Thank you! This fire is growing in leaps and bounds and we did end up evacuating on Friday. Luckily no structures lost at this time but the responders and evacuees can use all the prayers right now.

I use MOD podge, but I think I will buy some of this liquitex matte gel medium (I hope I heard correctly). Beautiful. Thank you for sharing.

I love the design of this page I really appreciate how you said you pushed through and in the end it is beautiful I was journaling and using new stencils and I skipped a big gap in one of the names of God it looks kind of off to me but I appreciated the whole thing in the end so thank you for your in Insight
Sometimes it just takes some extra paint splatters to help pull everything together and hide the mistakes ;)

Beautiful page!...Modge Podge is great for mixed media but beware if using in a bible or journal as it will dry but with a sticky feel and the pages stick together, the pages can be separated but really carefully or they may rip
Is that the same for the Matte Mod Podge? I just always reach for matte gel medium because I know it works and so I haven't tried anything else.

Thank you for doing this technique! I was one of those people that asked if you would try it. I knew you would give us a great tutorial for it. And let us know what to watch out for. Also on a funny side my nephew posted this picture of a fire near him and the picture looked so familiar to me like I'd seen it somewhere else. And you mentioned that you posted on your instagram and I remembered it was your picture. His picture looked there was a volcano near him! Crazy.

Your nephew lives here in Central Cali? The fire is absolutely crazy! We did end up evacuating Friday evening and have no idea when it'll be okay for us to get back into our house.
LindseyDecor yes my family lives in Bakersfield. In fact my family is planning a trip from Kentucky to California to visit family next month. Any stores or workshops to recommend?
+Alma Blinn Bakersfield is only a little over an hour from me! There aren’t really any workshops that happen regularly. Bakersfield does have a cute craft store, Beverly’s, that offers some products you don’t see in the big box stores. There is a LifeWay but they have a small Bible journaling selection.
Will be praying for the wild fires to stop in CA..along with the floods in TX, this is so overwhelming! Great verse and journaling however! God is the best anchor! He is our Saving Grace! Both my parents are with Hospice, I just had emergency Gall Bladder surgery...my Mother is in stage 6 of 7 with Alzheimer's Disease. It's so devastating to watch your Mothers mind be taken away and she slowly die...and there is nothing you can do.. My Dad has kidney, lung, and heart damage from Vasculitis and Heart disease. Nothing can be done at this point. The Vasculitis is in remission, not curable...and the heart disease as well is advanced. Both are home. I help with their care, along with other family members, Hospice, and 6 other people we've hired around the clock. Please keep us in your prayers too....

I also love Dina wakley Matt medium, but it's so much more expensive than liquitex.
Jade Stewart - I have some extras of some pretty ones. I can never use for art all the napkins that come in a pack. In my local chain grocery store, leaf and cornucopia ones are showing up. I tend to find the retry ones in the seasonal section of the grocery store. Maybe Target and party stores have ones.
I actually think I like the liquitex better for Bible journaling since it does have a little texture so it takes watercolor better than the Dina Wakely Matte Medium. The Dina Wakely one is good if you are wanting a super smooth finish.
The holiday season will be a great time to pick up napkins!

I agree, once I gave up on demanding perfection from my journaling I really started to enjoy it so much more.
Hi. I am new to Bible journaling and your video is the very first video I have seen on Bible journaling. I love watercolor so I was very pleased to see you can watercolor on your Bible page. Can you use clear gesso on the Bible page to do the same thing with the watercolor or should it be matte medium?
I get better results with the matte gel medium but I’ve done it with clear gesso in a pinch and it worked okay.
It's very beautiful. Quick question, can you use mediums like this in a regular bible, or do you need one that has thicker pages specifically for journaling?
You can do this in any Bible...these pages aren’t any thicker than a regular Bible.

It should work with a clear gesso that isn't gritty like Dina Wakely or Art Basics.
Love your page and all your videos. To make it easier to separate the plus, use two pieces of washi tape. Stick one to the front and one to the back and gently pull. Easy Peasy, the plys come apart. 💕💖💗❤️

Can you use liquid glue like gesso with the napkins I hadn't got gesso yet
You can try but it tends to be thicker/stickier so a little tricky to work with
@@LindseyDecor been having be on 💔 budget and trying start my passion for bible journaling...I moved passed just useing inspire bible and not be ashamed for my art work.... something I been struggling with is criticism over my on work.... started when my ex lost all my artwork from highschool and abuse I been in from my ex's my husband you see I'm my profile been my angel that supportive and wants me enjoy things I love again.... helping me with my bible study desk putting it all together... mostly been getting everything from dollar tree or dollar general Walmart or Amazon....since my husband lost his job been tight financially...I set budget for myself every pay day and I always wait till bible on sale get it and one day I'm wanting get the leather wrap bible with strap...I keep hearing from Holy Spirit he wants me do my Bible journaling....be at peace with my art...my adopted mom calls it spiritual art...
