    @5:43 if you didn't attack the Ace of Hearts entry, but played a second club (J) as the example shows, you are still defending finely I think, since you have already had Diamond A & K tricks, plus you have 3 club winners (T,6,3), so 3NT will still go 1 down... And worse, you might give them a heart trick in the process, or at least they now won't have to guess who has the Queen (although, if they had AK8x in clubs, then you'd fail to establish your club suit, which is also a risk when playing the Jack)

      Many thanks for taking the time to comment - feedback is always appreciated. You make a fair point but you also recognise that declarer starting with AK8x is as much of a worry as giving a heart trick. We would have done better not to give W the ten of clubs in the example but the point is really just to illustrate the importance of depriving declarer of the entry to a long suit in dummy. It's good to know that people are thinking about the hands carefully, though :). Thanks again and I hope you continue to enjoy the videos.
