I love your videos about every day life, local attractions. In particular, I love the videos at your dacha, cooking the fish, doing the gardening, the interview with your mom, the trips to Sochi. Seeing the kinds of things you have in shops that we might not have here. The bison park video was nice too because it is something local and fun. I have been in your channel since almost the beginning and I love seeing you and your every day life. I don't need lots of structured culture content. We come back every week to see YOU! Best greetings from Kansas USA ❤🌈🌻

-update on your friend that was forced to join
    -go on some blind dates

-more interviews, maybe take questions from the audience
    -more live streams

I am so thankful you are safe and healthy! That is the most important part! But to answer your question, you can do a mix of meditation videos, videos about your journey through the immigration process, personal videos about your life or just your feelings on whatever you want to share, interviews with others like your family, local attractions and museums, art history, music history, food culture, and language. Whatever you want and feel comfortable to share. Most of us just like everything you make, Xenia, honestly, because we love you 💕Keep up the good spirit; you’re doing great!! 😊

Don't feel as if you need to constantly keep putting out videos, or sticking to the roughly once per week schedule. There will be times when nothing much is going on, so just adjust your self-expectations accordingly. Throttle back the pressure. If you feel you absolutely have to post something, you can keep it short ("I'm still here, doing fine"). But then, there will come times when a lot is changing quickly, and you will reflexively know what to discuss or report on. Have confidence in yourself -- which we all know you have, by putting up the channel in the first place. You call us your friends, which is so nice to say, so trust that we are happy just to hear from you every once in a while.

I would like to see the arts. Russian lacemaking, needlework, dressmaking. How about art galleries? Maybe where people dance, classes or theater performances. What classes are given at local University? Are they free? Are there museums? Are there any cooking classes, maybe interesting restaurants with special dishes. Are there movie houses. When people go out for an evening where do they go.

Now, this is something you don't see everyday! I drop by to watch your channel because you are an articulate experiencer of life in St. Petersburg during the SMO. The content you have cleverly created is excellent and often very detailed and researched. You are often self-defacing, you don't need to be the expert, just being the smart and funny woman you are is enough. I think when we're looking, things will come to us and I believe you'll find a way to keep things interesting.
I remember someone telling me once, "the way will show." You are on the way and it will reveal itself. Meditate, until all is breathing in and breathing out, and you are reduced to the simplicity of all life....then the way will show. From Canada with hope!

I totally understand where you are coming from on this issue. You have a huge heart. Some of my favorite videos from anyone is their day to day life. Cooking, grocery hauls, cleaning etc. I like your cooking videos. Since I am from the USA, I am very interested in learning how other countries cook and what their recipes are. I think you could do short day trips also. If you go visit your Mom and her Dacha. I would be interested in a short tutorial of the Dacha and how a lot of Russians have them but don’t seem to live in the full time. Update us on your Meditation classes. I find that very interesting. Do you like to read? If so some book recommendations would be interesting. If you are burnt out (it is understandable). Take a break. Just don’t leave us. We would miss you. I have already learned a lot about Russia and the Russian people from your channel. Sorry to be so long. You are such a good person and we want you to be happy. A loyal subscriber/friend.

I see your dilemma and feel your frustration. I'm sure there is still beauty to be seen in Russia and sometimes, because of many different things that happen, it becomes hard for us to see. Maybe not to promote travel and positive vibes but more a view of the best you can still see around you and share what you will miss once you arrive in your new life. I guess that could be a topic for your last video from Russia. I know people are suffering as you need to go on and your heart wont allow you to make positive content as it all happens in your real time. I know that was no help at all and I hope you get suggestions that will be usable for content for you. Finding beauty is a step to escape depression. Please keep sharing with us.

One of the reasons I watch your vlog is because I am interested in travel and I travel a lot by myself. I especially enjoy your content because it is from a single person’s perspective. You cover a lot of the costs of travel that one person on a budget finds useful. So wherever you end up and whatever you do I am looking forward to you continuing that unique perspective on life. More collaborations with Russians traveling abroad might be an interesting idea too. It’s tough when other sites are geared towards a younger audience or couples traveling together and sharing expenses and opinions. Your opinion is important too and I just hope to see more of that.

Personally, I think there are enough channels that cover the invasion/war. You shouldn’t feel you need to go anywhere near that. I like what you said about your changing world perspective. If your opinions are changing, then they should be reflected. New content is always a challenge for creators and I can only imagine how hard it must be for you right now.
One word of advice is to not take your channel in a totally different direction (meditation) than your long term viewers are used to. There are plenty of meditation channels out there and if you want to join those ranks, you may want to look into creating a second channel.
Personally, if I am tuning into a channel to see more about life in Russia and suddenly get fed something completely different, I would likely look elsewhere.
Just my two cents! I wish you all the success and happiness in the world!

