Ehhh I already played the old maps to death I'm ready for new one so og lasting a month is enough time for me. Besides I'm more excited to get into chapter 6 as soon as possible because the servey skins point to the possibility that it's Japanese theme which is my favorite type of theme in gaming also there so many skins I wanna get when those servey skins drop. It's just "sigh" going back to older maps that I already know and already played in the past just doesn't excite as much as the unknown of further new islands.

First of all I 100% agree that Chapter 1 is more popular (because that's just a fact, doesn't matter whether I agree or not) and more loved, but I still enjoyed Chapter 2. Also, when you said Chapter 1 was a "snoozefest", that's kind of the point. I like the simplicity, all the goofy shit from the new seasons just makes the game too crazy and wild to enjoy. And it's not just me, that's a huge reason of why chapter 1 is so loved, *because* it was simple.
@@BumbulousGrump we had biomes every season, but they were removed and replaced with some trash poi. POI's like dirty docks, craggy cliffs, pleasant park, retail, lazy lake, weeping woods, and more, didn't have any changes at all.
the mountain where midas is sailing to on the c5 map, is the same mountain as c2, so c2 is on the other side of the mountain, both islands are right next to each other.
@therealbarackobama3946 if they are gonna split chapter 2 in two halves ( C2S1 - C2S3) and (C2S5 - C2S8) to have each a season OG it wouldn't make sense. If that isn't the case and Chapter 3 OG is gonna be next it wouldn't make sense either since it's way too early.
The more chapters they revisit, the less the "OG" term fits. I feel like it should be called something else like "Flashback" or whatever. I doubt in 2025 they'll do chapter 3... they'd probably either do Chapter 1 again or will just not do it in 2025 because OG chapter 2 will get less players than chapter 1
I really think they got the wrong Idea after seeing the success of Season OG. They seem to be treating it as this nostalgia vat that they can rip old seasons out of when it comes time to promote the new chapter. What they should have gathered from it were the things that worked about it to apply to future seasons/chapters. We have yet to see a perfect chapter and if Epic actually took some old features or aspects and applied to new chapters while keeping the newer features that are superior It would be significantly easier for a larger audience to identify with the game and stick around. In terms of my preference for an older map remake I am personally very interested to see the chapter 2 map again as I view it as a better base map than say the ch1 s5 map. That being said Ch 2 was not nearly as popular in my friend group so I would rather play another ch1 remake.
The one thing I think chapter 2 OG could do to absolutely cook that would never happen, Is to do a flipped event again at the end and reveal the chapter 3 map reimagined and have chapter 6 start there.
I’d love to see epic do this! I’ve always thought chapter three was the best blend of cartoony graphics and realism in Fortnite, so if they’re gonna go back on these realism changes I think this is their best shot.
It’s extremely stupid that they’re not doing 7 and 8 when thats when ch2 loot pool started to feel fresh. For most of ch2 it was pump (sometimes charge or lever) ,scar,heals, Launchpad. Suddenly s7 and 8 came in with the railgun, Recon scanner, combat rifle, armored wall, shockwave launcher (as chest loot). I can’t understand the decision to have 3 seasons which feature weapons that are mostly from the first chapter.
To be fair, it's more of a concept. You can see in the C5S3 portion of the timeline, the concept art has several differences compared to what actually came in.
Chapter 2 was wack. It'll probably make a lot of people come back at first but there is just no way they are going to do another season like this in the future. Doing chapter 2 is already not og anymore
It was such a struggle to get my og squad to get on og Fortnite when chapter 1 came out, but when they finally came around they enjoyed it. I feel like this time it’s going to be even harder to get them to come back and I don’t think they even will come back since it’s not chapter 1.
Honestly, i mainly wanna see what skins will be in the og pass because while a season will change and maps switch, come and go, cosmetics won't leave a players locker so easily. I remember epic games tweeted about the OG season of fortnite saying that they were really supprised on how well it performed and maybe dropping a game mode as the orginial og fortnite with old png images for guns basically a copy and paste of the old fortnite we all loved.
I hope they bring back all Chapter 2 seasons because some people didn’t get to play them, and Fortnite basically has its ways with bringing back old collabs

