The 4.1 update came recently and with it an interesting improvement to the world ascension question, making it quicker and easier to do but just how easy?
I *TRIED* doing it, the ruin guard died on 0:20. So I had 20 seconds to defeat the agent, but still it has too many HP. the treasure hoarders are also really annoying. They distract me from killing the agent.
4.3 I saw they updated the quest. I tried doing it, they gave us 3 minutes. Js the last enemy I’m struggling on, and it had a little hp left but I still failed. BUT IT WAS DEFINITELY better than the last one 😭 js some lvl up some characters, switch the artifacts, and food buffs
I feel like the issue is how little time they give, i think if i had three or four minutes id deffo be able to do it (ive been stuck at ar50 for a whole month now 💀)
yeah the older challenges had a lot more time to them, this one is much shorter and feels like if you don’t have a good AOE dmg team it’d be a struggle, good luck on trying to clear the quest tho !!
I tried doing this quest with lvl 70 Hu Tao, Xingqiu, Jean, and a lvl 55 Diona. I passed with 35 seconds left. What I suggest (idk if it’s correct) but try to focus on getting more 5 star artifacts on ur main dps, and a high damage on ur sub too. Lvl ur weapons all the way up to 80. While also adding food buffs or potions. Idk if this will help or not 😅 but it’s based off of my experience.
I'd recommend using a team with a fair bit of Aoe dmg, someone like Xiangling. And make sure you level up both your talents and arifacts they're very helpful to have raised! best of luck to you :)
This is giving me headache. I've been stuck at this for months now I always run out of time . I wish they give us at least 5 or 10 minutes to do this that under 2 min is to damn hard I already have my characters all at level 80 max artifacts yet I'm forced to level my skills because of this
sorry you’re having so much trouble with it, levelling up your talents is a very important part of increasing your characters dmg output. hope you’re able to beat the challenge soon :)
ahh it's such a pity Elliot turned out to be a bad guy, his voice lines sounded great... hadn't heard tigh after the va update until this video.... anyways, this barely feels like an ascension quest now lol, the previous one felt like a huge "thing", this is just some random enemies in a room lol
The closest I've gotten is being at the last enemy halfway done when the timer ran out. I think having 10 extra enemies instead of the Ruin Guard would've been easier, it's what I fail most on since I can't do that much damage (especially without dying myself)
that's tough, have you tried putting an artifact set like Ocean hued Clam on your healing character. It could help improve your healing a little and add a bit of extra dmg into your team
I'm sure this is meant to be to show you how hard it will be after acencion. Not make that easier then but them hard when they fight the leveled up enemies
This looks way easier than fighting the electro cube although I am already ar 52 to me these were pretty easy because I made sure my artifacts and characters were leveled I completed the older domain with the electro cube with a level 80 lyney with a level polar star and some level 50-60 fours stars plus mona I only really passed because everyone had level 80 weapons but it was still kinda hard since I kept dying.
update I beat that because lvl 60 xiangling is broken and then I immediately got the quest for the next ascension and got the last enemy to about half hp
The last time I did my ascension quest the first big changer is where it ended. I think that was for AR35, I’ve not done another since as I find these quests annoying and pointless for a game that is already a grindfest!
Wait- so i just did the ascension quest on my alt account- and its definitely easier than fighting the cube (still miss the cube though lucky new genshin players for getting a easier one)
As someone who only played the newest ascension quest (they replaced the fatui guy and 2 treasure hoarders at the end to a geovishap) I'd take the old ascension quest anyday lol at least yall were given 8 min for your horde and electro cube each (+ I can clear electro cube in like 2min), I had to dig my dusty Kaeya out to employ freeze strats so that the ruin guard wouldn't go swinging and waste my 2min 💀💀
Heya, apparently the domain layout and enemies change according to which ascension quest level you're doing... I'm using your footage as reference to update the wiki lol
The old ascension domain actually got split in two parts, with the first half being used for the first two ascension challenges, and the latter half for the latter two. That's only the layout though, most enemies were changed
I have to do the last ascension quest and they replace it with some geo enemy that rolls on the ground 😭 yea no I’m not finishing the quest anytime soon
Too little time is given and that fatui agent at the end is making things way harder, the previous ascension quest is ridiculously easier.
Fr by the time I was done with the ruin guard, I had 3 seconds left for the fatui agent… (8 attempts later, I’m still stuck at AR 45)

I have around 75k exp saved its absolutely driiving me crazy, if they gave us like 5 or 4 minutes the quest would DEF be easier

Tighnari's current voice actor is actually pretty great, so glad they were able to change VA so quickly after what happened
