Mino Raiola: Why Players Love Him & Clubs Can’t Stand Football’s Controversial Super Agent
Football agent Mino Raiola famously clashed with Sir Alex Ferguson back in 2012, leading to Paul Pogba leaving Manchester United for Juventus, only to return in 2016. The transfer is considered controversial due to the massive fee that Mino Raiola collected - as discussed by Football Leaks - with these large fees being a trademark of Raiola’s. After representing players like Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Mario Balotelli, Gigi Donnarumma, Paul Pogba, and more, this Mino Raiola Bio will look at his early life in Haarlem, all the way to becoming the biggest super agent in football.

As a football fan, I hate "super agents" like him. Inflating player transfers.
As a business man, I respect the hustle.
True he is a killer. If you hire him as a agent you get a guarantee that the clubs wont lowball you. Dont forget that the devil is in the details and a contract isnt just a salary but it will have loads of clauses, things that Raiola works with every day. I cant imagine some players comming in with their father as a agent, thats a guarantee for being lowballed by a club. You should get Raiola as a agent when you want to get to the best CLUBS , you shouldnt hire him if you want to a SPECIFIC club.
Same here
His job is to make sure the players don't get paid less than their market value. He does his job well
Yeh good job copy pasting this comment from tifo football
Ey congrats on stealing someone else's comment
Jesus. He brought a McDonalds at 19? incredible. 😱
That explains how he let himself go. 😅
In haarlem. Lucky rich italian kid in a big town that has no McDonalds. Gotta get lucky
His family made the fortune he just made it bigger it’s good but you have 60 steps ahead of you already have the money
bitchimsexyy 666🤣😂
bitchimsexyy 666 as the son of a successful business owner, yes it of course it is easier IF you’re helped by your family’s success, but I’m sure his father made him work his ass off brick by brick until he felt his son was ready to branch out on his own and be successful without him as it should be
@@averageconsumer3571 what business did your father succeed in? And what have you created?
He’s a businessman - his aim is to make money for his business and himself. He only cares about his players because his income depends on it. That should’ve been the focus of your video - his love for his players is secondary
completely agree, I was surprised by how much praise he got here, his so called "care' is just extreme greed
Arianna respect the hustle
The same way your local ma and pa coffee shop provided extra care and attention to that of a Tim Hortons. To keep the client happy. You can't say that the love I'd secondary it's interwoven into his business model
Praise for his come up and how he treats his clients - which all of them have attested to, and why he has some of the biggest names under his belt (must be a pretty big belt at that). They all see him as family. If he didn't care for them, his business would suffer. Now, do I respect how he tiptoes around regulations and has made dodgy deals? Nope! But how he got into this position in the first place is impressive.
Rabona TV I agree that his journey is impressive and his aptitude has to be praised.
I just feel that Raiola’s clients love him so much because he makes them feel like they are his priority, which they are because his business depends on it. In essence, I don’t think his ‘care’ for players is unique or special I.e. all agents do this to varying degrees. But Raiola ONLY treats his clients so well because he wants to maximise his profit. That’s clearly shown by his strategy with top players I.e. maximising the clubs they play for to maximise his earning potential. For example, he had the opportunity to move Pogba to Madrid from Juve - but he took the longer route through Man Utd because he would receive two large payouts (from his transfer to United and his inevitable transfer to Real Madrid). He is doing the same now with De Ligt. To do this, he destroys the players relationship with clubs and potentially ruins dressing rooms. He does this all to maximise his profit, NOT to protect the interest of his players - he simply makes them feel like it’s protecting their interests.
It’s a business so I praise his acumen BUT I don’t think your video captured his selfish side
He looks like Peter Griffin xD
With the ball's chin to boot.
Shut up, Meg.
What a bad time to have the top comment... oof lol

Gareth Bale should hire this guy!
Bale was stealing a living at Madrid for how many years he is perfectly fine with the agent he has
Adrian should start podcast on football with tifo football. Not sure what he would do write ideas in the replys. Like so Adrian sees
if he wanted his players to succeed so much then they wouldnt constantly transfer. He only wants his clients to transfer so that he can earn his millions.
Which is a very clever way to make money, show some respect
@@jujushay4872 well then he's not a very good agent if his players are constantly transferring clubs, it's all about him and how much meat he can fit into that giant belly.

He's a better agent than Mino Raiola 💯 but I respect Raiola hustle
A lot of his player has big ego, As he himself also has big ego and encourage all his player to be like him. Hope he stay away from the club i support