i think fortnite has so much that they can do but they just don't, like i wish they would make the diffrent chapters and seasons as gamemodes and also make events gamemodes too if they would do that i think fortnite would be like the top 1 game again and also they should bring new updates to save the world. one interesting thing they could do for chapter 2 og, is instead of starting with the season 1 map and changing it over time, they could make one map that basically combines all the chapter 2 map changes into one map it would bring a unique twist to the season while giving an interesting and chaotic version of the chapter 2 map that we have never seen this idea would also not have an issue from making it work with collabs because they could just not include the collab stuff chapter 2 often undid map changes after a season anyway and most of the map stayed the same, the whole base map also doesnt have much biome variety, so it would be a lot more interesting if they did this

Primal was my favorite Season in Chapter 2. Idk if it was the ability to craft weapons and change them in the middle of a match or the fact that me and my homie came back to the game and played all the time and not once did we rage quit and get pissed and we only had fun.
I’m pleasantly surprised by the fact that people have loved reload so far. I thought there was gonna be loads of people complaining about how “it’s weird” and “not the real OG map”, so it’s nice to see everyone be obsessed with it. (also it gives lego fortnite xp we are so back)
We had the Season X rocket launch as sort of the anchor point for Fortnite OG, so I think it would be a missed opportunity to not get the Cube Queen and stuff involved again in Chapter 2 OG. We also still have the Cubes Cradle we didn't see anything of again since that live event. I am kinda hoping they'll use Chapter 2 OG to get that into the story again.
I'm sure Chapter 2 OG will have more seasons in it. They probably only showed Seasons 1-3 in there because they didn't have enough space to fit any other ones or it was just a placeholder. And I'm sure Epic will figure out a way to get the collab stuff back in the game.

Considering Megla Don was leaked via the roadmap, despite it's differences to the Season, the road map is definitely real. However what may be planned is probably 80%-ish confirmed. Stuff can change in the time, and sometimes even for the worst. Disney could do something and then Pirates could be a no-go all of a sudden and that part of the roadmap is GONE, however that case, while still plausible, is unlikely. Due to the roadmap being made there's stuff in the works months before it's initial release, whether in the concept stage, or modeling/rigging/animating stage and what not. So it's safe to say little stuff will be cut from this road map, but the Rocket Racing season being delayed is a confirmation of the "worst" change, though on a lesser scale. Which means the roadmap is 100% likely to be different as the months go by up until Chapter 6, but by what small changes there is to be, we don't know.
well there is another problem with it being Chapter 2..... Chapter 2 got overwritten by Chapter 5 in the timeline, remember what OG Fortnite did with the time machine exploding from the meteor? yeah. that affected space and time and changed the timeline. Chapter 5 and Chapter 2 take place in the same place in time but Chapter 2, 3, and 4 have effectively never happened. meaning we are literally back to square 2 with the story between the IO and the Seven regardless how much they ignore it with this new story that is mid. and quite frankly i'm extremely pissed off i kept up with a consistently updating story for 5 years for it to not ONLY be pretty much retconned but also having the loose end cut off. this is what happens when corporate greed overrides the creative process and it's what made Donald Mustard leave fuck you Epic. no one cares about the new guy directing the story and his connections with the Marvel movies because i plot about a banana getting kidnapped by rich people which one of them accidentally summons greek mythology gods is not what the hell i spent years of my time following just to have the end teased over and over and then completely kill off the characters and then BRING THEM BACK WITH TIME TRAVEL AND THEN COMPLETELY IGNORE IT

