Before I retired I always began each day (in equipment maintenance) with plan A, Plan B, and plan C. Plan C being what I would do when all else went to Hell. Guess which plan I used the most.........
Repairing behind a whole crew dictated what headache I went home with. LOL Now I just begin the day with plan C.

They ain’t nothing wrong with a man that can create new cuss words. I created some the time my wife cut short pulling a trailer and snatched the fender and the front bumper off my truck. I totally lost it that day and ended up having to apologize to my wife because she was in tears. I totally blew my cool! Y’all have a good one!

Stephen Hunter he changed the pattern of the hoses. He didn’t put new hoses on the machine.

Very fortunate that you aren’t making an insurance claim now. Fire extinguishers are a must. This is nothing more than a bonding process between a man and his machine. At least the old Hitachi isn’t drowning in emissions garbage.
Wow nappa or any hose store should carry them. Standerd flat face on Hitachi nothing fancy. Very common fittings

I would assume all the hoses are about the same age, need to do what I did with my old 580B case, replace them all. They only break when you are using them, then you are in a big rush to change one at a time plus about 50 or 60 dollars worth of hydraulic oil lost with each hose.

I have watched every one of your videos. Running a excavator is something I always wanted to do. You definitely have to be on your toes all the time. Just retired at 61 ,so I won't be able to do it any time soon. Is he your brother? Real nice guy. Helpful as hell. Got friends in Hattiesburg. Friendly people. I blew a hose between the main valve body and the electric valve body while cleaning out a hedge row a quarter mile off of any road. They had to set the weight on the ground to get to it. It was a little over $1,000 for a 1 foot hose.

I come close 2 burning up a Timbco 425 buncher, a few years back. We have an old Hitachi 200-2. It has a 6 cylinder Isuzu. If lets dig has a 4 cyl they R getting more HP from less cubes, A.

Its always the longest and hardest to get to hose that blows.
Of course. And usually need to remove at least 6 others to get the blown one out.

All I can say is Tim your a good dude to help Chris. but what good are friends if you can't depend on them.
Damm this Company that was paving the parking lot at the Fire Dept I worked at had a Hydraulic hose let go and spray the damn screed.Thank God it was on the opposite side of where the Operator and helper that was on the platform, it sprayed those torches, lit off the other operator chair, and just engulfed the ground and the mix they had augered out.Had to fight fire in the parking lot, it lit off other hoses and it was a mess we used almost every Dry Chem we had in the Building on it, that Hydraulic fluid burns good especially under pressure.
Nothing like having a good friend to help you out of a jam!

Man I'm so glad his machine didn't burn to the ground,he didn't deserve that,when u work ur ass off 6-7 days a week and then do side hustle work,it's funny now but glad it turned out the way it did and u were able to give him a hand.
The 45° fitting that is on the short hose the one that has a split flange on it when you energize that hose that fitting moved (perhaps bent the tube) a little bit. The 45° fitting could bend if it’s not supported properly and very well. Keep an eye on it if that short tube the 45° one work hardens it will split//crack.

This is the six cylinder which is by far the better engine compared to the 4 cylinder when it comes to fuel economy. But the 4 cylinder (or ZX 200) actually has more power. This is the same as a EX 200.
