I'm really curious as to why Audiopipe never mentions the size of the spiders on the high performance subwoofer models. Instead of bringing attention to the obvious, like the carbon fiber dust cap, and the amount of motor slugs, let's get down into what the subwoofers are really comprised of in terms of soft parts! I know for sure the BDV & BDX both utilize a new basket design, as well as "new to Audiopipe" black high temp BASV coils with a taller wind height which is definitely a plus. Again, I'm curious to know what size the spiders are on these newer model subs and how many spiders are used in the pack on each subwoofer, BDV & BDX. Looking at the new basket designs the spider suspension looks to be larger than before, but if you can get some measurements that'll be great. If I'm not mistaken, the older BD models 10/12/15" subwoofers utilized a 8-in spider or maybe 8.5" spider Max, which heavily limited the cones travel capabilities and I totally understand this because the coils that were used at this time on the older models utilized a shorter voicecoil as well.
Both these subs are absolute beasts.
Which out of the 2 subs is the best in 12" ?
What Amp would you recommend to push 2 TXX-BDX-12D2?
My BDC 8 slaps! 🔥🔥🔥
The tensil leads on my bdc4 txx 6.5 keep breaking
I have a BDX. I LOVE IT!!! it takes the little abuse that I give it
I’m trying to decide by the two right now
BDX
Can I use a Taramps smart 5 on this subwoofer?
as long as you match the proper impedance configuration of the outpower, yes

@@ThatsMrMarknot sure he didn’t say anything in the video besides the weight of the speaker
I would stick with the bdc5. They play lower than the bdx. Just take a look at the specs.
