My name is Jensley coach of fll team. Your videos are very good and clear. My used your idea and made some atachments for the robot. Our team Robowings made it to the next competition. Thanks for your good tips. If you got some more for atachments we love to know.
Looking forward to attachment design. I feel like this is more important than programming in a FLL competition. There is a big gap between FLL explorer and FLL challenge.
I personally don’t think so… I think that it’s a LOT easier to score a lot of points with good programming because your robot behaves the same every time you test it.
What piece set did you use to build the robot? I do not see some of the pieces in the spike prime base and expansion set. My team wants to build this robot but we cannot find all of the pieces despite having the base and expansion set
Amazing video just in time for this year’s season. Our first meeting is today and we have a lot of new team members who don’t have any experience with the spike prime robot or programming. As a coach I can’t wait to show them your videos to get them on a great start.
Zain: Great video. I think it would be great if you can upload videos on attachments. You showed the basic attachment, where it can spin in the same direction as the motor. But can you upload video on how to make the attachment rotate on a different axis than the motor?
Hi. Nice video. I am a Fll coach for years. Before covid-19 we had plans to go to Australia with one of the teams. Unfortunenatly we couldn't achieve our goal. Our regional competotion is 19 of March. One team used you design and adapt it for their competition. It would be nice if you could encaurage them by a live video. But the time diference is to big. If you want, would you like to encaurage them making a small video for them? The name of the team is Robowings from Winschoten The Netherla nds. My regards Jensley Fullinck
This is an awesome video on making a robot, the print outs are great too. Do you have a list of the parts needed to build the robot and the frame? Thank you
My robot is the same size I had to rebuild the inside because I was using the bigger mothers for the drive I added a second caster wheel and enclosed the bottom and did over 15 variations of wiring
Hey Zain, love your videos and this robot looks amazing. However, just one question : to build this robot, would the spike prime kit and the expansion kit be enough. Thanks it's just when I looked at the google drive document it seemed like for the frame you used something different.
Hey, yep you would need extra panels to build the frame as there aren't enough provided in the expansion kit. If you wanted to build the frame as per the instructions, you can order extra parts from bricklink or any other lego trading store. Hope that helps!
Actually instead of attaching the panels just one question for the two sides of the robot instead of building the frame would there be a difference if we just used the 2 yellow large pieces as they fit perfectly. Would it change how the robot moves or make it inconsistent?
Hello Zain. My name is Goldie and greetings from Canada. Great video presentation, with GREAT Tips! Is there a "shopping list" of the panels that make up the "WALLS"? I know the panels are either 3 x 7 or 5 x 7. I will have to work with my teams and see what we can produce. I should have sufficient 3 X 5 rectangular panels.
Zain I opened the google drive file a few months ago and it was working fine but now it is saying that it doesnt exist anymore. Could you attach the file again please? Thank you so much Zain! Love watching your videos, they are always so helpful!
One of the best 5 tips I have heard. We will be following this for this year's competition

Why you do not put the hub vertical instead of horizontal?
can you show us how to make attachments
Amazingly well done. Thank you!
Attachment ideas please
agreed
Do you have design for a slip on attachment using both motors at once?

Thank you this is great. Do you have any similar instructions that use the EV3 Core set?
This video is very helpful

Great video, thank you for share your ideias
Can you explain the choice to use medium motors for drive instead of large motors?
Do you have a video that explains specifically how attachments work and are built? We are new at this and are trying to figure it all out.
This is going to help out team, Thanks!

So, for the instructions can you put the measurements for the axels.
Loved your video and want to build the robot...however, your google file isn't opening all the way.

If you could kindly attach a link to the product you used for the extra panels that would be really appreciated and extremely helpful. Thanks Zain!
