The first time I've listened to this song I was a bit confused, cause I expected a typical Equilibrium song, but after listening several times I really dig this song! Equilibrium always suprises and that is what I totally love about them
i miss the fast melodies, the screamed vocals and the orchestral focus. I really liked the last album and am really thrilled for this piece

For those of you worried about the new direction of the song, and it being less folky and more melodeathy, the band have said on facebook that the rest of the album has plenty of folk to go around. Don't panic.

I think this is a great song. You can hear the Equilibrium-vibe in the song but more dark and mysterious.

I love this song. Chances are the rest of the album will be more like their other stuff, but the chorus in this song especially is awesome.
Das letzte Album von Equilibrium mit GUTEN Texten und GUTEM Gesang war "Sagas"...
Und dieses "Machwerk" kann man kaum noch mit den hervorragenden damaligen Leistungen vergleichen.
Naja, so unterschiedlich sind die Geschmäcker eben...
Ich fand den alten Gesang furchtbar, klang total gezwungen und einfach flach!
Robse hingegen hat eine starke, durchdringende Stimme!
Und das Album ist erfrischend anders und mal was neues =)

Nicht unbedingt etwas, das man Equilibrium erwarten würde, aber ohne Zweifel ein gutes Lied.
Ich hoffe, das ist der einzige englischsprachige Song auf dem Album... Eure deutschen Lyrics sind am besten!
Leider nicht, etwa die Hälfte ist englisch :-/ Auf Facebook kannst du ne Tracklist finden.
Ich persönlich finde auch dass es besser ist, wenn deutsche Bands auf Deutsch singen, aber Englisch klingt immer gut. Zum Glück Bands wie Die Apokalyptischen Reiter singen noch auf Deutsch.
Why this band does attract so many winery nolifers in the comment section? Get a life. I have been listening to Equi for years, they never dissapoint. As a melofan i defenitly like it that their melodeath side is shining trough in this song! Good stuff!

The truth is, you just see "Equilibrium new song", and you say "what a great song" without be objective. It's that all.

Equilibrium - means quality for me and metal masterpiece.
My first thought was "sounds a bit like Deathstars", after this "hey, there's the Equlibrium-sound!" - then the vocals begun. Suddendly Amon Amarth, especially in the verses, the chorus is very Equilibrium like. So... let's see what ARMAGEDDON will bring to us. I have no clue but I'm happy^^

Stetige Verbesserung! Richtig geil. Ich dachte anfangs wir bekämen jetzt so eine typische melodie durchgängig zu hören, aber das ist mit der tiefe richtig richtig gut geworden. So ein bisschen errinert mich der aufbau an Karawane, was auch einer meiner lieblingssongs ist

I honestly don't understand why people are saying that this sounds like amon amarth or insomnium. Insomnium itself is pretty well known for the awesome lead guitarist parts (like in ephermal and many others, that's what i think at least). Amon amarth: i only know a few of their songs but the synthesiser in equi is pretty unique on it's own + lyrically it's also different. People who think this is amon amarth 2 clearly don't know equilibrium well enough (there are enough differences)... melodically i don't see any ressemblence with amon amarth tbh.
a new way for equilibrium and definetely nice way. comparing with amon amarth or insomnium or another great band is meaningless. this is very well done. great song.

I'm American.Im from Alabama,of all places and I love metal that is either sung,growled or shrieked in other languages. To me, it maximizes the majesty and the mysterium of the composition while also my cultural awareness. Either way, this is pretty awesome.
The vocal style of this songs just keeps reminding me of Murmaider and I can't stop laughing bc my brain is stupid.

Yesterday, I was playing Dark souls for the first time too (yeah, I know, it´s pretty fucking late) and beat the Taurus Demon. Still remember that rush of adrenalin when beating him without the chance to survive one more hit. phew!
All I can tell you is that it's gonna get worse before it gets better, but once you start doing better it becomes the most empowering feeling

Ich werde es wohl nicht mehr erleben, dass diese Band ein Lied kreiert, dass so ehrfürchtig ist wie unbesiegt....Klar ist dieses Lied nicht schlecht aber es berührt einen nicht so wie o.g Song bzw. auch das ganze Sagas-Album.Jeder der das schonmal laut im Auto gehört hat und mitgesungen hat und die Mega Gänsehaut stehen hatte .....wird mich bestehen was ich meine ! Hoffen wir das Beste.
Ich bin genau deiner Meinung. Unbesiegt bleibt einfach unbesiegt! Genial, ich kenn kein anderes Lied (egal von welcher Band) was so einen wahnsinnigen Drive hat. Ich höre es seit fast 10 Jahren und krieg immer noch eine Gänsehaut!
Ich will Unbesiegt ganz laut im Auto hören, wenn ich meine Freundin nach ihrem Abschluss bei ihr daheim abhole und sie mit zu mir nehme. Das ist einfach unser Lied.

Weil er einfach recht hat. Equilibrium hat mit der Zeit einfach an Profil verloren, insbesondere das letzte Album war eine Frechheit. Hoffen wir mal, daß es mit diesem Album besser wird. Warum aber diesmal sogar mehrere Titel auf Englisch sein müssen, ist mir völlig unklar. Dieser Titel hier würde auf Deutsch viel besser wirken, weil es einfach härter und kantiger klingt.
Das Gute ist, daß Du nicht entscheidest, wer hier was wie zu kommentieren hat.
ich hab mal gehört, die kommetar-funktion wär dafür da, seine meinung zu äußern.
Bin auch n großer Helge Fan, aber diesen Post liest man unter beinahe jedem fucking song!

Will there be folky songs too? This just sounds like Amon Amarth... IMO making songs in English isn't a good change either. The folky elements and German language are the two reasons why I love Equilibriums previous albums so much. But we'll see, I hope the album delivers those as well.

Doesn't sound like Amon Amarth. But this song in particular does lack the folk elements. Its more orchestrated, with classical instruments rather than folk instruments. I'm more than certain there will be plenty folk-like songs on the album. Can't blame Equilibrium for wanting to switch up the sound a little, and experiment with english lyrics. I personally like it! If you see in the info about this video, it says "And yes, there will be german songs, too;)". So keep calm my friend

Ich hab ma vor ewigkeiten n Interview mit irgend 'nem älteren rockstar gelesen das er seine alten lieder zwar mag aber nicht mehr hören kann. Wenn man immer das gleiche macht wird es halt irgendwann langweilig. Die fans wollen immer die alten klassiker auf den Konzerten hören und er denke sich mehr oder weniger "Och nö, nich SCHON wieder"
Ich mag den alten scheiß auch lieber aber ich feier auch nicht alles was ich vor 3-4 jahren gemacht habe. Menschen ändern sich, geschmäcker ändern sich. So is das leben.