None of it got retconned lol? No idea where you got that from. The Omniverse was dying in Chapter 4, as told by Optimus Prime, and now also told by the npcs on the map currently. The purpose of OG in the storyline was to use the Big bang caused by the black hole to bring life back to a dying Omniverse back to the present. That's why the rocket had the time machine attached to it. For someone who supposedly "Kept up with a consistently updated story for 5 years." You sure don't know anything about it, lmfao. Also, Donald didn't leave because of "corporate greed" or whatever you said, he left simply because he wanted to move on to greater things. Sure, his vision being SLIGHTLY lost could be a factor to that, but he said that crystal clear in the interview. And for someone who apparently, again, "Kept up with a consistently updated story for 5 years.". You sure aren't "keeping up" enough to see how much potential the current storyline holds, especially since it's the new guy's first shot at it. With all the game modes being added, all i want is them to make the OG seasons (3 on) a permanant gamemode. Could make it similar to the gamemode back in november, or something different. At least then youd have a calmer version of the game
Im not sure I would even complain getting a month of chapter 1 every year. But what I really want is an OG game mode like zero build. I mean realistically if they scrapped all of the collabs from each season and just made a separate mode for each chapter with faithful recreations of all of the maps. Thinking about it more, they could also just rotate those maps and weapons weekly and it would almost feel like LTMs again.
What’s important to know about Fortnite OG is that Epic didn’t add this because the community requested it. As seen for the past few years, Fortnite most of the time never listens to their community. They added Fortnite OG as part of the Storyline. We ended up in Fortnite OG through the time machine. Fortnite’s play record skyrocketed during Fortnite OG and it would make sense for Epic to bring back Fortnite OG for the money and records. But they’re adding the Chapter 2 Map and seasons. Lots of people prefer the Chapter 1 map and seasons for the nostalgia. Chapter 2 didn’t hit the same during it’s time and lots of people have uploaded videos on why Chapter 2 being the idea for Fortnite OG doesn’t make sense. Again, Fortnite broke lots of records during Fortnite OG so it would make sense to redo the event but Fortnite is trying to focus more on the storyline rather than the money and records.
Here's my thoughts. Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 each have their own pros and cons, as much as I would love to see chapter 1 again, there are a lot of opportunity within chapter 2 as well that they could tap into. I was personally thinking, what about a fusion between both? Iconic locations from both maps, New and Old weapons/items. Remember when the first OG season happened and we had the chapter 2 models and graphics in the chapter 1 map? Lets flip it! Chapter 1 model and graphics on the chapter 2 map! That way we can still have something fresh and rounded for players, while still slightly appealing to Chapter 1 OG. This is at least what I'm hoping for, but let me know what you think.
I guess maybe if they made a full map of chapter one it would attract more people because its "more favorited". But I think they should wait atleast one more year so it feels more magical. I would be so happy to see chapter 2 because even though some seasons weren't that good in some peoples opinions, I think there is some sort of magic in every map. ❤
I don’t think people realise we love OG Fortnite because of the simplicity of it. For the first 9 seasons we had simple but good poi changes, subtle changes in the loot pool with weapons cycling in and out every few seasons and the game stuck to the concept of a third person shooter battle Royale with a twist. Nowadays we have a complete revamp of the loot pool every season, the poi’s are forgettable and the game is straying from what made it stand out in the first place. The last season felt more like a fortnite mod for GTA. Devs need to realise that often times, less is more. I agree that games need to change in order to grow, but changing things so often that you have to relearn game mechanics every 2-3 months destroys the game for me. Chapter 1 never really had any misses for me except for the last season. We got interesting takes on poi’s such as neo tilted and Tilted town, and the mechanics were mostly the same throughout the chapter, allowing for people to improve and enjoy the game even more in doing so. It feels like everything Fortnite has been doing in the last few years has just been to appeal to corporate. Everything just feels like a cash grab and there is evidence of a lack of passion within the devs with each passing season. It feels as if they aren’t confident in their ability and thus resort to constant collabs and questionable decisions. All they need to do to fix the game is start fresh and start listening to the community. I would rather have a new map designer by devs who are confident in their abilities and a simple and balanced loot pool over a chapter 2 reboot. Chapter 4 started out well and I actually enjoyed that first season, but then they started making too many changes in a short time frame which resulted in poor player counts. Same story with Chapter 5. The first season was good, they introduced a new take on mythics with the medallions and it felt like they were actually going to start listening to us again and make a good game, until they felt the need to overcomplicate things which again resulted in two of the most forgettable seasons and poor player counts. The last season had a lower average player count than Xdefiant, which was predicted to be a massive flop, but I think the reason Xdefiant has been such a success is simply due to the fact that the devs have earned trust within the community by listening to the players. All epic needs to do is start fresh and listen to the people who made the game as successful as it is. Majority of Fortnite players simply don’t play anymore and this was proven when they hit their all time player peak in the OG season. Listening to the community will guarantee success.
@@not1lord1234 Got boring by day 5. It’s a good gamemode, no doubt, but there are some flaws. There’s no form of skill based matchmaking, which forces me to fight FNCS players, and it just feels repetitive. Also, no trios and solos is kinda dumb.
I’m part of the people who want chapter 2 back, it was the best chapter in my opinion because of the marvel season and the spy season, the weapons hopefully will be brought back, but pleas epic don’t keep the new features in when you do it, it doesn’t make it fun.
chapter two will probably appeal to a broader playerbase as (not sure if its still peak playerbase because OG was MASSIVE) its peak in august 2020 during covid was chapter 2 season 2 (pretty sure season 3 had higher players at that time though)
I doing an og season each year is an interesting approach. It gives new players a chance go experience a little bit of the past and get skins that revisit older concepts. I do think the og name is gonna end up seeming weird if they keep doing it tho. Maybe something like throwback would be more appropriate
To me and many others, OG chapter 2 will only include seasons "1, 2, and 3" is meaningless. We'll most likely go into every season in chapter 2, OG, even if it's just a single map change, because the end event happened in chapter 2 season 8. Personally, I think they won't wrap it up with just three seasons because that wouldn't make sense. Furthermore, since the festival, rocket racing, and even Lego were already featured in the Big Bang, it is unlikely that they will be included in the chapter 2 finale.
I'm conflicted. I started playing in Chapter 1 Season 4, and while I was disappointed we didn't see Moisty or Dusty in OG, Lazy Links was one of my favorite drops of all time. I'd love to see the pre-meteor map recreated 100% faithfully with the UI and everything, but I'd also love to revisit chapter 2, as that's when I started to become a pretty decent player. It'd be so fun to revisit Lazy Lake, Steamy Stacks, Coral Castle, and all the other minor places I loved. It's hard to choose
They will definetly put Ch2S4 in it if we have a marvel season prior, as they will probably go back in time and have the galactus event as the "end" event of Chapter 2 OG, or at least that's what I speculate. That or it starts with the Device event doing something fucky and reseting the timeline or something. I really don't know lol
As someone who started in Chapter two, I do 100% agree that it will likely be less interesting than the first OG, but either way I’m hyped, while collabs will take away a decent chunk of the chapter, there are still lots of possibilities, like The Shark, The Fortilla, Boney Burbs, the Colluseum etc. there are a lot of interesting POIs and Bosses that could return and overall I think it will still make a great season

