I’ve been saying it since Pujols and Molina retired, blow up this team. Package Helsley and one of our youngish guys like Nootbaar, Edman, or Gorman and get an absolute haul from somewhere(aka Baltimore). You could land Holliday and another guy like Mayo, Norby, or Cowser. They are in win NOW mode and we clearly are far from it. The moment Goldy won his MVP at the ripe age of 34 I said sell high on him because the only direction from here is down, could’ve gotten a decent amount for a literal MVP. This offseason they should really consider moving guys like Sonny, Willson, Donovan, Arenado, Mikolas, and Helsley since we’re “buying”’ at this deadline. You know for a moment there I was actually starting to believe, 5 or 6 games over .500 but deep down I knew, we all knew that this team is just mid and that’s all they’ll ever be. Who could’ve expected the drop off from arenado though, it’s really a shame we’re stuck in his contract. And please for the love of god do not extend Goldy this offseason. Fantastic tenure as a cardinal but just no. Also while I’m basically just ranting, Dylan Carlson should never wear cleats or pickup a bat ever again in his life, there’s absolutely no reason to have Crawford take up a roster spot, especially if Edman is on “rehab” assignments and is coming back soon(Lord knows if Tommy Edman is even still alive). Im just so fed up with this team. From the ownership, to the front office, to the management, it all stinks. The player development might possibly be the worst in the league not to mention we haven’t developed a true ace in what do you think about 15 years? Isn’t it quite comical damn near every player that leaves this team is magically blessed from the baseball gods. I know I’m beating a dead horse but real fast. Zac Gallen, Sandy Alcantara, Randy Arozarena, Adolis Garcia, Tyler O’Neil, and Jordan Hicks. AND THEN on top of that, players we bring it begin to struggle. Sonny Gray, Ozuna from the braves, Jayson Hayward, Dexter Fowler, Andrew Miller, and Matthew Liberatore. It’s crazy. I feel blessed to have a guy like Masyn Winn but who even knows what the fuck is going on with Jordan Walker. And thank the lord Alec Burleson has broken out too, hopefully he can keep it up. I just see any point in contending with the roster we have. It’s just such a shame to see such a prized coveted organization turn into a rotten tomato. Looking back on it had to of began somewhere around the time when Oscar Tavares tragically passed on and when we were caught in that cheating/hacking scandal with the Astros. I just wish they’d come to their senses and quit trying to trick the public/fans with false hope and mediocrity. A sad cardinal fan
Nothing! Nothing will happen as usual and he’ll make a statement saying they tried but you can’t make players come here if they don’t want to! Always the same BS!
I love that one... "such and such really wanted to come here...." it's an excuse that allows them to not be aggressive... and just sit back hoping someone will fall into their laps... that doesn't cost much.
@@DanielDowling Luis Roberts Jr... (willing to give up Jordan Walker, Graceffo and a Saggesse type). A proven number 1 or 2 starter (willing to give up Tank Hence, Nootbaar or Gorman, maybe Herrera, Carlson).
Let's be honest, this doesnt really seem like the type of team you add to at the deadline. Maybe add some small pieces or sell off....its the worst place to be in.
These guys just can’t get it done. Marmol heavily relies on his bully, and now they can’t get it done. They’re being abused. It’ll take almost an overhaul of the roster to “make a splash”. Let it ride with what we’ve got, then get rid of the staleness within this organization. (Mo, Girsch, Marmol)
@@boschlosser10 Rosenthauls new article “Here's another option who would make sense, considering his versatility: The St. Louis Cardinals' Tommy Edman, who has yet to play this season while recovering from right wrist surgery. The Cardinals and Mo. will do what he does best Nothing and then he make a excuse why he didn't get anything we have all this talent in the minor leagues if these guys aren't going to play in St Louis let them play somewhere else
This team will stand pat and ride out the rest of the season missing the playoffs yet again. Until Goldy, Arenado, Gray, etc. play like they are supposed to, this team is going nowhere.
Tanner Scott would be very legit or Estevez from the angles.. as a premier set up man then move O’Brien Fernandez Kittredge Jojo 5-7 innings guys with Granillo as a September call up! Getting King and Gio off the mlb roster
Sorry we don't develop right now which a lot of issues and DeWitt is not to spend the money to get anyone he does not his payroll any higher than it is now
Snell I doubt, Flaherty doesn’t want to play for Oli. I still say flush some outfielders-DC, Noot, even Edman if he wants LA. Bring Walker back, Saggese. White Sox would be good to trade with, saw them in StL in May. And I saw Crochet pitch. Future is lefties Cooper Hjerpe & Mathews. Hince can close better than Helsley. I wouldn’t even discount Arenado & Goldy for trading. Scott would be tough to get.

Mo is resting so no moves.
Brendan, the story hasn't changed in 7 months. We still have Mr. Stingy and his employee, do nothing Mo.
Perhaps Mo will do something by August 5th! 😆
They should do it. But Dewitt and Mo will do little to nothing. And then afterward complain that the costs were too high.

Edman linked to Dodgers👀
Where you see that at
Arenado would be psst.... if Edman got to go (before him)

Jordan Walker should be the RH bat.
Agreed.. he should be a September call up with Granillo
He's hitting terribly in the minors. He better reset for next year or he's on the same road as Carlson was a couple of years ago.
