Presenter and photographer Chris Chapman travels the Westcountry, taking in stories from the countryside and recording the lives of its people through his unique and skillful black and white photography.
In this series of eight programmes, each with it's own regional theme, Chris finds himself racing with Pilot Cutters in the Bristol Channel, climbing church steeples with the Dawsons, and glimpsing the mysterious world of Irish pony trotting.
Throughout his adventures there emerges a land where traditional crafts are mixed with forward thinking, painting a picture of a diverse and beautiful part of England.

Huge respect for Dave dawson. seen his videos on UA-cam...the Dawsons seem very annoyed when Fred the legend dibnah is mentioned on their videos but shouldn't be because Dave dawson is just as much a legend..

its good to see a real family of tradesmen handing their skills down to their children as it should be, without all these college trained scabs muscling in on their living