I personally didn't care for old Fortnite (I started playing in 2023 Chapter 4 Season 2, and I didn't care for OG Fortnite for that month) but if they do another Midas skin then I'd play for the battle pass.
as someone who played a shit ton of chapter 2, id love to see season 2 and 3 for sure. i think we can skip season 1 all together since it didnt have much going on (exept the whole map being covered in snow during the christmas event, which was really beautiful to look at). skip 4 to 6 and end the season with cubed, so it ends like it did in the first og, with the final event if that season.
I feel like I’m autistic but I’d love it if they had 1,2,3 or at least 2 and 3 for Chapter 3, they were pretty fun, but I will admit that they barely had any map changes. Season 5 seems the best for variety but it’s just all collabs and that probably won’t happen
Fortnite chaper 2 was the best. peak pandemic even with the huge dead streak in season 1 I loved grinding it and practicing. chapter 1 was great but chapter 2 will always hold a special place in my heart. Rainbow rentals best drop spot!
There some issues with both to be honest. Chapter 1 OG 2 would be bad on Epic’s part because it proves that they hastily put together the first one and we were basically on Chapter 1 not too long ago which was last Chapter. And Chapter 2 OG has way less to choose from because of collabs.
I miss Chapter 1 to Chapter 3. Those were the good times in quarantine where u could just hop on with the bois. Sadly, those times won’t come back, as the new seasons are just terrible. The only reasons I came back to play them was for the Avatar collab.

