Nice video of that Allertor! It still sounds good.
I heard a hiccup
Might wanna get that rotator fixed
Interesting. This has the same hiccup that the one in my video at Elm School had when I recorded. As if they press the activation button twice.
I know! When I heard the "hiccup" I thought of the one on top of the school from your video. When will your 121 video be up?
Geez it almost sounds like attack for a second but it kicked right back up
I heard a hiccup. Not such a good sign.
I don't think the rotator will give away because this siren has a chain driven rotator, so maybe the chain is not well adjusted and if it gets adjusted it will stop moving soo much during the wind down
Can you record it again?
Looks to me like the spider in the lovejoy coupling is worn out. That can cause them to jerk during the rotation.
Elmwood Park Recreation Dept, 11 Conti Pkwy, Elmwood Park, IL 60707 Here is the exact location of it to put in google maps. Is this siren still active? I real,y want this to be my first recorded allertor.
Awesome! I have never heard an allertor in person before! This will be a cool experience!
Indeed, also noting that these sirens still have the civil defense logo on them, seeing them was quite a suprise.
It is nice to see that there are (remnants) of Civil Defense stickers left on the horns.
Yeah there's a P-10 about 8-10 miles south of this Allertor which has the Civil Defense sticker fully intact.
