Of all the creators, we know imperatur is going come in clutch with all this amazing network building ❤ so much easier now not having to flood with sewage first 😂
@@FaCkEmOuTno, road building is still way better than vanilla cs1… if youve tried making a smooth off ramp in vanilla cs1 vs cs2, you would see how much easier it is in cs2. definitely gonna need a mod like move it so i can adjust elevations of nodes and segments after placement tho
Road tools are quite a let down in CS2. When the ground is uneven your elevation changes all the time when you move the mouse, plus when you elevate up or down the x and y positions jumps around. Tunnel entrances usually look terrible or they are completely glitched.
Dude, thank you for this tutorial, please give us more. I love this so much and it was so easy for me to do. I’ve never made such a beautiful looking highway ever in city skylines. So happy I tried this.
Its so f*cking creative how people like you are given a few options and go outside the streamline giving them an extra turn to its uses and end developing such artfull structures like this one.
Cannot wait for more. These were what I was waiting for. And they are finally here!!! I request a diverging diamond system interchange and a single point service interchange.
Actually amazing dude. Can't wait to see what you create as time goes on. Even when I'm not playing I always click, if nothing else to feel inferior 😂 Love to see you take a crack at some cool transport hubs and designs! Cheers as always my guy
I'm loving this video😍 Really easy to understand with a really cool and good looking result. I'm also loving the songs you used. My favorite is "Bother me" by Hallman!
Great video. Just ignore all the winning children and their comments really appreciate your videos. CS2 is an excellent game and is only going to get better.
Nice, now I want to see a sunken highway with maxed lanes, full of overpass, in the middle of the city with high density of traffic, I remember there's a video on UA-cam, someone used the old mods to do smooth angles, overpass, now it's a lot easier on CS2, I forgot the name, but it's a highway with lots of lanes, and overpass or lanes doing everywhere, this could be satisfying to see 😊
Exactly what i was planning on doing, and this time it's a bit easier than with CS1. And better looking. Can't wait for a TMPE mod though, still some improvements to be had.
I'm just gonna wait until we can have more control over the cut and fill and be able to force elevations. Too frustrating. Definitely appreciate this tutorial though. You made it look so easy.
Looks like the signalling needs some work. When coming off the ramp, the parallel road also gets green at the same time and it causes conflict and congestion in dense areas. I wouldn't probably use this through a high density downtown.
This would work to simulate a downtown highway near me, but an end that’s tricky would be where a subway line goes above ground and down the middle of the highway. Don’t think skylines gives options to make those connection styles.
I like this, but it does indicate that the road tool, although still an improvement compared to Vanilla CS1, falls short. It should not be such a convoluted process to build a relatively simple sunken highway. That has been my main gripe with CS as a series. It's all very convoluted and hardly streamlined.
i wonder if we can build actual underground parking garages that fit under any building, or will it be just a building that sores cars under ground level...
Does having a sunken highway do anything for noise pollution or is it purely aesthetics. I'm asking because I just got this game as my introduction to a city builder. Was curious if its a feature or not. If you mentioned it in the video I'm sorry, I must have missed that part. BTW we have a highway just like this by my house and I always thought it was cool especially when the shrubbery grows in during the seasons.
@imperatur Is 8 m depth the minimum possible depth or would e.g. 6 m depth also work so that the bridges can run over them and the ascents and descents still fit into the respective areas (cells between the crossings)?
Can you do something similar with the concrete paths and turn them into quays? I found that also works like the streets so you don't have to always use streets. It doesn't have to be a highway, See if you can do one near the water to make it look like a waterside quay.
The game does allow you to add sound barriers to the sides of highways, I'm however unsure if there's enough clearance between the two highway for said sound barrier to fit. But if there is enough clearance, then there you go.
How did u do the 5 lane roads from the 6 lane bridges, I see its 3 lanes to turn then 3 lanes again on the other side to turn but its 2 lane going into it. I cant figure that out.
Sunken highway is a good concept but it doesn't work great in a 50 K + city. In the context of a city populated by less than 25,000 citizens sunken highway remains still effective, but beyond 25 K population your cims will use the same exit off-ramps and your highway will be totally saturated quickly on the 3 ways, and you will have to completely rethink the highway exits to access your city downtown. If you have an accident in the off ramps it's a nightmare. Cims are quite stupid, they all want to take the shortest road, and they all pass at the same place at the same time.
Love your content, I've learnt a lot with your videos. Is there any way when we place a road at the seaside that we can only see the road concrete? In some parts, land stays there and I can't remove it...
I think there is a cool trick you can do here. The same principle that he did with the one way surface roads can be done with the concrete path. This ends up like a concrete quay.
Agreed. Quays should also be separate like in the first game to allow for self-made walls, and implement anarchy on it as well to allow sunken highways without relying on roads.
Of all the creators, we know imperatur is going come in clutch with all this amazing network building ❤ so much easier now not having to flood with sewage first 😂
real
Still he's going to flood somewhere somehow for a good reason 😆
Would like proper walls, not these streets "missused"
Hahah true, i will miss the poop flooding🫠😂
@@imperaturdo you need to miss it though? I know it was the trick for quay walls, but nothing stopping you working it in a guide for old times sake 😅
Trying to do these myself on vanilla CS2 makes me realize how much I've taken for granted all the road building mods in CS1 lol
Or Developers do nothing and dont take this in new Game. Feel pain , pay more.
Having to relearn everything has been really tricky, especially getting roads to look nice

