I have been following the story on Manson since it started, I have been a die hard Manson fan since I was 13 . Manson has always been a comfort for me, we all go through things in life but I can Identify with what Manson has to say on an extreme level. I am an artist myself so I wrote this song in appreciation and defense of Marilyn Manson. I hope one day he hears it. ua-cam.com/video/_jIdfBAqCy8/v-deo.html

When I met Manson I was seventeen years old and he wouldn't kiss my cheek (I asked for a photo) and he declined because I was underage. He asked about my age. He was so respectful and laughed with me about the situation. He was humble. I don't believe these allegations at all!

My opinion of Howard isn’t a good one to say the least. I think he’s a pig who sadly has his own show and is able to in a way harasses his guests.
I remember watching an interview Howard did with Benicio Del Toro and he was basically harassing him about having a relationship with Emily Blunt, they had worked on the Wolfman from 2010 together, But she was engaged at the time to John Krasinski Yet he just kept insisting that Benicio had some sort of sexual relationship with her and Benicio had to keep repeating himself saying no they were just friends.
      Howard Stern should be canceled.

I met Manson in 2004 and my experience was similar in the sense that he was shy, sweet, and respectful. What surprised me the most about him was that he was also humble. Sometimes when you meet your idols, they can be a disappointment… but Manson did not disappoint. When we tell our experiences with him, people now say things like, “those experiences don’t matter, you’re all just trying to discredit his victims”. That seems really ridiculous to me. We have just as much right to tell our experiences and they just don’t like that it conflicts with their stories!

I think another basket of things people get upset about is that they want so badly for him to be the villain. Because it's his imagery. It's easy for them to make him the villain. Another thing i think they get upset with is that they know full well, they cannot, speak for positive expirences. But some people will try to say, " she was young, she probably didn't know he was doing it at the time." They know that they can't crusade for someone who knows they've had a generally positive expirence. Doesn't stop them from trying though. But U can't tell one person they didn't like ice cream, when they like ice cream. They know full well that the conflicting experiences don't add up. Or maybe they don't. Who knows. But a person who is sexually abusive is that way 90% of the time. Almost " everyone" Notices something off about someone when they meet them. Even teenagers. If there's so many conflicting experiences, then it automatically offers the question of weather or not, he did the things those women alleged that they he had done. And they don't like that. They'll see it as sexism if u question the very notion of the expirences that were " said" to have occurred. They remain that. Until proven other wise. And they just hate it.

I'm so grateful for your hard work on this story. I feel a little late to the game, but I'm here now!
I can tell you a SMALL, tiny story that you are welcome to share. I met Manson after a show in probably 1994 or so? The band was not well known, but had a small cult following around New York. I was definitely a "Spooky Kid"! All you had to do back then was just wait in the parking lot for them to go to their bus. When they came out, Twiggy & Manson were the ones to come chat with us for maybe an hour or so? It was incredible. I was about 16 or 17 having a great conversation with someone I admired. We spoke about working with Trent Reznor, the broader message of their work, the symbology in the music, etc. Manson seemed attentive, kind, NOT creepy in any way (lol). I was a young girl & felt like I was talking to a respectful male friend.
For years, I came to MM's defense when he was called the devil, a sadist, etc. When you listen to his music coming from an intellectual/metaphorical perspective, there are some strong social messages there. Sadly, I just stopped listening to the music & didn't even know the extent of the accusations. I've been going through personal difficulties & so it just wasn't fully on my radar, until.... you guessed it, Johnny Depp.
I have a couple of other bizarre stories from being at a bunch of shows back then, but I don't do social media (lol). I really admire what you are doing & felt compelled to help in any small way I could.
    From,
    Kathie

I was a die-hard fan in middle school and still likes he music, so I'm not looking to assassinate his character. But the comments reek of people who want to keep their ideals of him in their heads untarnished. He's a horrible alcoholic, I think even by his own admission. That could have also inhibited his best judgment and even altered his personality, if it's any consolation.

I remember when Howard Stern's show started to be broadcast in Portugal - I'm Portuguese so excuse me for my faulty English - I was totally disgusted by Howard and Robin's comments towards several guests. I just watched 2 or 3 episodes and decided "Nahh, not my cup of tea". On the other side of the spectrum, all interviews I saw of MM were very intelligent and sweet. He really seems like a very nice guy and I remember a particular interview of him talking about his father's death that made me cry like a baby cuz I had just lost my dad. I know I'm not adding anything new to the topic... except that - maybe because English is not my first language - I tend to pay particular attention to the way sentences are written and when I read ERW talking about "grooming" I thought that was sooo strange... she wasn't a child, she was a young adult. I was baffled when I first heard about the accusations because MM always looked and sounded so gentle but that "grooming" remark made me pause and think that something wasn't quite adding up. Sorry about the rambling... :) Love to all

    • @jen30551
      @jen30551 2 роки тому +1

I loved hearing your perspective! Not sure how you feel about English not being your first language but from what I have observed so far, you express yourself very well.
I also have issues with ERW's claims as well. I feel no obligation to believe her simply because she is a woman. As a strong, independent woman, I find the very premise to be offensive and regressive. Watching her interviews, she is arrogant and seems to see herself as being above reproach. At 18, we are certainly still malleable and succeptible to the influence of older people, especially those we find admire...but to say that it was grooming is convenient in this case. She clearly had an interest in the aesthetic that MM portrayed and saw herself as a provacateur in her own right. She pursued him knowing he was not your average guy. We don't, because we are women, get to look back at things we now regret and call it rape or abuse. That is truly reprehensible and criminal if that is what she is doing.
As for MM, I've never really known what to make of him. My first observation of him was when he opened for NIN in '94 and he said some pretty vulgar stuff about 14 year girls. Ultimately, it seemed he was goading the audience, pushing for a reaction which he promptly got. That show was intense. I later read his autobiography and watched many of his interviews. He is clearly intelligent and introspective. I have a hard time believing much of what he's being accused of but try to remain open minded about it as the case winds itself through court. We shall see what, if any evidence exists from his accusers and the results of LAPDs investigation. If he is not guilty, my heart goes out to him. The stain of accusations cannot be washed away, ever.

