he played 16 years in the modern day NFL, it is enviable that he's going to be top 10 in those categories, if you go, for example yards per game or TD's per game then he is average at best. Also a turnover machine. A HOF should at least be top 3 in the league at least once.
And by the time he's eligible for Hall of Fame he won't be top 10 in any of those. Besides the two superbowl runs in which a superbowl is a TEAM ACCOMPLISHMENT he was below average. But the Hall of Fame is a joke now so he'll get in just like how Kurt Warner got into the Hall of Fame with zero career accolades simply because he got to the superbowl with 2 different teams. Eli made the playoffs less than 50% of his career. He went 0-1 playoff, 4 times. Aikmen had 8 postseasons He won at least 1 game in 5 of those trips. Plus since 2010, Eli only made playoffs 1 time.
@@jsilva7005Troy Aikman had Emmitt Smith, Michael Irvin, both the best respectively at their positions at that time, and amongst the best in the history of the league. Accurate analysis of Eli. I will never forget the two playoff runs and Super Bowl wins. Coach Tom Coughlan and the Giants defense were fantastic. It is a team sport. Another good thing about Eli is his personality. He has been humble and not a braggart. Eli did good things for the New York Giants fans.
@Alex Rivas Not even close to trash. He had a number of other good seasons; 2014 and 2015, in particular, witnessed him throw a combined 65 TDs (good for 3rd in the league over that span) while leading Top 10 offenses despite no running game. The only reason they missed the playoffs was due to a putrid defense.
Eli Manning is a legend. He brought die hard Giant fans Glory twice but he also brought happiness when the team needed a hero and for that I love Eli Manning. He is the reason why a lot of people in NJ and NY wear the blue Jersey with pride :') .

Dorian Bernard big facts. Everybody says Philip rivers and Big Ben are sure fire hall of famers but their career stats are almost identical and rivers has 0 playoff success
Eli is a HOF’er. It hurts to say as a Pats fan, but he is. If Phillip Rivers is gonna get considered one day, Eli has to get in. You can’t say “If you take out the two historic runs” because by that same logic you can say “If you take out the 4 trips outside of the super bowl runs”. He and Big Ben have the same amount of rings and we all know that Big Ben got carried to his first ring too.
LycanVonWolf Plunkett was an average QB his entire career. He also doesn’t have the stat equivalent to his era that Eli does. Barely completed 60% of his passes and more INTs than TDs. That’s why he’s not in the HOF. Eli has great numbers on the surface, and he beat the GOAT twice in the big dance. He’s a HOF’er. Rivers is more a bubble guy but eventually he’ll get in as well
@Luis Mora nope he denied that years ago and stated right after Coughlin left to the Jags that he rather still retire as a Giant then to play for another team because he loves the people and culture of NY then mostly any state in America.

I’m not saying Eli is a HoFer or not, but how can these guys pretend the only thing on his “resume” is 2 Super Bowls when he’s top 10 all time in TDs, completions, and yards AND top 15 in 4th quarter combacks just above Joe Montana?
Top 10 in many qb categories, all time Giants qb, 8-4 playoff record, to go along with 2 of the most INCREDIBLE Super bowl runs in NFL history = HoFer period 🐐💯
Eli is first-ballot Hall of Famer. He was great for a few years and dogcrap for a few years but so were many hall of famers. Brett Favre at the end of his career stunk it up as did Payton Manning his last year when he won the SB with Denver. No disrespect to Favre and Manning as they are both unbelievable QB's. I am just highlighting that there is a drop off for every QB with the exception of Montanna, and of course Brady.
Have you looked where he has ranked on other passing stats? 6th all time passes completed 7th all time passing yards 8th passing touchdowns Only 45th all time passing rating but that's ahead of Roger Stabach, Steve McNair, and Troy Akman. He is 14th in interception but Peyton Manning, Bret Farve, Dan Marino, Jonny Unitas had more. 16th in average passing yards by game 13th on 4 quarter comebacks So no Eli wasn't the best QB but matched up against other Hall of Famers he beats a lot of them. Glad he is "done" but he had a better then average career even if the win/lose record doesn't show it.
Ty. And to this day has the beat post season in NFL history with yards n completions in a post season. 2011 when he carried the 31st ranked defense and 28th ranked rushing offense.

