Very good explanation. I was logically expecting the mosfet to be turned on by something that was powered directly by the VIN from the DC jack but ChatGPT was trying to convince me that the BQ chip was powered by the B+ voltage which makes no sense.

may follow up question ako sir fred bakit on some board there are 4 mosfet sa highside at lowside? ganda sana may part 6 yung sa PWM
yung yung isang klase ng charging architecture yung nvdc yung 20v or 5v i boost ng 2 unang mosfet sa coil then yung next 2 mosfet naman eh regulate papuntang battery na agad