I noticed all the bad stories/lawsuits about Manson center around a group of friends who knew him from 2006 to 2011. He's over 50 years old, with a 25 year old career, and it's just this group of friends who knew him for those 5 years. So either he was off his nut for those years, or they're lying, or both. I fully agree with her saying she won’t believe a woman just because she’s a woman… I believe women should stick together, and we have so much more strength then we know, however, I don’t just side with a woman and believe everything she says bc we share a gender.
There’s way too much about there accusations that is sketchy at best, between the accusers and all the holes in their stories, and that they’re using the attention from this to attempt to further their “careers”… to go to People and attempt to claim she was “traumatized” bc Manson went to Sunday service, like come ON… the bs of all this is insane… Manson unfortunately is an easy target to people who don’t know much about him… it was only a matter of time, unfortunately, until this happened to him, just bc of his image, and the public at large who doesn’t know anything aside from the performance will buy into it. It’s ridiculous. I hope Manson is vindicated and walks away from this stronger, and releases an album and continues his amazing art.

Have you ever thought about doing some interviews with Manson fans, and having them talk about their experiences with the band, or their music and what it means to them, etc?
Growing up as a teen in the 90s I was really into Marilyn Manson. I remeber the first time I ever saw a picture of Marilyn Manson, it was in Spin magazine, a one page thing, a little sniplet of him talking about how he was afraid of the dark and would sleep with the lights on. I remember thinking about how artistically cool he looked. I was hooked after that. I got a very positive message from him and the band really over the years listening, going to concerts, magazine interviews, etc.., that it was ok to be yourself, to wear what you want, to look the way you want and I will be forever grateful for that as it still resonates with me today. When I was 17 I won tickets to see a show in NJ with backstage passes. After the show all the backstage pass holders got to go back to two seperate rooms. My encounter with the whole band was very pleasant, everyone was really sweet, kind, and respectful. Manson was very kind and shy. I never felt like I was in danger at 17 years old being backstage with them, I never felt scared, or like I was going to be taken advantage of, and looking back in hindsight, based on the few hours or so I got to spend with them, none of them striked me as predators or guys to be afraid of .. especially Manson nad Twiggy, both being accused of monstrous things. Over the years because of the internet I became friends with various members of Marilyn Manson and all of them are nothing like what you see on stage, and I feel like that is what people need to realise. On stage they are doing their jobs, entertaining... off stage most are just artists, living their lives like we are. Most of them are very quiet, shy, and awkward because of their shyness, atleast from my experience. I am thankful that in my teens that I discovered Marilyn Manson, as my experience has always been positive. It saddens me that all this is happening.

Of course it's been nearly two decades or so at this point but I remember very vividly she was young, seemed shy, timid, and Howard was still an asshole and creep back then before he became "woke" and Manson was very kind and did indeed stand up to Howard on her behalf. I remember clear as day and respected him for that as most celebs are sheep and he was intimidating so people went along with him when he was being a prick. I remember watching this episode of Howard Stern back in the day. I didn't realize that she didn't know Manson was engaged or that Manson had no idea she was going to be on the show. Sounds like something Howard would do to try and make it funny tho. Anyways he seemed the same way when I met him years after this show took place. So it doesn't seem like he has changed too much in the way that he's shy since then. And this is how he always seems from all the interviews I have watched which is awesome in my opinion. A lot of ppl change a lot when they become famous and not in a good way. So it makes sense to me also that he is good friends with JD who he is similar to in this way. And strange how both of their woman problems coincide. Coincidence? I think not. This was obviously a planned thing and an attempt to take them both down and take their money

Valentina, his innocence keeps being proven. Sadly though, the court of public opinion has already executed him. Nobody is interested in the truth anymore. Nobody is interested in right and wrong anymore. The #metoo movement as well as the LGBTQ community are against Manson and that's basically the end. The media won't go against either of those groups because it'd be suicide essentially. Kind of interesting how 2 groups built on a foundation of anti-bullying resort to bully tactics to get what they want. That oppressive behavior is going to blow up in their faces though and I'm counting the days.

You can pretend to be engaging and polite but you cant fake empathy and thats obvious empathy.... how cute... im 34 and have always adored Manson along with my 60 yr old mother. she would get so angry back in the late 90s early 2000s when the media was blaming him for everything bad that ever happened. She was just amazed at the fact that ppl couldn't see what she saw, an intelligent, respectful, sweet, empathetic, unique man who had gone through hell whilst being bullied as a child and used his pain for art, he took the bad and made it in to a positive. youd think in 2022 ppl would finally learn not to judge ppl on appearance alone but obviously they're just as ignorant now as they were then. Judge ppl on their actions not on their looks. The prettiest flowes are poisonous and the ugliest mold can save you from dying of an infection lol
