HOLY-FRIGHTS!! Amazing painting and weathering on the Bronco staff car!!!!! I've not tried this because I haven't seen anyone do it so well!! Thank you for this video Sir!!! (Salute!) Take Care, Bill
Thank you very much Rick for your support on this video! I really like the way you turn out the car into the burnt one. Maybe I will also try this method on some future projects from Berlin, Breslau or other city. :):):)
Amazing Rick! Great techniques & paint effects to create a realistic burnt out vehicle. The softening of the plastic technique is always a good one to create those dents - although like you say ‘just 1 second too long’…🙈🔥 That cracked glass effect is genius, will have to get some of that glass glitter!! When you began with the yellow & orange paint it does look startling, but then it all comes back with the original colour going back on top. Was considering doing a burnt Horch in a future dio & this video will certainly give me the confidence! Well done - great video😊👌
That car looks so realistic and the metalwork you did is so convincing. When it comes to melting plastic or soften, I use a trick from Yoshi Hirano. I take of the incense sticks instead of the lighter as the sticks you get a more small area of heat. By thay you avoid softening parts you do not want to heat.
Sweet…I burned out an engine deck and used some of that thin gold foil to replicate some blistered paint…looks good when not overdone. Check it out sometime.
beautiful work as always Rick, thanks so much for the inspiration!. Can you share the source of the image shown at 1:04 (or thereabouts)? It's almost like a scene from a movie, I guess it could colorised, but the light and the framing is really nice. Cheers!
One of the greates tutorials on UA-cam, I always wanted to see something about burned vehicles. Also, nice to see 3rd Gen in action. ;) I must check that. ;) All the best for You! ;)
Broken glass look weird just use one very thin from microscope cover slip. you can even break them. Really realistic, It was i used before. The rest is truly amazing
Have you got a video that goes more indepth to using oil's? I'm new to oil's but really want to learn about them as progressing on now I've used enamels for weathering for past couple of year's really but never sure on how long to wait for the oil's drying before moving on to next stage for example or even sealing your work in if you do atoll before moving on to a next layer, see there's not any really good video's that actually explains the process for beginners to start it's all guess work! I don't mean beginner modeller's just beginners in oil's so we do have alot of like understanding in the way things are and what they are so that's going to take the worst part away from anything explaining oil's! I've colle a few of ammos and AK abt 502 oil's I'm still making up a big selection to work from! Thanks for taking the time to read this!
Charlie, I don't have a specific video that focuses upon the use of oils. I use them in nearly all of my projects, and so if you look back at some of the prior series, especially those focusing upon painting and weathering you will find a lot of examples. The second in this T34 series, T55 & M3 Lee would be a good starting point.
Just away sit down to watch now shifts over thank god! Back to the model's lol Deluxe materials Real Rust set is amazing for doing burnt out vehicles! I used that AK set before for burnt out vehicles but mixing the 2 sets together it's just crazy the reality in scale amazing what abit of paint can't do!

I've modelled wrecks but never a burnt-out one This has given me the inspiration to give it a go!😊
Thank you very much Rick for your support on this video!

Thanks, Mate.
Brilliant work! The dented roof and shattered glass add such realism to that amazing painting.
Thank you so much 😀
Thanks. Nice touch on the broken window glass. That is always a challenge.
thanks!
Loving it Rick! 😀 so straight forward but yet just so perfect. The glass was a revelation, thanks for showing us👏
Thank you, Vincent, for watching and commenting.
Interesting glass technique 😃! Amazing weathering rendering, love it 🤩
Thank you! Cheers!
I appreciate the process on how you made the broken window glass......filed in my memory bank.
Thanks, Greg.
I’ve been watching Lucas for a while, both you and him also do great stuff for all the modeling magazines.
Yes, it's nice to find great modelers like Lukasz who do great work. Thanks for watching and for your support.
Splendid paintwork and your scratchbuilding is the cherry on top.
Thank you!

Thanks, my friend.
I really like the way you did the dent on the roof.
Thanks!
Very well done Rick ! I'm saving the sponge technique for the burnt effects as well as the shattered glass . A very helpful video !
Cool, thanks

Yes, incense sticks...I have heard of people using those with a lot more control. Next time!!! Thanks for watching.
That’s a great idea, would definitely give you more control👍 Plus would give the car’s interior a lovely smell…😁👌
