I’m surprised the bioficers don’t make flesh bodies and sell them to the scourge as hosts that would be cool lore. At first I didn’t like the ship designs but as I learn more and keep seeing them they have been growing on me to the point where I’m now ordering a starter set. They remind me of the alien rifle that shoots lightning from district 9 movie.
@dmr7356 I also had my reservations, but the spare, angular design of Bioficer ships has grown on me, too. It makes sense for a race where a lot of the usual space for a crew to sleep, eat, relax, etc, simply wouldn't be needed.
@@dmr7356 Bioficer drones don't live long, to the point that they lack things like a digestive system. Also, the lack of a brain probably makes them much less attractive to the Scourge.
And the Bioficers have no need of commerce.
What game are those infantry miniatures from?
@@epicd6794 Striketeam Commander - which will be on Kickstarter later this year. A preview is already up.
They seem a bit to similar to the Scourge to me, Scourge need a host and these Bioficers also so far have a huge appetite for bio-mass (for it's own sake).
But they could be an interresting twist. The Scourge might take ovre the bodies of others and inhabit them while the Bioficers "eat/consume them to keep going (for some AI-hivemind reason)?
As I understand it, the Bioficers build drones from biomass, temporarily shifting their consciousness on-board. The Bioficers exist only as digital intelligences.
I think they will play in a way that's quite distinct from the Scourge. I can't wait to see this on the tabletop. 🙂
How will you feel with this new race attempting to steal the title of big bad guy from the scourge? If they were fleeing, has their conquest of earth and advancements put them in a better position to fight back to out things in a more even footing?
I think my favourites are still the phr and shaltari! Something about the aesthetics and fluff doesn’t seem quite as intriguing to me as the others though that may change when they fluff them out more.
@@Aneirinprime I think the Bioficers are intriguing - but will need a lot of development before they threaten the Scourge for the bad guy crown.

@@The.Game.Cave. I wish that the reconquest would give the scourge more victories. I understand them being thrown off guard in the first few battles, but each phase (as far as I read) just seemed to be a string of UCM victories. I really wish we had got a "The Scourge Strike Back" moment.
@tomosjackson4760 You raise an excellent point - and, as a Scourge player, I want to see to see the Triumvirate lose some ground!

@@The.Game.Cave. I'm more of a filthy UCM player,(although I do have a large Scourge and smaller Resistance and PHR armies too) but I find even then that it undercuts humanities success if the narrative doesn't properly display their enemies threat.