Love YOU. I have dear friend who moved BACK to Russia, so she tell me all the time about how things are different from America milk comes in a bag?
I like seeing the stores, watching you cook things, love the summer place....you could do a whole summer blog growing, cooking, preserving. And just hanging out. Also the utube hit channel in azerbyjan, they never talk, duo them or feature something they made... and talk more in depth about what they are making? Making tea from bushes and shrubs lol I always want to know what they making tea from, make a tea from your yard and talk about it. Also, I always joke w my friend and ask if she has compote drink in her fridge, always asking her about compote drink...make one a month for us :) seasonal compotes.
Also we laugh because my friend grow up in USA, and so she says sometimes Russians think she is so strange, because she smiles all the time and is so nice. I told her about your video in the park smiling at people like a video game, we laughed and laughed.
One last idea, since you do not have a lot of American or mexican food, maybe try some copycat recipies.....so you make American fast foods or restraunt foods :) mexican food is so good. My friend says there is none there so Russian makes American mexican food and tries for first time :)
Oh and my friend daughter dresses up at school in traditional dress and they all sing, so cute....and she says Russian love a flower head dress....and flowers period but those head bands of flowers so cool...you could talk about them and maybe make one if you have access to flowers
And so many malls, with so many activities for kids, crazy how many cool things for kids.
And healthcare....how it's free or but if you want better care or to be seen sooner if you pay more
I have my own personal xenia , but it still learn from you and talk to her about you and what you said :)

The content that would make me happiest watching is the content you enjoy making! ❤
I only started watching a few months ago - I initially was searching for information on Russian life that I won't find on the American news channels and I continued watching because I have enjoyed getting to know you as a "regular Russian" yes, but more importantly, because I have enjoyed getting to know you as an INTERESTING HUMAN BEING. I am interested in what interests you.
I very much enjoy content about culture, traditions, food, shopping, music, etc. but I won't enjoy it if I know you do not enjoy making it. I'm a big believer in the idea that "if the creator loves it, the viewer will too."
I don't hold you, or any regular citizen of Russia, responsible for the decisions made by your government and I am able to separate your content from the actions of Putin. I think there are ways to embrace your country and make content that shows off all of it's wonders to the world without appearing blind to the events in Ukraine. I think the viewers can tell you love your country but don't always love the decisions made by your leaders - and that is personally all I need to know - the rest of it is personal and none of my business. I don't think you should feel guilty showing the world the parts of your country you are proud of, but I am not you. If that content makes you uncomfortable I respect that and don't want you making content that makes you feel that way.
I will watch your channel and enjoy your content no matter what you decide because I am here to learn about you - not just about Russia. If you enjoy making the video, I am confident I will enjoy watching it! 🥰

Ksenia, I very much enjoy your videos about your life in Russia. As a Canadian, I realize that ordinary people living ordinary lives in whatever country show all of us how much we share in common. Tell us more about your culture -- and some history as well. Nothing is trivial and everything is interesting as told by you! Take a breather for a bit for some reflection. I'm sure that meditation will help with that. I follow a number of vloggers around the world because I'm interested in learning about ordinary people's lives. As for your future plans, make decisions when you are in a peaceful frame of mind and not suffering from stress. Wherever you go, you will bring some joy and light to those who meet you.

    So more power to her.
What I would like, especially linked to places like St. Petersburg, is history (buildings, institutions, palaces, Aurora, bridges, its role as a capital, influences from other places invited by Peter the Great, the siege, gardens, suburbs, different centuries …).
Surely history is in between culture and politics (i.e. potrntially dangerous), but if treated with caution really interesting

I'm interested in you. A young professional woman living in difficult circumstances. I want to know about everywhere you've ever traveled. Where you grew up. What is the relocation process you're waiting on? Who are your favorite creators?
If you visited certain countries, what are the things you would most like to see/do/try?

