The ultimate unanswerable question. What am I. I not only don't know, I can never know. I am part of everything, so it is impossible to step outside of everything to see myself. That is the intellectual answer. The realisation of it is freedom/magic. And your pointings will lead people there if they can hear the message. ; o )
Helpful, thank you. In your various lists of keys to awakening, Inquiry seems to come up as the weakest link for me. But I keep going back to it, because while I’m more drawn to surrender, or feeling into the sensations in the body, I’m also aware that those sensations are perpetuated by the thoughts that underlie them. Thanks for the encouragement to keep looking into this. Funny, I don’t balk as much at emotional discomfort, but I find more aversion when it comes to inquiry into thoughts. 🙏🤨
I've had some determination spring up to not think when I dont need to. It's interesting seeing the body/mind tense up and get anxious when I try to do this.
Yes it’s interesting but quite true that when it comes to what we’re talking about, fixed teachings tend to lose potency as they become coopted by thought structures. Thanks for stopping by :)
I'm left with clarity, where even "clarity" is a description. Almost feels like a centerless center, or an spaceless space, and even that description doesn't hold.
I common thing i find happening to me during or after inquiry is a burst of emotion accompanied by crying. Not necessarily unpleasant or painful it just comes through out of the blue
Yes I think this is reasonably common. It’s a good sign you’re moving beyond conceptual frameworks that are often in place to prevent direct experience of emotion. Not that we ever specifically chose to do that :) Thx for your comment :)
Veritable, I like to differentiate between random thoughts and deliberate thinking. Let random thoughts to simply flow by; allowing more focused attention to matters than require addressing. Peace.
yes exactly (comment below). There aren't many layers holding the structure together actually if you finally decide to penetrate fully. However you only need to unconsciously believe one to reidentify in those moments :)

keep at it you might be surprised that even the beliefs that it is hard to do turn out to be thought structures.
As always, thank you very much.
It's almost ridiculous how much the same thing, said different ways, can help one in the path.

@@SimplyAlwaysAwake Thought structures = agents 😱
Well said, Felipe…

Beautiful. I’d suggest “just stay there” but how could you not?
When I ask ...who am I? Right away all that comes up is...I don't know...there are no other thoughts except that phrase
Ok, when you affirm that “I don’t know” is a thought, then what are you left with?

No thoughts just vibes 😅😂😁🥴
So appreciate this help.
Welcome!
Through this journey do you find that people think much less in their day to day life as they become more awake?
yes, though after awakening you become more aware of thoughts as you disidentify from them. For a while.
Veritable, I like to differentiate between random thoughts and deliberate thinking. Let random thoughts to simply flow by; allowing more focused attention to matters than require addressing. Peace.
What is "I" .
😉
Gaaa… I get stuck here a lot!
Which is another thought…
