  • Świętuj z nami Światowy Dzień Baletu! Polski Balet Narodowy pokaże przygotowania do najbliższej premiery - „Giselle”.

Your host, corps dancer Remy Lamping, will talk to Maina Gielgud, the legendary British ballerina, who was invited to stage her version of this iconic ballet in the Western tradition with the Warsaw company; as well as Natalia Pasiut, who will dance Myrtha, the Queen of the Wilis. We will also take a glance into rehearsal rooms to see three different fragments from "Giselle" performed by Chinara Alizade and Vladimir Yaroshenko; the Willis, or the female part of the corps de ballet; and Mai Kageyama and Patryk Walczak.

I was very impressed with last couple doing final of Gisselle. She was so serene and mysterious where he was dynamic when he needed too.

We love you! I owe my whole ballet life to this venerable and historic company. My beloved teachers, Irina Kolpakova and Nina and Edmund Novak, were members of your company in World War II at your amazing Wielki Opera House. The company was very heroic during that time. They were students of the great Leon Wojikowski. Thank you for giving me a life in dance and congratulations on still being such a noble and talented company of the highest quality. And it is so wonderful to see the brilliant Maina Gielgud, as beautiful as ever! Bravo and thanks for making it possible to see you again.

Leon W's daughter Sonya was one of my Character Dance teachers in NYC, along with Yurek Lazowski, another Pole, for many years, when he was teaching in NYC at The HS of Performing Arts , and The School of Ballet Repertory, throughout the late 1950's and through the 1960's. Mr Lazowsky was my favorite of many, many, in NYC, in those years. He was a really marvelous teacher.