Oh, I hope you will be able to relocate during summer. It must be so frustrating to just wait and wait. Bulgaria would give so many new topics - there is a pink lake there, Lake Atanasovsko, I wish you can go there and make a video on that place. I totally understand your feelings about Russia now, as well. Maybe a good video-idea would be the relocation-process itself - how it works there, what is the procedure like, how you are proceeding with all this, what your new place will be like, exploring Bulgarian cuisine and cooking yummy Bulgarian dishes as long as you need to wait - getting tuned on Bulgaria. :)

As an Economist _- who once traveled across Russia - I’d suggest the following.
Tell us how the quality / the service level of products ‘ and price reasonableness and the volume supplied have or are changing since two years ago.
Are Iran and Chinese products substituted for now harder to get (but not impossible if you pay enough and find the retail merchants who can by pass sanction supply chains ) COMPARE to the quality and prices you paid back in late 2021.
Assume that normal global inflation over the last two years averaged maybe about 5% to 6% each of the two years.
How much higher are equivalent quality goods today mid year 2023 then in 2021? If higher than say about 12%, that difference suggests a consumer impact on affordability. To the upper middle class and rich class, that difference might be shrugged off. But for others, it will hurt. Which broad products supply and price/quality differences seem to matter to the Russian consumer. That might require some interviews.
What percent of the market segment by commodity type seem to have one to bags with purchases. Versus what you saw in 2021?
How many sales people are on the store market floor to help buyers versus in 2021.
What estimated percent of sales store fronts are closed versus what your eye saw in 2021?
    Cheers! Jim

I can only speak for myself, but I imagine what people really want is to learn about the *real* Russia. The actions taken by her politicians aren't those of the people, any more than they are for the next nation. Thanks to the Soviet-era 'cold war', people in the west learned so little about Russia. Which is a crying shame when it's a nation(s) with such a rich and varied history and cultures. Hopefully one day you'll feel comfortable sharing more of it with us.

I started watching your channel to see how the people of Russia are doing since the end of the Soviet Union. I like seeing what you do and how you survive as a single woman in Russia. I love the travel, the cooking, how you celebrate your holidays. I loved all of the pre-conflict content and how you got your apartment and your mom and all of it. I don’t want to see you talking about politics. In fact, those are the videos I do not watch. I can watch the news or other people who like to talk about such things. As an American liberal who has had to endure the changes in my country and watch as rights are stripped away from people here in America, I’m over it. I watch your videos when you talk about your life. I understand the negative side of things but I sure don’t want to waste my time by hearing a strong, resilient woman like yourself rehashing the days events. Just be you.
Having grown up watching the Vietnam war on TV at dinner time, I sure don’t want to hear yet another UA-camr complaining about how bad things are. I know they are bad as most of us do. But how do you, Ksenia, find light and happiness in a world gone mad. What brings you joy. What do you want us to know about the best of the Russian people. If you want to start another channel or endeavor where you talk about meditation and metaphysics, go ahead but I hope you don’t do it here. I had such a business for years teaching Reiki and all that you are most likely discovering but it was just a part of my life. I had also a full time job selling to businesses all over the world and my life and hobbies were another part of my life. So my hope is that you go back to talking about your life and quit thinking that you have an obligation to explain the political aspects of your country to us. You don’t.
    Be well, my friend.

Hello Ksenia! I love your videos as they are not about political topics or other things like that. Your channel is very nice as it shows us your real life in Russia: your wonderful recipes, speaking about everything not concerned with politics... Well your channel is amazing for that. You should follow your istincts to create content that you like best and we will follow you anyway. You are such a beautiful person and we love your videos so much. Congrats for your course. Thank you very much and take care.

I think you should make content on your life in Russia, wheter it be cooking or traveling or issues that face your daily life. I am interested in the life and interests of an average person living in St Petersburg. I like your point of view and just want to watch videos that interest you. Your are competing with numerous other UA-camrs, but there is only one you.

You could talk about what's going on in your daily life, topics that you're hearing on the news, opinions that you're hearing from the people you encounter in your life. Do whatever you feel up to doing, I'm sure it'll be great, as usual!

I love your Russian and soviet cooking videos ❤ also, I do enjoy the ones where you go into nature, like the foraging video.
Maybe you could also talk some more about Russian literature, or art, films, for people who are studying Russian. I do understand it's a strange time to be discussing Russian culture as if nothing is happening. But I love your videos no matter what ❤ x
Ooo if you want to do any meditation type videos that would be great (although I think maybe that's good to save for paying customers perhaps ?)

Well, reading a lot of these comments should give you some good ideas on what to do ... use them all ‼️ It will probably keep you going for a year or perhaps two 🤣
I would like to see another video update on your Brother's Dacha, has he done any improvements, his work, or whatever he does. Your cooking is always interesting too. I would also like to know about how Russians socialize - do they (or you) go out in the evening to say dancing, singing, music club, bowling, or whatever else there is ... how do people meet socially ❓
I love your walk and talk, the riverside is a lovely area, and it's just nice to see where you are round and about you. What about seeing you do a weekly food shop, and how much it will cost and how long the food lasts. Oh, there is SO much you can tell us, and we are very keen to see/hear all about it. Stay safe 🙏💜💚

I think all your viewers understand your position as a content creator in Russia these days and that if you don't speak about the 'situation' that it does not mean that you do not have opinions on it.
You could show us some of your favorite places in St Petersburg or nearby. No one would feel you were ignoring other things by doing that. Doing that might be a break for you from the stress of planning what you will do about going to Bulgaria, your apartment etc etc.
Congratulations on soon completing your meditation course..

