But , we must also remember that over two thousand years ago , Confucius also famously said, " For those who created the sacrificial figurines, should they not able to have offsprings?" What Confucius was saying was that it was cruel enough to even bury figurines as a sacrificial gesture, let alone burying real life humans.
During the tour of the Terra Cotta Warriors in Xian, I was told that the emporer buried all his wives with him who had not birthed a baby, and all the artists who created the terra cotta army, so it would remain a secret. And….the last remaining servant who knew about the site was sworn to commit suicide. That is why it was 1974 before anyone knew of the Terra cotta figures. I got the chance to meet, and get the book signed, by the man who was digging a well and pulled up the head of a terra cotta warrior, which was the discovery.
Your research and information is fascinating! Thank you so much for sharing. What kind of evidence or scientific data is there showing the poor victims of being buried alive?? Have the remains of those buried alive been unearthed and/or exhumed?? Please let us know.

This is probably one of the most unforgivable things that can be done to innocent people.

Urns were often left with a flame to provide light. These would quickly use up available oxygen.
Harrowing
Until they died.
