I downloaded 3rd because of this exact collab and havent stopped since. Having a playable anime matching almost all eva scenes was amazing, and makes Evangelion 64 even more impressive because back then you can see that the game was also trying to do what this collab did. I have SSS asuka, stigmas (but with columbus M), weapon, Asuka outfit but bronya one
Ngl controlling Wotan was really asscheeks, felt like I was playing an A rank Himeko The Sahaquiel sequence was REALLY good, though I even got lucky with HoR's EVA01 skin, the old days 😌 before I stopped playing that is
if they pull up with this much just for a collab on hi3 i can't wait for the fate collab in hsr(which announcing a year in advance sounds like they'll do a lot but of course I'll not overhype myself)
They have done lesser collabs; Aloy from Horizon in Genshin was one such token action, and also the Promare Collab with Honkai was only a couple of skins. However signs of Fate being much more of an influence in H:SR (most obvious being Clara and Svarog/Ilya and Berserker, bone of sword references) and the Hoyo Devs in general being fans of Fate point to the Fate collab being more in depth.

I'm not a (big) fan of Evangelion, but Honkai's passion poured that patch, it was contagious for sure; plus, finally and Wotan at 100% (Columbus M will never replace the hole left by not being lucky with Rei...)
I think it was Gigguk's ad read that introduced me to HI3 when the collab was happening. I jumped in and completed everything! Got myself every single item and maxed it out. Then I just stopped playing. lol
I started playing near the end of this collab and didn't have time to get the outfits or anything and it sucked bigtime. I forgot how good some of the scenes were too. I loved the bike riding and hoped that they'd bring it back for keyboard and mouse control. Thanks for making this video you're a legend!
I've heard so much about this collab and although I haven't seen the actual Anime, this collab looks amazing! 🔥 I seriously hope Honkai Impact 3rd does another collab like it in the future. With HSR having a collab with the Fate series, I hope we get another Eva style collab in Honkai Impact 3rd.
The only way I would go back to the game some day would be if they drop another collab as sick as this one with a franchise that I like at this point, this collab may be a few years old already but It is indeed some of the coolest things that Hoyo has cooked even now

Eva is pretty much what inspired Mihoyo, makes sense for them to go all out for that collab. Their other collabs have been... fine. The Honkai x Genshin collab was solid, but it's their own IP so. The Honkai x Promare was ehh. It just brought in 2 new skins and a stigmata. Technically Genshin had a collab with Horizon, but it was more of Sony just telling them to put one of their characters in the game. Collabs with Mihoyo so far have been hit or miss
If only they could get another license to run a revamped version of the event. I believe the license for the original one stipulated they could never do it again. But what if they completely redid it with the current up-to-date roster and engine?
The memories~ i'm not completely sure if i am to be glad i got asuka weapon and two stigma... Or if to be regretful for the missing one... Sadly, Collab contents is limited time. No more Asuka or The Children stigma set to collect (Which is now replaced by the farmable Columbus set.). I know performance-wise she's nothing compared to the S-Rank dps but still it was fun to play her in co-op. Makes me wary of the future HI3 big Collab events if there's going to be another one.

hey maybe genshin could collab with kfc again ahahahaha back on topic ,eva collab was great , the elevator scene instead of going up in the bridge it's go down. the music was great. my only gripe is that we didn't get a pri-arm for the longinus spear and asuka didn't got any updates for ER , in fact old valks should've been the priority for ER. i thought ER is supposedly to have new and old valks playable again. and a fullblown wotan battle against the angels are nice too , i really love the way they made wotan felt so heavy and powerful. i think if they mihoyo should collab more with gainax though they just recently filed for bankrupt. hopefully trigger buys them if possible.

Anything outside that would have required an amended or new deal. Updating ER with Asuka content (new moves from unique signets) could be construed to be using Eva content as advertisement despite not paying Gainax any more money. Such is the state of copyright law and IP protection.
@@225Reaver they could have a signed contract to not edit or change whatever agreement they had and any changes should notice gainax first. Well gainax is bankrupt now so they could easily make a deal with them. Plus they have a working relationship with trigger the successor of gainax. Its easy to have a deal with them now problem is money.

I've just seen bad stuff happen due to copyrights across international law - the biggest mess was Harmony Gold, Battletech and Robotech/Gundam which had a litigious company who acquired the rights to part of a mech franchise being able to sue a western games development company for using designs of their work that was shared with the original anime company, and the resultant court cases going on 15 years or so. International copyright law is byzantine and definitely no joke to tangle with, especially when multiple parties on the bankruptcy of a company can buy up separate rights.

I wish they'd bring back old events like these permanently. I couldn't care less about getting no or only some rewards, I just want a chance to experience the Eva collab myself, since I didn't play at the time or even knew this event existed. Really the only thing I don't like about Hoyo's games.
And after that we had a GI collab that was also amazing and funny as hell. Sadly, Hoyo decided to collab with HZD and add Alloy instead of collabing back with HI3. Such a missed opportunity

Bronia outfits both make her like a diffrent elemnt DPS the purple one make her like lightning DPS and the orang~red one one make her like a fire DPS.
