I really liked it. Apart from the weird editing with Nymphia, and some choices in certain acting and comedy challenges that might be hard to watch.
I do wanna know, How is the lipsync episode counted toward their track records? Great video by the way, I think it would be funny if you did a what if sugar stayed over Spice just because Spice kept swearing up and down Sugar could sew so maybe Sugar would've done better?
I honestly liked season 15 a lot. l’d probably put it in my top 5 regular seasons but it probably is because of how much i adored the top 5 + how much i needed to have a distraction like drag race when it aired. It was a weird year and season 15 rlly helped me so i do have this bias. I am aware of its many faults. PS: I didn t enjoy season 16 as much as season 15, I’d say it s an ok season. PSS: The names on season 17 are much more acceptable PSSS: Aura could get it any day of the week mwah😘
Aura in your “actually good competitors list” Thirst is undefeatable I sincerely think they made a misstep with eliminating Irene early. Her looks were great and she had a great catty personality and is funny as hell. She just swung big and missed catastrophically at the first challenge and got put up against a wannabe pop star to the least interesting Ariana Grande hit. If they’d made it a top 2 for the first episode she’d probably have gotten decently far.
I don't think sugar and spice were gimmick casting, but I do think they were poorly utilized talent. I actually followed them on tiktok before the cast was announced.
My main problem is how forced it felt crowning Sasha Colby, I know she is a legend,I know she is fierce and she deserved the crown but it felt like producers were giving her many undeserving victories when other queens did better like MIB during the ball or Loosey during the 50/50s challenge. Now she should’ve won the girl group challenge that being said she would’ve ended win 3 challenge wins and being tied with Anetra. Producers wanted us to believe she was slaying the competition and being realistic she wasn’t.
so excited for you to watch S16, do I think it’s perfect or good, nope, it ultimately still has all the flaws of modern drag race, but of the season that I watched live is definitely the one I found most entertaining (14,15,16). can’t wait to hear your thoughts and prayers 🤧
I also didn't like sesaon 15, but season 16 was amazing, can't wait for you to watch it. For 17 it's way too early to tell, although it seems that a lot of the queens started building storylines since episode 1, they seem ready for TV.
I agree with everything you said negatively about the season but also everything you understood as positive changes to the show at least TO ME they outweigh the bad stuff. After season 16 I feel like the main show found its footing again. on the other hand, all stars keeps getting worse and worse, it's been a shit show the past couple seasons with the only redeemable qualities - if we can even say that - being what the queens bring to the runway and some performance based challenges because they cast top performers. I hope season 17 keeps the momentum of 15&16 🙏🏻
I'm glad you just chose to do what you enjoyed and what was right for you. hopefully, if you do leave UA-cam, i hope it's to do something you enjoy more than UA-cam

10:16 I think you making fun of someone for being happy with their body isn’t the read you think it is. You consistently make fatphobic and ableist comments and bring down the performers not the show. Like is clear you don’t do drag but consistently tear these girls apart with personal critiques like your Sasha Colby herself. Bizarre
I have to defend the season because you said you watched the 40min version of the first half of the season. Season 15 was made to be 60min long ALL episodes, but MTV cut it to 40min because of a shit reality show with Todrick Hall. This caused a lot of the long running storylines and content for the early out queens to be cut, because the edit focused on the top 8 (expect for Robin Fierce, she really gave nothing to edit). If you watch the 60min version of all the episodes, the season gets a lot better.
”Season 12 was unwatchable”, ”Season 14 was just a complete shitshow, truly the worst season of Drag Race“ Honestly you’re such a negative person and you give the worst takes I’ve ever heard. Was once a fan of your content, but I believe I’ll unsubscribe. You’re the worst type of Drag Race ‘fan’.
To be fair, the S12 argument is kinda valid since that's not even the S12 we were supposed to see. We would have received the worst version of Gigi and non-existent versions of other queens because that season was tailored for the rotten apple to be the hero and intended winner S14's argument is actually so common I don't think you can hold it against them. It was a lot and not in the good way. Phenomenal queens get swallowed by production shenanigans every single episode
There are "fans" that consistently threaten the Queens lives, get their accounts banned, talk constant shit about them, as well as never forgiving a mistake they made on TV. Yet, this one drag race creator is somehow the worst type of drag race fan? You really sound so unserious, like bffr.
Bro… you sound like someone forced you to watch the show. I know it was not a flawless season but you sound so damn negative and almost insulting to the queens…
Congrats on leaving that job tho. we should always follow our gut feelings in these situations bc capitalism is getting worse and worse every day, and you should always value your accomplishments
Agree with you on this season. I gave up watching and started tuning into the highlights cause it was mostly meh for me. Still hold Anetra in a high regard though
Calling sugar and spice plain stupid is a little over board, please remind yourself it’s just a show, I think it’s best you stop making drag videos if you don’t actually like the show anymore, all your videos it feels like you always speak so badly about the show (which is okay have your opinion werk) but not speaking your options about queens and their intelligent or not isn’t something you be speaking about so negatively cause there’s truly a lot of things we can say about how you look. ❤

