It must be somewhat emotional for the new Master when the porter opens the gates and you see the assembled crowd in that ancient courtyard 😀
That's exactly why the seat of learning has withstood the dust of times. Its grandeur bespeaks.
Funny how trumpets bespeak a sense of occasion like no other instrument . . .
Probably why JSBach used them.

How exciting! I’m jumping up and down inside for her. And this isn’t even my Alma Mater 👩🎓
Whilst being aware of the dignity and tradition innate in the occasion it reduces me to giggles every time.
There is no mention of who composed the Te Deum setting.