I’m excited for fortnite OG 2 because I never played during that chapter. I hope they rebuff the mythic weapons from season 2 to relflect how it was back then but I understand they have to keep things a little balanced so if they’re nerfed that’s fine.
I'd love if they brought back last year's OG Chapter 1 map and battle pass and make that permanent mode, and then make revisiting Chapter 2 and onward an actual season and call it "rewind" or something. Like you said, OG should be the roots of Fortnite.

I think ch2 s1-3 is a great lineup. I remember having a lot of fun those seasons and the other seasons that chapter were really dull to me. The first 3 seasons also felt a lot more unique to me being the first of their kind in a way.
I was hoping they'd mesh seasons together like they did for season OG, like get season 1 out of here, start in season 2, then flood the map and put some of the zero point sand there at the same time, then Have the Alien crap happening at the same time as the cube crap idk man C2 was a mess

@therealbarackobama3946 if they are gonna split chapter 2 in two halves ( C2S1 - C2S3) and (C2S5 - C2S8) to have each a season OG it wouldn't make sense. If that isn't the case and Chapter 3 OG is gonna be next it wouldn't make sense either since it's way too early.
The more chapters they revisit, the less the "OG" term fits. I feel like it should be called something else like "Flashback" or whatever. In a few years it could be OG Chapter 5 and that's just absurd.

My problem is the fact that if we timetravel to a past chapter every year and change what happens, things will get really confusing really fast.
I really think they got the wrong Idea after seeing the success of Season OG. They seem to be treating it as this nostalgia vat that they can rip old seasons out of when it comes time to promote the new chapter. What they should have gathered from it were the things that worked about it to apply to future seasons/chapters. We have yet to see a perfect chapter and if Epic actually took some old features or aspects and applied to new chapters while keeping the newer features that are superior It would be significantly easier for a larger audience to identify with the game and stick around.
In terms of my preference for an older map remake I am personally very interested to see the chapter 2 map again as I view it as a better base map than say the ch1 s5 map. That being said Ch 2 was not nearly as popular in my friend group so I would rather play another ch1 remake.

I’d love to see epic do this! I’ve always thought chapter three was the best blend of cartoony graphics and realism in Fortnite, so if they’re gonna go back on these realism changes I think this is their best shot.
It’s extremely stupid that they’re not doing 7 and 8 when thats when ch2 loot pool started to feel fresh. For most of ch2 it was pump (sometimes charge or lever) ,scar,heals, Launchpad. Suddenly s7 and 8 came in with the railgun, Recon scanner, combat rifle, armored wall, shockwave launcher (as chest loot). I can’t understand the decision to have 3 seasons which feature weapons that are mostly from the first chapter.
To be fair, it's more of a concept. You can see in the C5S3 portion of the timeline, the concept art has several differences compared to what actually came in.

It was such a struggle to get my og squad to get on og Fortnite when chapter 1 came out, but when they finally came around they enjoyed it. I feel like this time it’s going to be even harder to get them to come back and I don’t think they even will come back since it’s not chapter 1.
Honestly, i mainly wanna see what skins will be in the og pass because while a season will change and maps switch, come and go, cosmetics won't leave a players locker so easily. It'd be cool to see something like (my ideas for remix skins):
- Fusion Fade (Fusion and Fade remix)
- Ripped-Ley Meowscles (Rippley, Meowscles and kit remix)
- Came-Ocean (Cameo and Ocean remix)

one interesting thing they could do for chapter 2 og, is instead of starting with the season 1 map and changing it over time, they could make one map that basically combines all the chapter 2 map changes into one map
it would bring a unique twist to the season while giving an interesting and chaotic version of the chapter 2 map that we have never seen
this idea would also not have an issue from making it work with collabs because they could just not include the collab stuff
chapter 2 often undid map changes after a season anyway and most of the map stayed the same, the whole base map also doesnt have much biome variety, so it would be a lot more interesting if they did this

Primal was my favorite Season in Chapter 2. Idk if it was the ability to craft weapons and change them in the middle of a match or the fact that me and my homie came back to the game and played all the time and not once did we rage quit and get pissed and we only had fun.