Dear Xenia, you are doing just fine. You have almost 30K subscribers and we all love you , this is why we are here watching you. If I were you, I would not go into politics . I understand your moral dilemma , but there are many other things to talk about. You can talk about the Dating customs in Russia, what are the Russian local dating sites , pros and cons ? You can talk and maybe interview Foreign university students about their social and academic experiences. What visas and funding they need ? Maybe you can talk about the requirements from Russians trying to study abroad or immigrate. What are the funds and documents they need. What countries are still accepting them ? You are wonderful, just keep doing the good work that you do. Good luck.

I enjoy your live streams, both the cooking and the conversation. Perhaps more cooking or culinary videos. I live in an area of the US with a large "Eastern Bloc" population, yet I know surprisingly little about "your" cuisine. Heck, I don't even know what (or if) there is a "typical" Russian breakfast. What are things you eat too often? What are some things you've never tried?
And, it doesn't hurt that food videos tend to do very well on UA-cam. You could mix it up with some ASMR sometimes, monologue sometimes, live stream conversations sometimes.

Hi Ksenia, I used to watch your videos and then went on a long Xmas vacation, when I came back I was sad to see you had not uploaded a video showing your Xmas celebrations (maybe you couldn't have any?). And from around that time it seemed to me that all videos were related to political information, and honestly I liked to watch your channel to relax and see your daily life.
Let me tell you how I perceive you/why I like you, so maybe you get an angle of the videos some of us like: I see you as a brave, creative, independent woman with a big heart. You have been so strong when life threw curve balls at you, also you are really nice to your family/mom. You are younger than me and already bought an apartment, wow! And now you are moving to another country on your own (super wow, I've done the same and really relate). So I really admire you for being a strong, independent woman, yet you have a kind heart and have high empathy.
So I just really enjoy watching a woman like you go out there and survive and make it in this world...videos related to that (and not politics) are what I really enjoy. Another thing, I'm trying to lose weight and you have mentioned the same sometimes, so I would also love videos related to that...successes, tricks, losses/failures :)

Ksenia, just tell your own story. You don't have to be an apologist , advocate or reporter. What are you doing? What are you focused on? What is your honest journey like now? What's happening with your job? Do you like your job? Hate it? Why? What's the talk like around the water cooler? Write a book about these times, and share your creative journey. The "Special Military Operation " doesn't define you. You define you. I want to experience the Lady who happens to be Russian living in the country that happens to be in a struggle.

I think you should talk about what you feel comfortable with, from any point of view. That being said, as you asked for suggestions, what about talking a bit about Belarus and its culture, compared to Russia? Not politics, but daily life and basic differences. I feel that it is a little understood topic and your perspective, having lived in both, would be very insightful.
Also your videos on real estate were very interesting. Could you talk also about how a typical family handles its finances in Russia? I understand that personal debt is very widespread and common for purchases that people elsewhere wouldn't commonly use it for. Or maybe it's just a misconception...

I understand your frustration. Even as an American I am frustrated with the direction Russia has gone. Russia was finally coming into the world. I was actually thinking a Vacation in Russia sounded like a cool learning experience.
Now all that is gone. Russia has gone backwards 30 years. I don't think I will ever get to Russia in my lifetime at this point. I just dont think its going to be safe for American or even British citizens to enter the country for a long time.
I like History. I find soviet history interesting and something I really don't know much about. They were hidden behind the iron curtain for years and everything was hidden. There are other channels doing what life was like under the USSR, I find them interesting........ maybe try to do some history related items?
I dont think even most Westerners grasp how dangerous of a situation Ukraine is and how it could reach out and effect all of us. Its still escalating and my predictions at the beginning are coming true. They said only monetary help, then they said only ammo, then they said only artillery, then they said only short range missiles,................. well....... we are now at the point where we are providing long range missiles and fighter aircraft. If this conflict does not end its only a matter of time before its warm bodies that the west will have to provide. That is the next step and I have a son that just went into the Marines. The beating of the war drums is getting louder and its being beat by people (on both sides) who dont have any skin in the game.
Go get a hug from your loved ones and keep your family close. Lets hope for a peaceful end to this war soon.

And they travel all around the US and other places discovering interesting places to visit like museums, art displays and just nice small towns. Places of natural beauty are shown too.