When the ground is uneven your elevation changes all the time when you move the mouse, plus when you elevate up or down the x and y positions jumps around.

I find this much more fun, more realistic to build.
2 days in and we’re already looking at proper tutorials from one of Cities skylines’ biggest creators👍👍👍
Dude, thank you for this tutorial, please give us more. I love this so much and it was so easy for me to do. I’ve never made such a beautiful looking highway ever in city skylines. So happy I tried this.

Game is not even a week old and he's already mastered the game and giving tutorials, nice.
Cannot wait for more. These were what I was waiting for. And they are finally here!!!
I request a diverging diamond system interchange and a single point service interchange.
Thank you so much, it worked flawlessly! Can't wait to see what you come up with next
Have you already built it?:)
@@imperatur Yes, it works like a charm and I think I also got a better grasp of the road tools after following your instructions
I’m so jealous of you imperature, I have to wait until spring of 2024 to play this game.
It is rather dumb. I was so sad when I found out. I was ready to install it the other day.
isn't is already available on pc steam
@@K-SHABAB I play on console
@@DisneyForceTV oh ok my bad❤️
@@DisneyForceTV Bro is on suicide watch now...
upgrading the road so it has an acceleration lane, and matches perfectly into the road is a really good idea!
I did this. It took me so much time and the water became a problem. But the end result is great! Thank you!
very good tutorial!! it toke me more than 15-20 mins but cause im not that pro 🙃, but i love it! thanks very much!!

Just did this for my very first actual city. Hopefully the city works out. Took me a little while but Im getting better. Thank you!

Bro that's is remarkably genius work !
Thanks man I really appreciate it
Took me like 40mins but i finally got it, works awesome thanks!
this is one of the things I was most looking forward to in CS2
I was waiting for the GREAT tutorials on Cities Skylines 2

Finaly the lagendary serie start😭😭❤️❤️❤️🤝👑
a texas style freeway with frontage road access. Just need the Texas U-turns and businesses plopped on the side.
I knew it wouldn't be long, keep the content coming
Another masterpiece! Hail the Imperatur!
Exactly what i was planning on doing, and this time it's a bit easier than with CS1. And better looking.

