Seamus, I came back to the Catholic Church 2 years ago, after a lifetime of sin, including many very grave mortal sins, that I was not eager to confess. My lifestyle was one of living on the margins for many of those years and I found it difficult to believe that I could be forgiven. What was truly touching to me was that the Church welcomed me back with open arms. And I was welcome because I was I came back as a penitent sinner, not as someone looking to have my sinful lifestyle minimised or overlooked. If I had had that attitude, then I wouldn't expect anything less than the priest to correct me. Whether one is homosexual, a prostitute, a mafia hitman, or an addict like me, the Catholic Church has never closed it's doors to a repentent sinner. Heaven rejoices over every truly repentent sinner, scripture tells us so in the story of the prodigal son. So I honestly don't understand your grievance Seamus. Bishops, priests and bloggers have simply said that there's nothing ambiguous about sin, whether it's a gay couple or an unmarried couple, and they believe to bless such couples is creating grey out of black and white. You speak of heresy, yet don't elaborate as to exactly what you view as heresy, but clearly the African bishops are fully aware of the potential for heresy by blessing same sex couples. Please be more specific about what you mean.
Pastoral blessings are for everyone, try Our lady is upset about the ambiguous political games clergy are playing regarding it. Blessings are for everyone, try it’s a political circus that’s created taking away Jesus right to bless anyone. It’s a basic blessing that the pope wishes to use to allow grace to enter souls lives to allow growth for them to become holy! Basically!
@@seamusOneill43medj A blessing is available and has always been available for individuals. By presenting themselves as a same sex couples, same sex coupling is implicitly seeking validation, when it is a sinful union, just like an unmarried couple is. You are not your sexual orientation, any more than I'm my craving for a substance. I am a child of God, as are you, and we are here to serve God, not our sinful past identities.
@@seamusOneill43medj I know, I saw your interview with Tom months ago. I think it is a truly great thing that you use your life experience to bring people to Christ, especially those who, like me, felt unredeemable and unworthy.
Delighted for you Seamus. ♥
God bless you brother keep up the good work. Save souls for Jesus.
Fight the good fight Seamas and I love your singing God Blessed you with some fine lungs and a good ear.

@@gurnstein yes but there is still resistance to the margins that’s why God has called me to proclaim the gospel to them he sees the need!