I’m pleasantly surprised by the fact that people have loved reload so far. I thought there was gonna be loads of people complaining about how “it’s weird” and “not the real OG map”, so it’s nice to see everyone be obsessed with it.

We had the Season X rocket launch as sort of the anchor point for Fortnite OG, so I think it would be a missed opportunity to not get the Cube Queen and stuff involved again in Chapter 2 OG.
We also still have the Cubes Cradle we didn't see anything of again since that live event. I am kinda hoping they'll use Chapter 2 OG to get that into the story again.
I'm sure Chapter 2 OG will have more seasons in it. They probably only showed Seasons 1-3 in there because they didn't have enough space to fit any other ones or it was just a placeholder. And I'm sure Epic will figure out a way to get the collab stuff back in the game.

Considering Megla Don was leaked via the roadmap, despite it's differences to the Season, the road map is definitely real. However what may be planned is probably 80%-ish confirmed. Stuff can change in the time, and sometimes even for the worst. Disney could do something and then Pirates could be a no-go all of a sudden and that part of the roadmap is GONE, however that case, while still plausible, is unlikely. Due to the roadmap being made there's stuff in the works months before it's initial release, whether in the concept stage, or modeling/rigging/animating stage and what not. So it's safe to say little stuff will be cut from this road map, but the Rocket Racing season being delayed is a confirmation of the "worst" change, though on a lesser scale. Which means the roadmap is 100% likely to be different as the months go by up until Chapter 6, but by what small changes there is to be, we don't know.

well there is another problem with it being Chapter 2..... Chapter 2 got overwritten by Chapter 5 in the timeline, remember what OG Fortnite did with the time machine exploding from the meteor? yeah. that affected space and time and changed the timeline. Chapter 5 and Chapter 2 take place in the same place in time but Chapter 2, 3, and 4 have effectively never happened.
meaning we are literally back to square 2 with the story between the IO and the Seven regardless how much they ignore it with this new story that is mid. and quite frankly i'm extremely pissed off i kept up with a consistently updating story for 5 years for it to not ONLY be pretty much retconned but also having the loose end cut off. this is what happens when corporate greed overrides the creative process and it's what made Donald Mustard leave

None of it got retconned lol? No idea where you got that from. The Omniverse was dying in Chapter 4, as told by Optimus Prime, and now also told by the npcs on the map currently. The purpose of OG in the storyline was to use the Big bang caused by the black hole to bring life back to a dying Omniverse back to the present. That's why the rocket had the time machine attached to it. For someone who supposedly "Kept up with a consistently updated story for 5 years." You sure don't know anything about it, lmfao.
Also, Donald didn't leave because of "corporate greed" or whatever you said, he left simply because he wanted to move on to greater things. Sure, his vision being SLIGHTLY lost could be a factor to that, but he said that crystal clear in the interview. With all the game modes being added, all i want is them to make the OG seasons (3 on) a permanant gamemode. Could make it similar to the gamemode back in november, or something different. At least then youd have a calmer version of the game
Im not sure I would even complain getting a month of chapter 1 every year. But what I really want is an OG game mode like zero build. I mean realistically if they scrapped all of the collabs from each season and just made a separate mode for each chapter with faithful recreations of all of the maps. Thinking about it more, they could also just rotate those maps and weapons weekly and it would almost feel like LTMs again.
I think that while they only showed 3 seasons it still will be all 8 seasons, 2 seasons per week if it lasts 4 weeks again. Sounds good to me

What’s important to know about Fortnite OG is that Epic didn’t add this because the community requested it. As seen for the past few years, Fortnite most of the time never listens to their community. They added Fortnite OG as part of the Storyline. We ended up in Fortnite OG through the time machine. Fortnite’s play record skyrocketed during Fortnite OG and it would make sense for Epic to bring back Fortnite OG for the money and records. But they’re adding the Chapter 2 Map and seasons. Lots of people prefer the Chapter 1 map and seasons for the nostalgia. Chapter 2 didn’t hit the same during it’s time and lots of people have uploaded videos on why Chapter 2 being the idea for Fortnite OG doesn’t make sense. Again, Fortnite broke lots of records during Fortnite OG so it would make sense to redo the event but Fortnite is trying to focus more on the storyline rather than the money and records.

