This is a family friendly tractor loving channel that hopefully inspires you, teaches you and entertains you.
I love to read your comments!
Keep on tractoring and God bless.
Excellent ideas ! You can also take the red button nozzle apart and remove the spring inside making it manual operation.
Have a Blessed Day 🇺🇸
Nice video. I have improved my diesel fuel, and gas cans, as well. A couple simple changes, makes them so much more user friendly. In my opinion the new cans on the market are pretty useless off the shelf. I would consider the ideas you have here, a must do, before putting the cans to use. Like you said, the spout designs the manufacturers are forced to use nowadays, are junk.
I ended up sticking with one of the battery fuel transfer tools. My canisters are big and it’s easier that way for me. That one looks nice John, but I agree that most spouts are garbage and you found a good solution. Cheers.
Yes the gas can spout issue is a real thing thanks for sharing !
I’m also a frequent visitor of our Local Menards as well 👍
You played the midwest anthem
We all feel your pain, Jon! I like the idea of the rigid spout, and also buying the vents in bulk. I've purchased replacement spouts, but almost always the rubber gasket deforms, and then the whole spout ends up leaking at the base. Would love to know how these hold up. Also, the vents that came with my spouts had no positive "click" and so wouldn't stay closed...clearly not an issue for yours! Nice job!
i usebattery powered pocket pump wich uses 2 d batteries its the best too
Nice mod Jon, on my Amazon list. Looking good as always, hope family is good. 🚜🇺🇸🇨🇦⛽️
I changed all of my gas cans over to exactly what you used a few years ago and I am so glad I did. So much easier to use especially with the air vents
I bought those same cans at our Tractor Supply and I also bought every kit they had for the different nozzles and the vent cap. They no longer carry those and now I find myself taking off the bigger nozzle to put on the other cans.
I use a shaker hose that I bought from harbor freight. It's nice not having to hold a fuel can while filling with fuel since my fuel cap is on the hood.
Jon, gotta love rules and regulations according to good old California standards 😮😊❤
I cut the locking tabs off also. I even cut them off my mouthwash bottle. LOL
100% correct. Those things are totally crap. Got the same spouts for mine. Although I did get 2 of the flexible ones. Like them better because I can put them in the filler hole before I tip the gas can up.
The batteries transferred pumps are the way to go, I use them in my 5gal cans when I need to fill stuff
Great job Jon,but I have a problem with using a gas can on my Curtis can so I use a 12 volt transfer pump no more lifting the can.
Nice to see you posting, i love your content. I hope you and your family are having a great New Year.
Thanks! Hope you and your family are doing well too!
Keep on tractoring!
I bought a solid cap. The can no longer leaks during shipment and I use a battery powered pump.
That sounds like a great setup. I'll have to look into a battery-powered pump.
Keep on tractoring!
Great idea. My supplied spout broke and I have been balancing over a funnel without anything. That supplied spout is SLOW and PULSED while it GURGLED.
Thanks for the information I ordered !
Runnings carries the SureCan. Same two cans for 6 years no issues. Awesome for BX and automotive no spill no mess easy and fast
That's great to hear that you've had such good luck with your SureCan for so long! My biggest issue with those is the price but they seem very useful.
Keep on tractoring!
@ Wow they really took a price hike
Second on SureCan. I only use them now, no more titling to fill. Handy on the 2380 and even more so on the B2601
I have "fixed" several gas and diesel cans with similar products. The stupid new spouts get fuel everywhere EXCEPT where you want it.
I love the can. But I use the electric pump. 4 aa battery. 3 foot hose. Great for the BX with cabs. Auto value I got it.
Oh yeah, I’m sure that electric pump is nice for those tight spaces. I’ve seen quite a few people use those and they seem to find them very useful.
Keep on tractoring!
The trick to the Black/red one is to keep the red Latch on the bottom.
But I have since started using the Electric auto-off Pumps. No more lifting and holding...
Hey john ! Thanks ,that's whati did . Really like manards. Ohio,ne, & sw .
I love that they have so many locations! I didn't realize how large they were I guess.
Keep on tractoring!
A 3/8” pvc plumbing cap typically fits spouts if you loose the original. I keep a handful around, I think I keep the gas station stocked with caps……
Good tip! I'll keep that in mind.
Keep on tractoring!
I modified a couple of mine. But now I bought some 5 Gallon sure cans. But they aren’t cheap
THat's the biggest issue with the Sure Cans, they are nice but pricey!
Keep on tractoring!
👍👍👌🧐🙏🖐Cheers 🍻
How is the can yellow, but the filler at the gas station for diesel is green?
Not all gas stations are the same. We have yellow and green here, depends on the station.
Keep on tractoring!
All shit starts in CA or UK, think cookie popup on websites
Is that where those stupid cookie things started. Frustrating ain't it!!
Keep on tractoring!
All the regulations that come from Kommifornia are pure garbage.
just buy a racing fuel can our stupid goverment is dumb tip the can the fuel pours out old school simple