Loving the content my man, keep it up.
Waiting for cs 1 vanilla series it's best ever city in yt... Ilove it.. iam huge of yours....
thanks, i will copy this for sure, you are the best in this game
Not surprising to see Imperatur out of the gate two days after release: Legend.
Thank you for your tutorials! I am looking forward for more
This man built any Midwest city freeway. Didn’t know CS2 could do thst
So clean. So beautiful. ❤
the classic wide freeway going through the city
This is what I looking for, Thanks!
i did it, it's pretty cool perhaps some optimization but thank you very much
Really hope we get a copy/paste and save template feature soon
That looks really cool, I would like to see it with more traffic running though it and see how it fairs though.
I'm just gonna wait until we can have more control over the cut and fill and be able to force elevations. Too frustrating. Definitely appreciate this tutorial though. You made it look so easy.
f...master, you are genius. More intersections from you :)
I can't believe we're back to "how to build basic* thing in CS" kind of tutorial again, it's been a hell of a ride.
*with mods obviously
Holy Moly amazing job
nice one! Great work.
Man the new road tools are INCREDIBLE. The difference between CS 1 and 2 is night and day.
i cant believe im playing vanilla when i build roads in this game
Genius, thanks for sharing
More CS2 tutorials please!? I tried to build a highly with a sunken railway earlier but it was rubbish 😢😅
It looks perfect, ill try to build this highway in my city
We definitely need the Road Fine Tool. Hope they'd come up with nice news about mods.
Great video thanks
Its a great design! However, it can create serious traffic with those crossroads.
simply lovely😄
Good job 👍
Looks like the signalling needs some work. When coming off the ramp, the parallel road also gets green at the same time and it causes conflict and congestion in dense areas. I wouldn't probably use this through a high density downtown.
We definitely need an easier way to do this lol, like just a dedicated quay road with ground on one side
Great build!
Eres el mejor man, saludos desde España
Te amo Sr Imperatur :* (besito en la frente)
I just can’t wait to see what people can do with mods
Couldnt you use the two road side by side tool, and set the elevation to that position that is just before a tunnel, I.E making it a trench?
This would work to simulate a downtown highway near me, but an end that’s tricky would be where a subway line goes above ground and down the middle of the highway.
Don’t think skylines gives options to make those connection styles.
Give it some time. When assets and mod support are official in the game. We will have more of a variety of stations to choose from
This is so perfect
i am going to be using this !!
Wouldn´t it make more sense just use the parralel road tool, increase the distance to what ever needed and just draw two parallel roads?
Looks exactly like berlin stadtautobahn :D
Nice, i will download on the workshop now! , ups damm
Gerne mehr!

Does sunken highways help reduce noise pollution?
This game is such an improvement
My PC doesn't think so...
mouse sensivity? dpi? i was argue a things xD good job :)
Unfortunately there's no Toll Gate or Toll Booth in CS2. I always use them in CS1 because in my country all the highways are Toll Roads.
okeee let's gooo... awesome
Will be fun once we can Do DDI's or DLT interchanges
What is sound pollution like? Does it work as a natural highway barrier?
i wonder if we can build actual underground parking garages that fit under any building, or will it be just a building that sores cars under ground level...

anyone else having issues w a support pillar being made on the bridge when youre building ramps? :(
@imperatur
Is 8 m depth the minimum possible depth or would e.g. 6 m depth also work so that the bridges can run over them and the ascents and descents still fit into the respective areas (cells between the crossings)?
My only suggestion is to make it 144m by 80m then you can do a highway with a space of 1 and the ramps are not such a tight fit.
Please, this exact tutorial but dock/port by water. Making both inward and outward turns as I've found them to behave differently.😩
That is awesome
Thank God we have mods for this, now! 😅

How do you make sure both highways are equally spaced from the walls?
It would be spectacular if someone make a Koyaanisqatsi-styled video using Cities Skylines II.
Nice !!
How to easily build queys with roads along a curvy river/shore
Can you show how to build a 3-way and 4-way intersections?
Does this also work in CS1, wanted to build one last city before I switch

Very interesting, but not sure how much traffic it could handle.
Every time I right click it does nothing? Am I missing something?