Just because it shows 3 of the seasons doesn't mean we aren't getting the rest. We will probably get to seasons grouped together every week.
Here's my thoughts. Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 each have their own pros and cons, as much as I would love to see chapter 1 again, there are a lot of opportunity within chapter 2 as well that they could tap into. I was personally thinking, what about a fusion between both? Iconic locations from both maps, New and Old weapons/items. Remember when the first OG season happened and we had the chapter 2 models and graphics in the chapter 1 map? Lets flip it! Chapter 1 model and graphics on the chapter 2 map! That way we can still have something fresh and rounded for players, while still slightly appealing to Chapter 1 OG. This is at least what I'm hoping for, but let me know what you think.
Then that roadmap got confirmed again by the announcement of avengers doomsday, and on that map season 4 will be a dr doom season

I don’t think people realise we love OG Fortnite because of the simplicity of it. For the first 9 seasons we had simple but good poi changes, subtle changes in the loot pool with weapons cycling in and out every few seasons and the game stuck to the concept of a third person shooter battle Royale with a twist. Nowadays we have a complete revamp of the loot pool every season, the poi’s are forgettable and the game is straying from what made it stand out in the first place. The last season felt more like a fortnite mod for GTA. Devs need to realise that often times, less is more. I agree that games need to change in order to grow, but changing things so often that you have to relearn game mechanics every 2-3 months destroys the game for me. Chapter 1 never really had any misses for me except for the last season. We got interesting takes on poi’s such as neo tilted and Tilted town, and the mechanics were mostly the same throughout the chapter, allowing for people to improve and enjoy the game even more in doing so. It feels like everything Fortnite has been doing in the last few years has just been to appeal to corporate. Everything just feels like a cash grab and there is evidence of a lack of passion within the devs with each passing season. It feels as if they aren’t confident in their ability and thus resort to constant collabs and questionable decisions. All they need to do to fix the game is start fresh and start listening to the community. I would rather have a new map designer by devs who are confident in their abilities and a simple and balanced loot pool over a chapter 2 reboot. Chapter 4 started out well and I actually enjoyed that first season, but then they started making too many changes in a short time frame which resulted in poor player counts. Same story with Chapter 5. The first season was good, they introduced a new take on mythics with the medallions and it felt like they were actually going to start listening to us again and make a good game, until they felt the need to overcomplicate things which again resulted in two of the most forgettable seasons and poor player counts. The last season had a lower average player count than Xdefiant, which was predicted to be a massive flop, but I think the reason Xdefiant has been such a success is simply due to the fact that the devs have earned trust within the community by listening to the players. All epic needs to do is start fresh and listen to the people who made the game as successful as it is. Majority of Fortnite players simply don’t play anymore and this was proven when they hit their all time player peak in the OG season. Listening to the community will guarantee success.

There’s no form of skill based matchmaking, which forces me to fight FNCS players, and it just feels repetitive. Also, no trios and solos is kinda dumb.
I’m part of the people who want chapter 2 back, it was the best chapter in my opinion because of the marvel season and the spy season, the weapons hopefully will be brought back, but pleas epic don’t keep the new features in when you do it, it doesn’t make it fun.
But the first 3 seasons were amazing and I’m sure they can pull it off to make it good.
Sprinting and Mantling are necessities at this point and we had it during the first OG, so we might get it back.
chapter two will probably appeal to a broader playerbase as (not sure if its still peak playerbase because OG was MASSIVE) its peak in august 2020 during covid was chapter 2 season 2 (pretty sure season 3 had higher players at that time though)

