- With a house full of toddlers and pre-teens, one can expect a bit of chaos, and even a bit of damage. As we prepped for dinner this past week, one of the kids had an accident and dropped a heavy metal stool, which punctured the floor and left a huge gaping hole in one of our porcelain tiles. Accidents happen, and Daniel tried to soothe the situation with a bit of nervous laughter, because he knew Dennis' would freak out over this incident, not just because of the damage itself, but because we really don't have any leftover pieces, but one, to be able to repair the floor, and it can get quite complicated to perform the job itself. Check out the video to see Dennis' reaction to the incident, and let us know how you'd react to arriving home from a busy day of work, to a huge hole in your floor. We also had a bit of fun and took the kids to their first Cybrarium, over in our neck of the woods, where they checked out some books to reach for the next couple weeks. Oh Daniel- I think Dennis was pissed more about the laughter than the hole on the tile as you both realized before taking the children there was going to be accidents and mishaps with six children in the house but all ended well Dean and Devin were so cute and adorable they are growing up so fast thanks for sharing this video with us always enjoy watching my favorite family sending my love to all you guys till next week be safe love ya 💙 🤠
HAHA! Yes, this is true! It was more about laughing about the hole in the floor, than the actual damage. It was a nervous laughter, which he understood later and all was well. We will get it repaired soon enough! :)

Sh** happens, it’s how you deal with it that makes the difference! I felt bad for your nephew (you could tell he felt terrible and was sincerely sorry) and Dennis. Like Dennis, I would have been pissed! Also like Dennis, after getting past the initial shock and realizing when you have 6 kids in the home accidents are going to happen, I too would take a deep breathe, accept it was just an accident and get on with finding a solution. There is obvious so much love in your family that you can work through anything! Take care Marzoa family! Love and hugs to you all!
You're right on, Peggy! Shocked and upset at first, but once that wore off, he felt bad for AJ, who felt horrible about it. Luckily, we have spare tiles and will be able to repair the floor soon enough. Love and hugs to you as well! :)

I glued my tile hard and fast to the top of a cement board to transfer the pressure of a strike. I don't understand how a hole can punch through if a solid backing is in place. Maybe chips but not a complete hole like this one
I hear ya! Floors were very unlevel so they had to use mortar to install the tile, like they would a marble type, with thick mud, so there was a hollow spot on this particular tile and that's exaclty where the heavy metal stool slammed the floor. Luckily, we'll get it repaired soon enough!

Now days kids have it made which it's o.k but they still need to apologize. That teaches them to be responsible even if it was an accident.

This is a risk you take when you have people in your house. Accidents can happen. It’s not fun but most of the time be replaced or repaired.
