Jim shows how to build an equivalent of Facebook's BigPipe in Play, where components of a page are delivered in parallel, decreasing latency dramatically, especially for mobile. Nitro hosted the meetup.
Thank you for posting this video. The more I learn about Paly and Scala the more I like it.
This is probably the best tech talk I have ever seen. YEVGENIY BRIKMAN is pure gold, I will make sure to watch anything and everything that's available on youtube that's presented by him. Thanks for sharing all of this information with the world
It is the best presentation which I saw!
Jim does very good presentations. I watched a few.
Well done, well structured, learned a lot. Thanks.
These guys are building the future of software development. less than 5 years all of it will be on the market industry. people are just frustrated about java productivity, crap frameworks like spring mvc and jsf shit.
The future is building by Scala and Play.
3 years after, we could agree you were wrong.
Muchas gracias.
Como dice mi amigo de abajo, este señor esta haciendo el futuro, y dándole muerte a Sprint, jsf y a Java, ahora es Play, Scala y REST. hasta mato a Ajax.
Excelente.
Muchas Gracias
Really good stuff. Just wondering if there is a github of any of this - > ? It's quite hard to follow when some of it has since been deprecated. Thanks Yevgeniy!
Is there a repo with the code of this presentation?
Like this talk. But, how do you dedupe the service calls that he talked about?
A bunch of people have asked, so here is an outline of how to de-dupe remote service calls in Play: gist.github.com/brikis98/761e4fa7404f6b9803bb
Do you even lift bro? Get it, get it? Hahaha
