Thanks for watching Jason 🙏🏻 what a conundrum. Honestly, both the Scott and the Gobi are an awesome boot. Yes they’re both a barefoot boot, but they offer a slightly different intent. The Gobi Boot has more movement, thinner leather, and more space size-for-size. They have really won me over. The only consideration is the flat lace and lace lock combination. Not something that has troubled me, but some people have commented about their potentially fiddly nature. The Scott’s feel robust, militant and warm. Thicker composition, classic style and construction. More cosseting and comforting. Ultimately, go for what suits your style and main intent with your lifestyle. They cover similar territory but their quirks set them apart. If I can help any further, please let me know, and all the best 🙏🏻 don’t forget to grab yourself a boosted discount until the end of the year ✌🏻
Thanks for the review, man, I find it helpful. I'd like to say that I really love the ergonomics of shoes from this brand. I've been struggling with my wide foot proportions for all of my life, and after 20 years, I figured out I myself wasn't the problem, but that shoe manufacturers just make narrow shoes. I'm on a budget, so the discount code in this video is the reason why I finally got these boots (the boots in my size were also unavailable in EU for a long time). Thanks so much!
I’m glad the review was helpful, and it’s awesome that you’ve finally found a brand that works for your wide feet 🙏🏻 Honouring a more natural function. How are the boots holding up so far? Are they living up to your expectations in terms of comfort and fit?
Owen- just picked these up , and love them immediately! I’m headed to Portugal for a few weeks and will be doing several miles of walking a day- will these hold up comfortably-wise?

Hi Jason, I’m really happy to hear you're loving them already 💚 Given your experience with Vivos and the amount of walking you’ll be doing in Portugal, they should hold up well. These shoes are built for both comfort and durability, especially with barefoot shoe enthusiasts like you in mind. They should provide the support you need for all those miles. If, for any reason, they don’t meet your expectations, you’ll still have plenty of time within the 100-day return window to decide if they’re right for you. Wishing you a fantastic time in Portugal, sounds like an incredible place to explore barefoot! 🦶🏻 Please do let me know how you get on. All the best on your barefoot adventures
@@OwenJackson Oh, yes, big time! Only two or three pairs of “traditional” shoes survived my transition to the barefoot world, and that’s because they are handmade, amazing quality, they fit like a glove…otherwise i’m wearing several models of Vivos for hiking, running, everyday use, i even got a pair for my concerts (i’m a classical musician and those old, elegant leather-shoes were killing my feet)…i’ve also got boots by Feelgrounds (very nice product) and sneakers by Groundies…quite happy with all of them! Thanks again for your work, keep it up… Cheers, D
Thank you, D! Your photos are beautiful, and I hope to visit your stunning country someday. It sounds like you've found the perfect balance between style and comfort with those shoes. Appreciate you sharing your experience, and wishing you all the best in your music and adventures 🏔️👣
Bro, I'm looking at the tread depth of 1.5mm. And of course it's soft because minimalist boot so they wear quicker. When a boot becomes smooth on the bottom they are worthless (slip on damp grass). Seems like it wouldn't last long for a (work boot) unless your definition of work is programming.
Thanks for watching Ty 🙏 I'm looking forward to spring and summer to test their suitability. A lot will depend on the environment you'll be wearing them, and the ambient temperatures you'll experience 🙂 I'm hoping for some natural breathability from the materials used. Also consider the gobi boot which is a lighter weight alternative without the plush lining: ua-cam.com/video/diSta9Lg1ds/v-deo.html or the Gobi iii: ua-cam.com/video/EiPrtzrEcas/v-deo.html if I can help further, just ask 🤙
@@OwenJackson i’ll most likely go with the Gobi boot since i’m in the southeast US and it’s about to warm up in a month or so. hopefully will get these next fall because the style is so good! do you have any specific socks you like with vivos?
🥷🏻 the Gobi boot style really is excellent 🙌🏻 with boots, a high percentage cotton is my preference. I have been experimenting with toe socks but haven’t settle on a good one yet. Let me know when the boots arrive and your preference 👍 Don’t forget the code linked in the description of your proceed to purchase the Vivos 🤙🏻 thanks for watching and your support 🙏🏻
thanks for watching 🙏 Technically you can wear whatever you want, whenever you want 😆 I'm used to having contradictory fashion choices. I wore flip flops during an Australian winter so sure, you can wear these in your summer. However, the warm cotton pile inner may be a bit too effective 🥵 Consider the more contemporary and less thermally efficient Gobi Boot: video here ua-cam.com/video/diSta9Lg1ds/v-deo.html the Scott is not strictly classed as a winterised boot, but it has been great during a British autumn / winter. Im yet to test during the summer, but it wouldn't stop me wearing them all year round. Especially if you're office based and A/C blasting 🥶
They do look awesome in the Bracken colour way I think it really suits the boot 🤩 🥾 I chose obsidian as it’s fits my needs. The website is constantly being updated so keep an eye out. my regular code is available all year round should miss out on the boosted deal 🙏🏻 hope they come back in stock for you
I like your videos and the subject matter which you cover . I do like Vivo boots they are sone of the aesthetically nicer barefoot out their but I cant help consider them to be over priced . Less is more....cost , seems an indulgent irony .
Thank you so much for your kind words and for sharing your thoughts! I'm thrilled to hear that you enjoy the videos and the topics I cover. Regarding Vivo boots, I completely understand your perspective on their pricing. It's true that sometimes the cost might seem higher, but for many enthusiasts, the value they offer in terms of both comfort and longevity tends to offset the initial investment. It's definitely a balance to strike. Your insights are valued, and I appreciate you taking the time to share them 🙏
I’ve been wearing them for only a week now.. 1 week and there’s a spot on the shoe that is peeling off. I like these shoes very much but for 195€ the leather shouldn’t peel off so easily within a week. What’s it gonna look like in few months?? I’ll have to get that spot fixed now
Thanks for sharing. I haven't experience that issue. Where exactly is the peeling happening? What environment and conditions have they been exposed to? It sounds frustrating, especially since it’s only been a week. I’d be wondering the same thing about how they’ll hold up in a few months. Do you think you’ll reach out to them? They do have a 100-day return policy, so it might be worth seeing if they can help you out 👍
@@OwenJackson Hello. The Peeling happened around the laces, somewhat it’s hard to describe without a picture. They haven’t been exposed to extreme conditions or weather really. I didn’t put them under a radiator or anything, I’ve kept them under very good conditions so I don’t understand why this has happened. But yes I’ll contact the company thank you!
Where are you based in 🇨🇦? I’ve not experienced a proper Canadian winter but I think these would do a good job of keeping your feet warm in urban environments. Have you a barefoot convert?
@@OwenJackson Im near Vancouver and the weather is probably similar to the UK (lots of rain) but Decemeber to March 1st it snows.
