Franklin Mountains State Park - 1:20
Franklin Mountains State Park is the largest urban park in the nation. It covers about 40 square miles, all within the city limits of El Paso. The park's rugged terrain offers great hiking, biking and rock climbing. Visit for the day or camp overnight. Look for wildlife or bring a picnic.
Wardens on the Water - 6:53
Texas Game Wardens ensure the safety of park guests through vigilant patrols and education. They conduct regular checks on park visitors to ensure compliance with safety regulations, such as life jacket usage on waterways and adherence to park rules. With so many guests visiting parks for the first time, making sure they are properly prepared in case of an emergency is their top priority.
    Hands-On Habitat - 11:02
As reservoirs age, natural places for fish to find food and shelter can be lost. So crews in Northeast Texas are sinking some strange-looking structures and seeding native plants to improve things for fish and fishing.

How do we as conservationists work with developers to protect these precious areas? Texas is rapidly growing; we need solutions to ensure that the economic and ecological sectors of economy can coexist without disaster.

Well, that's a big question with a multitude of answers, but the short version is that we work with really great people like Chris Abernathy to negotiate conservation easements and work with stakeholders to protect wild spaces. Lot's of people like Chris are working on these issues. His story is just a good recent example ua-cam.com/video/z2wgSlgFUFQ/v-deo.htmlsi=uU7Qg6ZKSdZ-_XN4
