Another great review of a stunning library. I love Solo Textures
For some reason, I'm not a fan of Heavyocity... They have a very particular sound, especially in Designer patches, across all their libraries. It kind of sounds the same. It's way too recognisable and the rhythmic patterns have the same feeling to them. It's just a bit too much for film scoring. Trailer music, perhaps. But for film, it's just too metallic/industrial and every patch feels like a "main character" with Heavyocity, no matter how much tou customize it. The UI is extremely confusing, especially when you're trying to figure out what triggers the rhythmic stuff: could be a sample itself.. could be a gate, or a step sequencer.... Or a macro...in the end, you spend way too much time trying to figure out how to change it or turn it off
