Great work! I like your way of doing street. Non-intrusive and polite. Got a lot of inspiration from your shoot. Thank you. Looking forward for more videos.
Great camera, great film, you did very well shooting with it as it is very slow for Street Photography. I live in a small town and you can not point a camera at another person in the street, I have to travel to much bigger towns and cities to do "Street".
I like your photos, you are a very active photographer when framing your shots…and your eye for perspective enhances your photos, it’s easy to mangle wide angle shots.
Eduardo, as soon as you held up the roll of FP4 I had a smile on my face! Made me want to dig out the old Nikon FM and buy some FP4 and HP5. So pleased to see how much fun you were having - in spite of the cold. Great photos. Thank you.
+EduardoPavezGoye I think I shall, Eduardo. No darkroom bag, processing tanks, spools or chemicals. But I intend to rectify that. To think I gave a whole darkroom of stuff away! I have never had a neg scanner - hope they are not too difficult to get?! Ordered some HP5 already...
chirpybee if you are looking for a cheap and effective negative scanner for 35mm, I can recommend the Epson V600. that was my first scanner and I only sold it because I started using 120 film.
+EduardoPavezGoye Might Iask: what are you using for 120, Eduardo? I have a selection of B/W 120 film from when I used a Yashicamat TLR. I am only after a "decent" output for web etc. If I want a large print I will use the "old fashioned" enlarger/chemicals method!
I push fp4 past 800 and the grain is minimal. It can be the scans or the developer used. Agitation should also be in super slow motion. I push it with hc110 and it controls the grain well, and keeps the blacks from dulling out. Hc110 1+31 at 24 minutes, 68degrees f.
wish you had the settings on each shot.....would help us understand exposure that much more.....although enjoyable to watch, i dont learn anything here....as a newbie i have a hard time finding people that show settings of their pictures......thanks for a great vid!
I believe it is really useless to share the exposure settings because you don't know how the light was in that particular time and place. Do not worry about that. Just go and learn the basics of a correct exposure, go out and practice. :)
Another Awesome Video man! I like how you approach your subjects, getting close, but not bursting their space bubble (my kind of style). Thanks again for your tips about ebay. I would also like to see you do another video using your Xpan on the streets of London. Do you also write Blogs?? (just wondering). Thanks and happy shooting!
+ShootStreetTV I usually just come close and wait for the right time. I see how they react with other people and if they have no problem or are too distracted by them, I just go and take the picture. Other times I wait for them to turn around. It all depends on the situation. I don't have a blog. I used to. Maybe I should revive it. Thanks for watching!
I do shoot street photography close to your style, but I still get the jitters and I want to get closer to my subject even more but I still get really nervous of a closer approach. Watching your videos, makes me want to do more shots up close. I would love to see your favorite photos you took on the streets. I travel for work right now and only brought my Fuji X100T, but I can't wait to go home and learn more about my Rolleiflex and my Canonet QL17. Your videos also inspired me to shoot more film. Thanks! and Looking forward on your next video.
something wrong with that 28? I see lots of flare on the highlights. messy frontlens or fungus perhaps? Imo fp4 is not so grainy... so I think it is the lens producing flat contrast because is has a problem somewhere...
Great video!!! I have a few questions lol 1) Is it better to over expose black and white film or under expose it (tri-x)? 2) If black and white film(tri-x) is off by about 1 stop will it be okay like color film? 3) do you focus a rangefinder with the numbers on the lens?
hey man! these are my answers: 1) in film always expose for the shadows. you can recover the highlights. 2) black and white film can be off by more than one stop, it has more latitude than color film, so don't worry. it'll be fime. besides, tri-x has a CRAZY dinamic range. 3) no, I focus with the viewfinder. you can focus with the distances on the lens, and I've done it, but I don't like it. if I'm going to shoot like that, I rather use a Lomo, not a Leica. cheers!
EduardoPavezGoye thankyou so much!!! Ive been trying to find these answers on the internet and maybe im just bad at it, but had no luck lol So this was a Huge help!!:)
+JP1050x it's pretty accurate. I got it for cheap on ebay. it was done by a guy in Israel, if I remember correctly. I usually meter the light at the beginning (light and show) and then just go by memory. :)
+EduardoPavezGoye I imagined the M3 to be limited by its 50mm finder, but the hot shoe finder seems like it would be a good option in going wide. Thanks!
Hi! I noticed in some photos that the people passing by were blurry. Was it because you were using slow shutter speed? By the way the Franco Manga has really good pizzas!
I like FP4 but you need the right light for it, much prefer HP5 as I find it manages highlights better. But that is through getting film developed elsewhere, but now I've started developing my own I might find things different. I really liked the music in this video and it was a very pretty photo of Fran. I really like your take on street photography, the "please" and "thank you" with a bit of interaction makes all the difference, I won't do it because it looks weird on a mobility scooter but that doesn't mean I don't appreciate the work of others.
+mailtsauce not all shots are grainy, but I missed the calculation on some of the expositions and had to pull them in post. I'm usually confident in my light-metering-by-eye skills, but we can all fail. haha. thanks for watching!
Darthpotato94 it's a classic Leica M3 issue: sometimes people use them and carry them around the street in a sunny day without the lens cap and with the lens wide open, so when the sun points at the camera, the lens itself behaves like a magnification glass, burning the cloth shutter. :(
+Lin Vi usually no, unless I really want to have a certain picture and there's no way I can get it without getting noticed. I asked 3 out of 36 people in this roll. :)
Great video! I also want to be a street photographer, but it is really embarrassing when people found out that I was shooting them. How do you get over that guilt?
I really don't understand what the fuss about is with Leica, I was so close to buying an M3 until I watched some videos, the quality isn't really all what I thought it was :l However I did recently see an image taken with an M2 or M3 with a Jupiter and the quality looked stunning.. don't understand :(
boski there's not much to understand: the quality of the pictures has nothing to do with the body and everything to do with the Lens. A picture taken with a "cheap" Leica lens will be worse than one taken with a premium Canon lens. A premium Leica lens, however, has little to no competitors (both in performance and how expensive they are).
Oh I'm aware it's everything to do with the lens, but a lot of pictures I see from a Leica are often out of focus.. although mostly it is street photography which is understandable with a rangefinder I suppose :) Thanks for the reply Eduardo :) Love your stuff.
I like the shots but something is not quite right with that fp4, dev method or a hazy lens or something a lot of grain and flare the 1/10th shots look a lot better.
Every time I pick up a film I haven't used before, I always double check to see if you have a shoot film episode on it. Great stuff!
I used this film quite often. When I'm in Europe I used mostly XP2. I miss London.
I really enjoy watching these videos! I like how you show the photos right after they're taken instead of at the end of the video.
The best photo VLOG on YT. Keep up the great work!!
Great work! I like your way of doing street. Non-intrusive and polite. Got a lot of inspiration from your shoot. Thank you. Looking forward for more videos.
Great series. Would be great to see a good video on using and operating the M3, and any tips etc.
Great idea for a video, I enjoyed watching and look forward to many more! Thanks for sharing.
Another great film! Thanks for sharing.
this shoot film series is really great! your work is an inspiration.
Nice shots, lovely film! So many people on their phones lol!
I'm inspired to go out and use my film camera. You captured such great photos, especially liked the one with Fran!
Great camera, great film, you did very well shooting with it as it is very slow for Street Photography. I live in a small town and you can not point a camera at another person in the street, I have to travel to much bigger towns and cities to do "Street".
Real pleasure to watch!
I like your photos, you are a very active photographer when framing your shots…and your eye for perspective enhances your photos, it’s easy to mangle wide angle shots.
Awesome. That last frame, I bet you thought "ah if only I waited 1 more second before shooting" :)
Eduardo, as soon as you held up the roll of FP4 I had a smile on my face! Made me want to dig out the old Nikon FM and buy some FP4 and HP5. So pleased to see how much fun you were having - in spite of the cold. Great photos. Thank you.
+chirpybee thank you for watching and I hope you stay motivated! post the results!!

