How do you know when you are due for a filter change? I here weird noises coming from my glove box, and I am wondering if it could be that.

I tend to change mine before each season. (Before spring like around now and fall/winter)
You can also smell a fresh carbon filter (as weird as that sounds). The next time you put a new filter close the recirculating vents and get a good whiff. From there you can basically detect variances from that clean smell. The instance of any musk, smell or odor prompts me to put a clean filter.
Alternatively…..the glove box also has a CD Player and an SD card reader that, like me, you may not have noticed.
I suspect that you may have a disk inside and the sounds are the system randomly spinning the disk.

Thanks for the info! I fixed the noise by taking the CD out of the CD player! Also, I will definitely be changing my air filter soon, considering it hasn't been done in over a year.

@@MysticCrunch7 That was it! Glad we were able to figure it out! Haha, that's actually so awesome! Also, I now carry around my huge early 2000's CD binder that is full of nostalgia! We also sometimes stop into random goodwill's to peruse the CD section which results in some pretty epic stuff.
Last thing, if you didn't know, music quality degraded exponentially in order to make it more accessible. So streaming is the fastest, but lowest quality audio there is. CD audio still outperforms any digital version. Something to consider for those of us who like to build audio systems, we can still enjoy high bitrate audio in an Atlas!

Best Hombre: love the Atlas videos. I’ve got a model year 2018 SE. she’s got a big 135k under her belt. Still humming. I can easily get her up to 100 on open freeways with her V6. Looking to upgrade some components like the Luft-Teknik system. Have you tried resonator delete or the full size Wookie system? Sadly, Nikko from ECS told me there’s not much else out there for the V6 Atlas. If you’ve got any ideas please advise. What bugged me was their website advertised that some other performance parts fit my model but when I checked I was told no. Wth? Dan

Thank you so much! 135k that's great to hear, my 19' just hit 74k.
I do have the ecs resonator delete, huge improvement in sound, but also killed my mpg because I can't keep off the gas 😂. Recently the clamps they provided rusted out and I have a huge exhaust leak...
I actually ended up selling the luft-technik Intake, went back to stock and a K&N panel filter for the summer, there was too much heat soak: amzn.to/3AvwYmH
Power: someone on the forums did testing and saw that on regular fuel there was a lot of timing corrections , but notnwhen they ran premium (probably indicates more power with premium)
Honestly, I would really really appreciate more power and it's the only reason I consider selling the Atlas, it's just so hard to beat the space!

@@BestHombre hmmm. thanks for the reply. i'm going to try this ecs intake out. i watched a guy put a couple cold air intake mods on a Dyno somewhere on UA-cam and there were measurable hp and torque gains. Not huge but noticeable . Even stock my Atlas has no problem hitting triple digits on the speedometer. not bad for what was in 2018 the most cabin room in its class. i'd like to try an exhaust mod but in NY state where i live they amended the law to make it hard to install any exhaust mod outside of oem. i'll have to check into the heat soak issue but i believe you. anyway i have no plans to trash my oem parts. ha

All horizontally mounted cabin air filters with the blower motor mounted below the filter will have downward air flow. Good job.

Didn't that applied across the board, good to know, thank you.