Keep up the good work. Respect from Jamaica.
Another really good video. I certainly enjoy them. First came to your channel for one of your Champions League / Europa League prediction videos earlier this year, and haven't looked back
A Very Insightful video. I definately see Riola in a different way now :)
I have worked with agents for a while. Smart agents don't burn bridges with clubs, because other clubs find out and that then affects your players options. If an agent pushes a player too hard over the club, while also just straight trying to get loads of money for himself, he forces ruining the balance of wages and relationships between all players at the club thus risking the harmony and performance at the club itself. This goes against all the managers/DOF/staff plans and work to develop the club just to service one player in the team, this is totally against the concept of a team, which most agents understand and try to operate within that system. He has no players at Barca/City/Real Madrid (apart from the 3rd gk) and any other team in the premier league, which I think is more telling than the odd italian or ajax player who has joined him over the years. Fergie offered him a record contract for a teenager at united (maybe the world) and he turned it down. All this was still while Giggs, Scholes, Carrick, Rooney, De Gea, Rio, Vidic, Evra and Berba were all at the club, so how do you think they would have reacted to a kid getting paid so much after a handful of pretty woeful performances, ALL OF WHICH I WATCHED, while really wanting Pogba to succeed and be our new Ronaldo. To trash a club because they won't give you a huge signing on fee, when all you really want is to get another chunk of a transfer fee somewhere else, is pathetic and transparent af.
I really have to tell that I enjoyed your text mate, could we maybe get in contact in some how? Would really appreciate to get some kind of contact with you. You seem like a wise man!
Kind regards 😄✌️
Ur channel is so sick keep it up dude👍
You left out how he moved into sports. He started at a Dutch field hockey club Pinoke, arranging sponsor contracts. That's how he started with sportd
Rabona how can I get the soundtrack on the background of this particular video?
FIFA should put a cap on agent fees. These guys are destroying football. Just look at the crazy commission amounts they ask from clubs. Cap agent fees at 1% of the total transfer fees.
That is beyond stupid
If an Agent gets 1% of the total fee then the Agent will demand more for the player holding clubs to ransom worse than they do already. Football is a shady business and corrupt to its core. But i agree something needs to be done.
Nitish It should be an absolute cap, like a million dollars or such.
There needs to be a movie about him. how does he makes the best deals for his client? Man I have huge respect for that guy,no matter how bad that guy is, He always gets the best for his clients
Love your channel bromigo...
Appreciate your work. Please make a video on Leroy Sane transfer saga if it goes through.
Barca have seen the last of him no more players who's agent is Riola are in the club. Xavi Simions is the last one.
It's fair enough that the loss of Xavi Simmons be the last straw as that was a diabolical move that justifies him being blacklisted at Barca.
Good
That kid is just 2 years older than me and he's not interested in 220 grand a year. I'm sure when he's 25 he's gonna demand at least a 600-700K a week.
Wonderful video! Although Lukaku went to Roc Nation/CAA with JAY-Z which got him his boot deal with Puma.
kindly do a video on Mino Rioala's transfer for Pogba to Man u that was controversial. Keep up with the great work fam.
Hi Adrian could you put your sources in the description if possible?
Top quality subject and coverage as usual, very interesting. I cant help but not like this bloke, call me cynical but I think there might be one thing he puts ahead of players interests, his own profit. I know it's his job but it still leaves a bad taste in the mouth
Cool! Now I wanna know about Jorge Mendes as well...
YES TO 30 MINUTE SPECIALS!!!!
Gotta love Mino. He gets his players what they want. All these people criticizing Mino just gets their opinions from media, which they swallow. I understand you don't like him because your club's player transfers to another team.
Half of the people who don't like Mino are Barcelona fans because de Light didn't join them and Simmons left them.
Understandable. :D
Wow incredible absolute respect as a business man .. Just hope your club don't want his players because your gonna have to pay him a hell a millions !!!!
RIP Mino
Great vid
Cheers Juan!
I love him as an agent and businessman. He has a heart and cares for the players, he defends their honor and defends their dollar against these huge clubs that will chew them up and spit them out as if they are nothing.

Mino plays chess not checkers. You never hear no bad things from players, it's always delusional Pundits & greedy club owners & ego maniacal managers that don't like him.. Best agent by far
Dude is a god. Love people who hustle and show loyalty to their clients like this dude.
ApparentlyEric Dude's loyalty is money, not his players.

Of course a pimp needs to be loyal to his bitches, they're his main source of incomes..