chirpybee in 120 I'm using Trix-400 developed with D76 and scanned with an Epson 4490.
I like the contrast in these photos.
That was a good roll man, some solid exposures there. Smart metering choices too!
I'm surprised by the amount of grain in these FP4 shots. How did you process the film? Did you have to do much digital post processing to them?
developer makes a big difference
Maybe a bad processing temperature
I push fp4 past 800 and the grain is minimal. It can be the scans or the developer used. Agitation should also be in super slow motion.
I push it with hc110 and it controls the grain well, and keeps the blacks from dulling out. Hc110 1+31 at 24 minutes, 68degrees f.
awww, that photo of fran is so precious!
Love the spot from the intro, I always think it would make a good photo when I pass by
this is awesome. so glad I finally looked at your channel! 😀🙌🙏❤
gran video Edurdo! Descubrir tu canal ha sido genial!
Actually the 1/10 of a second look awesome for me, better than the other ones!
Veros a ti y a Fran siempre me da buen rollito :D

Adoro tus retratos urbanos, yo simplemente no podría.
Best camera! Nice shots!!!
fp4 is such a nice looking film
Love this video so much! Fantastic!
Padrísimas todas las fotos! En especial la de Fran! :)
Did you have issues when scanning? I didn't expect the hp4+ so grainy
Definitely not good.
Very good video and photos !
Saludos! :)
Your color grading is so good! I love it. Excellent shots as well. Although I am looking forward to your next shoot digital video.
Wait what, he shot b&w the entire video...
Yves - I'm talking about the video colour grading, not the shots. 😂
haha. that was lovely. thanks for the compliment. I just made a tutorial on color grading, by the way.

It had a severe case of haze. I used it on the M240 review and was way worse. I sent it to repair and now works lovely.
Buenas fotos! maravillosa cámara!