It was a weird year and season 15 rlly helped me so i do have this bias. I am aware of its many faults.
PS: I didn t enjoy season 16 as much as season 15, I’d say it s an ok season.
PSS: The names on season 17 are much more acceptable
PSSS: Aura could get it any day of the week mwah😘
Aura in your “actually good competitors list”
Thirst is undefeatable
I sincerely think they made a misstep with eliminating Irene early.
I'm sorry but Aura was total filler as well
0:14 well, is there any other point sistem besides yours?
Yes...quite a few
Theres the 10 point system where win is 10, top2 is 9, high is 8, safe is 5, low is 3, btm is 1, elim is 0
And a system which enters the negatives
I don't think sugar and spice were gimmick casting, but I do think they were poorly utilized talent. I actually followed them on tiktok before the cast was announced.
10:19 body positivity is only an American thing? Huh 😂😂😂
How the hell did you find the 40 minute episodes I thought those were all fixed on streaming
For 17 it's way too early to tell, although it seems that a lot of the queens started building storylines since episode 1, they seem ready for TV.
girl is there anything you don't complain about?
IKR!!!. i love his videos but .....
Wow until this recap I didn't realise how forgettable this season was
I agree with everything you said negatively about the season but also everything you understood as positive changes to the show at least TO ME they outweigh the bad stuff. After season 16 I feel like the main show found its footing again. on the other hand, all stars keeps getting worse and worse, it's been a shit show the past couple seasons with the only redeemable qualities - if we can even say that - being what the queens bring to the runway and some performance based challenges because they cast top performers. I hope season 17 keeps the momentum of 15&16 🙏🏻
Great video! Nice to hear your thoughts again
I'm glad you just chose to do what you enjoyed and what was right for you. hopefully, if you do leave UA-cam, i hope it's to do something you enjoy more than UA-cam
Girl just quit reviewing if you have nothing nice to say, especially if all you’re going to do is drag down the actual artists.
Reviews do not need to be all positive, like what do you think a review is?
@@trevorbrooks7816they don’t have to be positive but doing something you clearly don’t enjoy is…. Interesting
why'd you even click on the video then?????
@@GreenGlamourQueer reviewing something you didnt enjoy can be enjoyable because you can see if other people share your opinion, come on now, dont be naive
@@trevorbrooks7816 absolutely, but why keep coming back to something you don’t like and only do that, he used to have another channel talking about other things but he stopped doing that and that was something I enjoyed but now he just comes back to talk about something he clearly will never be happy with, he could change what he is talking about or expand his range or even talk about dragula and critique that but he doesn’t he just comes back with the same thing and not only that every once in a while I leave his videos feeling disgusting in the blatant fatphobic and ableist comments he makes from time to time, some people are just getting exhausted
Bizarre
I don’t think it’s crazy to critique the girls on their performance in the show but you low key insult these girls on things they cannot change
So true, the Paramount+ version of S15 is a lot better and has more consistent editing and storylines for most of the season
why not apply the same from ep 12 to ep 14... anetra would have been second
omg I won so bad, uckey is back and it’s picking DR back up, woohoo 🥳
”Season 12 was unwatchable”, ”Season 14 was just a complete shitshow, truly the worst season of Drag Race“
Honestly you’re such a negative person and you give the worst takes I’ve ever heard. Was once a fan of your content, but I believe I’ll unsubscribe. You’re the worst type of Drag Race ‘fan’.
To be fair, the S12 argument is kinda valid since that's not even the S12 we were supposed to see. We would have received the worst version of Gigi and non-existent versions of other queens because that season was tailored for the rotten apple to be the hero and intended winner
S14's argument is actually so common I don't think you can hold it against them.
Was Luxx wearing Princess Poppys promo look?
Congrats on leaving that job tho. we should always follow our gut feelings in these situations bc capitalism is getting worse and worse every day, and you should always value your accomplishments
Leí tus razones de porque no estás al día con Drag Race ❤
These takes are wild
I still don't think Sasha should have won.
Agree with you on this season. I gave up watching and started tuning into the highlights cause it was mostly meh for me. Still hold Anetra in a high regard though
When I was watching this season all I could think of was you (heh) going and the hate towards Hispanic and Asian queens persists.

S16 is really good! 😍
Luxxx was so annoying!
Its obvious that you arent from western country, not bc of an accent, lol, but bc of your opinions, theyre kinda similar to mine. I also don't like 12-15 seasons, especially season 14 (I agree that it is the worst one) and youre like the only drag race youtuber that doesnt afraid to critisize b queens and more fair to asian queens, unlike westerners
iirc uckey is from Serbia
NGL i thought of u when she said that...
It’s funny how this guy always complains in all of his youtube channels.
Uckey is back!
Were you being sarcastic about Aura? 😂😭