That was definitely the wrong 'a' sound in "twat" 😂

RIP 2 The GOAT
Can you talk about what happened to the rest of AFCON
Roots of the rivalry - Schalke 04 vs Dortmund (Ruhr Derby )
By player's interest you mean financial interest or sporting interest? He works hard to get his players big contracts, but can't deny that his players moving from club to club is his main interest. No surprise Zlatan, his most famous client is among the record braking players in terms of different clubs he played for. You could argue that he and many more of those clients have still had amazing careers, but can you say that every move they made was good and they would not benefit more by staying at one place longer. I want to point out one specific move as the biggest example of money move. Pogba left Juventus for Manchester United. He had huge role in Juventus and the team was great, made UCL final. United was struggling, but they'd pay 100 millions and Railoa would get tasty chunk of it. Who am I to judge people for wanting to make more money(I mean both Raiola and player), but "the best of player's interest" can definitely be understood in different ways.
The release clause of de ligt being negotiated to low. Hugely signifies it.
De ligt will never be a Juventus legend. He will soon start to move around the time a large club offered more money to riaola.
Pogba was happy at Juventus. But riaola convinced him that his boyhood club will do him greater good. And see what happened. Pogba had a chance to be great but riaola for his own profit thrown him side by side.
The Pogba move is only bad in hindsight. Same with Mkhitaryan to United. Zlatan would be Zlatan wherever he went. Balotelli would probably be in Turkey if he had another agent. All of the moves he's engineered (off the top of my head) made sense, both financially and football wise
In short
He is best for making $$$ for his players but not so much for there career in general.
He can get u good salary
But he isn't the favourable option for your career in general.
2 Biography vids in one week?
Nani?
Great video dad always wanted to know this guys deal
Thanks son.
Just a day after this video Mino was responsible for the transfer of Xavi Simons to psg
Can you do a video or Jorge Mendes?
Hi, maybe you can make a video explaining why the French league considered has one of the 5 top leagues in Europe. They don't produce any team that really do well (except for mega rich PSG) in European competitions, teams in Portugal are more consistent than the french teams in European competitions but the Portuguese league is considered weaker. Makes no sense to me??????
I think overall the French league is a bit stronger. Or maybe the smaller teams produce better talent. The big Portuguese players always come from Sporting, Benfica and Porto. While a random French team like Rennes can produce a superstar
French league is better than the Portuguese league loool
the coefficient places france over portugal, its calculated by results in europe so french clubs do better in europe than portuguese clubs
@@unlockedaccount look back ten years and see if that is true. I disagree
Mino is simple, a business man that wants to make the most money from players, if anyone is to blame is the players that hire him he doesn’t hire himself lol
I don't have a problem lauding one's clients. Raiola, though? He lauds them as soon as they sign extensions and the like and powers transfers through even when the team isn't a fit for the player's talents.
You're claiming raiola only cares for his players, but every time I hear about mino not agreeing to the terms is because he wants a bigger payday than lost agents, so why would clubs want to pay an agent more than the usual foh and not only that every time theres a "future soccer star" coming out the name raiola is magically involved makes me wonder how the hell is he involved so quick, I'm pretty sure hes doing some illegal shit to get to the young players
The way you pronounced “twat” 😂😂😂
well, for me it's 50-50, but you know, you never know the detail of what he did, so yeah, i am gonna just sit and watch how the transfer windows magic give me surprise
People blaming agents , but if the money isn’t spent of agents and players. The Football owners are the one who will take the profit for their own benefits as well. Like Arsenal Stan Kroenke
man Rip Mino Raiola such a great agent
as a juventus fan, bloody love what mino does for us

Brian Mujati. Oh what ever happened to him??
He shat himself when utd cut him off and wen for halland.. although the deal din happen, he definitely got the message, clubs are willing to cut him and talk to his players.. pissed him off, coz he knows today or tomorrow someone is gng to pull off one and his reputation will take such a knock,, all the agents will start blaming him for clubs doing business directly with players.. after that he shut his mouth and now wants to extend pogba's stay..
Delight damsels, aggregate currency
Best for his client... financially not as a football player. I can't see even a single player who is a club legend or a great respected player. Even a player like Zlatan is more often not considered when talking about top 10 players or jst respected players
He doesn’t give a shit about the player lol he just wants to drive that price right up. Look at pogba he got the bag but he’s unhappy. I hope the same doesn’t happen to de ligt given how “money-hungry” his transfer seemed
You cant be more wrong
Of course he's motivated by money, but his players would tell you differently from what you wrote. If there's going to be money involved, they let him handle that, and he maximizes the profit like any businessman would while also protecting their interests. Zlatan attributes much his success to him thanks to the conversation that I spoke of in this video.
@@RabonaTV tru that but we've all seen the way he pisses teams off. dude's a true businessman
And Pogba wanted the move to United, that's why it happened. So to be fair, Pogba's now unhappy because of his relationship souring with Mourinho and after with some of the fans, not because of Raiola.
Почему думайте что его погба а не другой
He doesn't care about his players as you described, he's simply greedy. There's a massive difference
Brow they can talk all they want but i would want an agent who would work for my interest all the time regardless of clubs and managers the clubs will remain long before me as a player is likely broke or dead broke , as manager and club president i would hate him as player i would fucking love him if makes money of me dont care as long he is protecting and doing things right by me ... He has a contract that stipulates a easier way to the first team than at Barça
At that early in your career you're gonna want the best contract you can get and he will get as much playing time at PSG as he would've at Barca. There's nothing wrong with that deal it's just that people have bias towards Barcelona. If the club thinks he's so good they should meet his demands. It's the same situation as Pogba and Man Utd.

"dont hate the playa, hate the game"
His job is to get the best deal for his client and I can respect that, even if it goes against my club.
That is his job, to give his players what they want not what the clubs want. Alternatively, the clubs' negotiators job is to do that for them too (and will stomp any players they do not want or like in deals).
I agree completely his job is to get the maximum for his clients and the clubs job is to get the best deal for the club. If you want to a specific club you cant hire him, but if you want to the biggest CLUBS he will get you the best deal. You cant fool Raiola, also dont forget that the devil is in the details.