I'm going to take a photo. Wait, I better get down.😉
I like the way you show each photo, Leicas are lovely :)

I love fp4 it’s one of my favorites. And I push it hard, over 800. Deep inky blacks. Check out Trent Parke’s stuff , he also pushes fp4
This is exactly how I imagine Henri Cartier Bresson! You are a stunning photographer. keep it up!
Nice video! How accurate is the hot shoe finder? Also, did you use a light meter, or guess the exposure?
+JP1050x it's pretty accurate. I got it for cheap on ebay. it was done by a guy in Israel, if I remember correctly. I usually meter the light at the beginning (light and show) and then just go by memory. :)
+EduardoPavezGoye I imagined the M3 to be limited by its 50mm finder, but the hot shoe finder seems like it would be a good option in going wide. Thanks!

nice one dude, enjoyed that immensely from my 25 degrees living room :)

Hi! I noticed in some photos that the people passing by were blurry. Was it because you were using slow shutter speed?
By the way the Franco Manga has really good pizzas!
That 8-Bit TTNG :O
I have trouble with glasses and looking through the viewfinder I don't get how you can do it.
FP4 seems super grainy for a ISO100 Film. How did u develop it ? Did u do anything to the scans (digital processing) ? I love your channel ! cheers
Did anyone figure out what the old lady said to him at 2:26? BTW inspiring stuff
What developer? The images have a lot of grain. I like it. Usually FP4 don't like me because has a too much fine and smooth creamy grain.
Wunderbar !!

Do another hassleblad Xpan on the streets!
+ThatPyotr yessir!
+ThatPyotr heck yes!
+ThatPyotr those panoramic shots are so cool. I want that camera! :)
Great video!
Your pictures has a lot of grain. Did you push the film?
Good shots but how come ISO 125 film is so grainy?
+mailtsauce
I think Ed either pushed the development time, or he did a stand development.
+mailtsauce not all shots are grainy, but I missed the calculation on some of the expositions and had to pull them in post. I'm usually confident in my light-metering-by-eye skills, but we can all fail. haha. thanks for watching!
Hi, can you explain your scanning process?
Consulta, revelas a color? Ojala algún día puedas hacerte un videito
Otra consulta
Que telemétrica marca Voigtlander me recomendarías? Qué onda la Bessa R?.
O directamente ninguna.
Saludos man!
did you push the film? The streets look a bit cloudy, and the speed of the film is only 125 yeah?
Wich camera was used to film the video???
I really want to know that ;)
+Johannes Runge it's a Canon EOS M. all my videos are shot with that little cheap camera.
Ok...I just cant really believe it because this video looks almost like film...thats great!
+Johannes Runge Did you use a filter or something?
do you know how to focus that lens?
Do you get any light leaks shooting in bright daylight with your M3?
+Darthpotato94 no. do you? if so, you should sent it for repair. :(
+EduardoPavezGoye Backdoor light leaks I can bear with but light leaks from the front is a fucking mess.
Darthpotato94 it's a classic Leica M3 issue: sometimes people use them and carry them around the street in a sunny day without the lens cap and with the lens wide open, so when the sun points at the camera, the lens itself behaves like a magnification glass, burning the cloth shutter. :(
+EduardoPavezGoye What lens are you using by the way?
Darthpotato94 In this video I just used the 28mm Summicron.
Son unas fotos muy bonitas👍👍
what is your main film camera you use?
Is it better the freeze the people in the shot than show movements?
Did ya use a light meter? If so, what?
I explain it here: ua-cam.com/video/-Ggmc5iAW9Q/v-deo.html
it's in Spanish, so activate the subtitles in English. cheers!
Whoa! Is that an 8-bit cover of If I Sit Still, Maybe I'll Get Out Of Here when you ate dinner?
Read the description, got it haha :)
Joel Ostrem hahah. I'm glad you got it. Awesome band and awesome song!
Did you ask the persons to allow you to make a picture of them?
+Lin Vi usually no, unless I really want to have a certain picture and there's no way I can get it without getting noticed. I asked 3 out of 36 people in this roll. :)
Really enjoy this series! Keep em coming!
And that camera bag is sick. Whered you get it?
+Trieu Tran thank you Trieu! it's a 10€ camera bag I bought in a second-hand market in Berlin. it's super cheap, but I really like it!
I love this guy
Wonderful video as always my man!
What camera was Fran using to record this?
+Tyler Wright all my videos are recorded with the Canon EOS M
+EduardoPavezGoye thanks I was going to ask too. That's what I thought I saw.
Great video!
I also want to be a street photographer, but it is really embarrassing when people found out that I was shooting them. How do you get over that guilt?
You eventually just start to not give a shit
Excelente!
How do you use a 28mm on an M3?
...watch the video?
Very cool.
hi Eduardo, i have one question, why the film its so grainy?, you pushed this film?
what kind of camera was used to film this?
Canon eos M
How do you focus so fast?
Shout out to the This Town Needs Guns audio
+Chris Borges /o/
what that music
ttng!
4:18 best moment eveer!!! hahahahaha

You're like a different person in English, Ed!
I like the shots but something is not quite right with that fp4, dev method or a hazy lens or something a lot of grain and flare the 1/10th shots look a lot better.
