This message is for Jeff Dolan. Hi Jeff....I am in my early 50s, but I can tell you I have been a huge fan of Ray Conniff, the orchestra and singers since I was 7 and we lived in Chicago. The Memories are Made of This LP is in my Top Ten Hall of Fame I can't do without. Reason being my Dad was a big fan of beautiful music and he had me with him when he would spin LPs downstairs. I could go on for an hour about how what made listening to RC such a great experience especially on the Tandberg stereo system I have with a Sota Star Sapphire turntable and SME 309 arm. Can I tell you something, I post a lot of messages here and I see the same thoughts from folks all over as I have. Marketing is my backround. There is a SURE and growing market in America, Canada, Mexico and South and Central America that is dissatisfied with today's urban guerilla ghetto music and wants great melodies, pretty, sweet, loving music to listen to when they come home. For us owning our own businesses and everyone in the middle class, stress hasn't been any worse for all of us......true everyone? Young people have no gentle, kind, nuturing music to grow a romance with today. But what is encouraging to me is seeing young folks even 12 to 15 years old post what a beautiful voice Judith Durham of the Seekers or Beverly Bivens of We Five had and where is this type of music today. We know pretty music warms the heart and even young folks are prone to a beautiful melody ie. " Theme from Titanic" The tragedy of the event is difficult to handle putting yourself in the passengers positions but the haunting ,beautiful, melody and lyrics go right to your soul. The song is stapled to the horror of the tragedy but the thought when you walk out of the theater is maybe I should treat her/him in a more loving fashion, what if I lost you like this. No wonder there is violence, hate, crime between men and women when music's lyrics are evil, yes evil, profane, banal and disrespectful of women I understand Rays path of taking the days pop music whether it be American, Latin, or Germany re arranging it, putting the HUGE sound you folks had and blending the orchestra and chorus to make beautiful sounds. It worked like magic for decades and it will work the same today. There is no EASY LISTENING music for us anymore. Jeff, the demand is out here. I know quite a few years have passed......Please pass my message to Vera. We might still have time to turn our country around thru beautiful music. It would be the Domino Theory, there would be a quick movement to Easy Listening music You Tube wouldn't be as successful if it weren't true Let's all make it happen.....BRING BACK THE RAY CONNIFF SINGERS AND ORCHESTRA
That would be great to let Mrs. Conniff know how much his fans would love to continue listening to his orchestra and singers. Thank you for your prompt answer.
Question to MrJeffdollan: WHY don't you reunite with all other singers/musicians to continue Conniff's work? It'd be a kind of Ray Conniff's tribute orchestra! Don't tell me you all have forgotten to sing & play the way you did as Conniff was alive... GILBERTO SAUGEN--from BRAZIL
Ray Conniff, I've never know much about the artist himself, that's a concert he's doing? His music is from the '50s and '60s and he's still around? All I know is I have always loved his music, he's one of my favorites. I have a couple of his Christmas albums on CD.
I have never heard so much rubbish as the comment Ray Conniff never had a orchestra of his own.Lots of his band and singers had long tenures with him. Please explain what you mean? I do not wish to offend, but I have seen the band from 1960 to late 1970,and one of the things was maintaining consistancy.Ray always looked after his singers and band when on tour.Billy Wizz43.Liverpool.England.

@gsaugen II think Ray Conniff never had an orchestra of his own, when he gave a concert or record a Record he just gathered the musicians an played .
Essa música do Zezé é poderosa
Ele atende ao telefone no meio da música? (0:45)
What has happened to Ray Connif's band & singers after he passed away? Anyone can tell me? GILBERTO SAUGEN, from Brazil