Not only 2 Super Bowl wins and 2 MVPs over a prime Tom Brady, but he's in the top 10 all time in several passing categories. So he doesn't belong, and Sonny Jurgenson and Joe Namath (more famous for his mouth than his play) belong? C'mon, man.
I agree Eli time is up, but I love how everyone just ignores that outside the Superbowls the man is top 10 all time in passing yds and TDs over Montana, Elway, and Moon. He is without a doubt a First ballot HOF.
The 2 super bows aside... what will always stand out to me more was watching him get destroyed in that San Francisco nfc championship, where at one point half of his shoulder pads were hanging out of his jersey and his chin strap was in his mouth, but yet he stayed completely cool. Dude will forever be my hero
Still has more rings than Brees and Rodgers. And unlike Ben, he wasn't carried to a super bowl win *cough* super bowl 40 *cough* and went 2-0 in the Super bowl.
Eli Manning - 2 SB wins, 2 SB MVPs, 0 games missed due to injury during his 16 seasons in the NFL. You can put up all the numbers you want but at the end of the day, Eli was a big factor in both SB wins and has been a major reason this team has been relevant for so long. Don't even sit there and tell me he isn't worthy of being a first-ballot HOF player. He's dealt with a revolving door of talent at the running back and wide receiver position. His offensive line has always been average, at best. He's had some amazing defenses too but he's also had some terrible ones (the last 2-3 years for example).
So ya saying the only positives of his career is 2 Super Bowl runs? The man is top 7 all time in passing yards and passing touchdowns. You don’t get all them numbers from being trash all of your career. This mans GM and owner half his career didn’t put any talent around him. Rivers had hall of famers like LT and Gates and Big Ben has Better Ward Burress Laveon Antonio Brown all their careers. Whenever Eli got some stars on offense he won it all. Give the man some credit.
Odb that man put up numbers with Odell and led the NFC east for years in offensive points. The defense could stop a nose bleed all them years do you know how much games in that span they lost in the last 2 minutes of the game??
They're just saying mostly the bad. Eli has 6playoff runs. Eli has 2 super bowl rings and 2 super bowl mvps(both over brady) Eli has 4 pro bowls Eli has the 2nd longest iron man streak for QBs in NFL history(soon to be 3rd once rivers catches him Eli has 12seasons of 20 or more TD passes( 3 30Td seasons) and more then 100td passes over INTs , with 362td 241ints.. Eli is 8th in NFL history in TD Passes total 362... Eli is 7th all-time in passing yards total 56,537 Eli is 9th history of NFL in game winning drives with 37.. Sure he held on alittle long but his numbers stack up against most of the greats and that consecutive games played streak is not to be taken lightly in the NFL.

Eli had no business getting those mvps
lanceuppercut88. A QB has to be terrible in a Superbowl not to get MVP. I do agree he will get in the HOF but he isn't HOF material. Fans can easily name the to 10 even 20 QBs in NFL history and not name Eli.
I’m tired of the Eli disrespect, do I think jones should play? Yes. But stop the disrespect
The disrespect is because he should have stepped down at least 4 or 5 years ago. Without that hardcore giants defense shutting down that high octane patriots offense, no super bowls. Should have kept Coughlin and got rid of Eli. Coughlin who was good at what he did got the gate and they reward Eli with more money to the dismay of the fans who wanted the giants to move on to a new qb.

he played 16 years in the modern day NFL, it is enviable that he's going to be top 10 in those categories, if you go, for example yards per game or TD's per game then he is average at best. Also a turnover machine. A HOF should at least be top 3 in the league at least once.
Lmao Clown He will clearly be in the HOF I don’t know why they are debating this
And by the time he's eligible for Hall of Fame he won't be top 10 in any of those. Eli Manning is essentially Trent Dilfer with 2 rings.
I haven't been fond of what Eli is done with this team the last couple of years with holding this team hostage HOWEVER, don't say Eli isn't HOF worthy when Joe Namath is in.
