This Knicks team was so good. We traded away guys who were good pieces like Steve Novak who is one of the few players that complimented Melo very nicely. Letting Chris Copland go too was a mistake because he was a good shooter. I think he averaged like 18 a game this series. Knicks thought that if they just kept the starting lineup they'd be the same. No knowing that the bench made this team. Typical Knicks
If Stoudemire was healthy that entire season, Melo never would've taken the physical beating that he did against that tough Pacer interior. Stoudemire wouldve provided reliable second scoring for melo, which he didnt have and they lost in 6. the Knicks wouldve taken that series in 6 or 7
This game was played on May 16, 2013, and on April 30, 2023, the Knicks can finally get to play second-round playoff basketball in front of the Garden faithful once again.
MSG was rockin' during this season. Sadly, this was also the last season the Knicks were really good. Haven't made it back to the playoffs since this season. ON PAPER, this team was stacked. Just look at the names at the back of their jerseys. Dang!
June 2024.. came here to watch jr smiths 6th man season .. i forgot how ugly of team basketball this era was I mean melo dribbles and Felton is not even guarded with his hands on his hips. Prigiomi brings the ball up then gets out the way. Chandler just stays near the rack and no one moves but melo