I doing an og season each year is an interesting approach. It gives new players a chance go experience a little bit of the past and get skins that revisit older concepts. I do think the og name is gonna end up seeming weird if they keep doing it tho. Maybe something like throwback would be more appropriate

To me and many others, OG chapter 2 will only include seasons "1, 2, and 3" is meaningless. We'll most likely go into every season in chapter 2, OG, even if it's just a single map change, because the end event happened in chapter 2 season 8. Personally, I think they won't wrap it up with just three seasons because that wouldn't make sense. Furthermore, since the festival, rocket racing, and even Lego were already featured in the Big Bang, it is unlikely that they will be included in the chapter 2 finale.
I'm conflicted. I started playing in Chapter 1 Season 4, and while I was disappointed we didn't see Moisty or Dusty in OG, Lazy Links was one of my favorite drops of all time. I'd love to see the pre-meteor map recreated 100% faithfully with the UI and everything, but I'd also love to revisit chapter 2, as that's when I started to become a pretty decent player. It'd be so fun to revisit Lazy Lake, Steamy Stacks, Coral Castle, and all the other minor places I loved. It's hard to choose
They will definetly put Ch2S4 in it if we have a marvel season prior, as they will probably go back in time and have the galactus event as the "end" event of Chapter 2 OG, or at least that's what I speculate.
That or it starts with the Device event doing something fucky and reseting the timeline or something. I really don't know lol

As someone who started in Chapter two, I do 100% agree that it will likely be less interesting than the first OG, but either way I’m hyped, while collabs will take away a decent chunk of the chapter, there are still lots of possibilities, like The Shark, The Fortilla, Boney Burbs, the Colluseum etc. there are a lot of interesting POIs and Bosses that could return and overall I think it will still make a great season

as someone who played a shit ton of chapter 2, id love to see season 2 and 3 for sure. i think we can skip season 1 all together since it didnt have much going on (exept the whole map being covered in snow during the christmas event, which was really beautiful to look at). skip 4 to 6 and end the season with cubed, so it ends like it did in the first og, with the final event if that season.

There some issues with both to be honest. Chapter 1 OG 2 would be bad on Epic’s part because it proves that they hastily put together the first one and we were basically on Chapter 1 not too long ago which was last Chapter.
And Chapter 2 OG has way less to choose from because of collabs.

I mean in my opinion I think it would be awesome if we had renditions of those seasons over the span of a few months, just like every other season, but they add some new stuff in to spice it up. But this is really just me hoping they put mech suits back in the game lol

This means I won’t get to play any of the OG seasons. I go boarding school so didn’t get to experience my opening seasons of fun chapter 1 as I was at boarding school for OG season 1. Now I won’t even be able to go back to the next best thing (which is nothing in comparison to C1). Why frickin November?

im more down for Chapter 2 map coming back, for me chapter 1 map during OG just wasn't exciting it didnt have the cool poi just the boring ones. as a person who likes learning about the past and has heard so much about chapter 1 and not much about chapter im more eager to go see its map more then anything. my one thing is that i hope its not like a another time-travel tie in like last time, they cant really just do that again.

honestly I love chapter 2 and so do all of my friends but if we get OG 2 then we need the whole thing
I think ch2 s1-3 is a great lineup. I remember having a lot of fun those seasons and the other seasons that chapter were really dull to me. The first 3 seasons also felt a lot more unique to me being the first of their kind in a way.
I was hoping they'd mesh seasons together like they did for season OG, like get season 1 out of here, start in season 2, then flood the map and put some of the zero point sand there at the same time, then Have the Alien crap happening at the same time as the cube crap idk man C2 was a mess
I wish Epic would make all the old seasons into creative maps. Even if you can't get the old skins again, playing on all the old maps would still be cool.
Imma keep it real, Fortnite OG should be a game mode or a separate game since at that point the game would have like 200 GB's if it was a game mode, you could just download it like a DLC in the Epic Store launcher...
But they wont do that since nobody would play the current chapters and seasons, speaking of the current ones, been playing Fortnite again since last December and this season (Marvel) is probably the worst one I've played in all those years, just straight up terrible...
