I barely knew anything about these pins before watching this video so thank you for all the information! They're definitely creative, and thank you for sharing your collection!
Yes! The anonymity of some fantasy pin creators always confused me? Is it due to that copyright issue, or that they want to create a high exclusivity for their pins? Idk! In my head I’m like, don’t you want to... sell? your pins? that you make? Haha
I think it's a combination of both. If they're not known, they can't be turned in to Disney, but they also get to create a 'hype' and demand over their pins. I much prefer when fantasy pins are easy to buy!
Zip a Dee Doo Disney Agreed!! I think having to sleuth around the Internet to try and find a seller isn’t as fun as just getting to order what you like when you see it!
Once I learned about fantasy pins I was hooked. I thought it was a great way to get pins like the WDI pins I wanted at a lower cost. Like the profile pins you mentioned. I would search for profiles of characters I collected and even though they were more expensive than Disney pins, they where way cheaper than what the WDI’s or DSSF limited pins where being sold for on the second market. However then I ran into what you already mentioned about some being so expensive and exclusive clubs. I had the thought “why not create more so we all can have some? Isn’t that why we make fantasy pins? Because we want pins we can’t normally have or pins Disney doesn’t make?” So I have been disappointed in that aspect. So there are a few creators I love and I will get their fantasy pins. You already mentioned fantasy pins by Madison. So I’m sure you’re aware of her emperors new groove profiles. I got in on that collection and I love it. She is making a Chica one and I thought of you! I love ENG too and covet your lama potions pin 😂. To bad I’m late to the game and they are all sold out. Can’t wait to see what’s up your sleeve
I'm still fairly new to fantasy pins, but I find myself be drawn to them more and more. I've found some small shops on etsy that feature Porgs on various Disney attractions, in other characters' costumes, etc., and I LOVE them. I love porgs, I love mashups, and the pins really appeal to my sense of whimsy. Thanks for your great tutorial, Emily! I learned several things I didn't know about fantasy pins!
I love fantasy pins! I recently found out about them this year, so I only have a collection of 4 😂❤️ a great thing about them is they are usually very detail and are rarely faked - I’ve seen it happen before, but not often. Fantasy pins are a lot more “special” in a way since they only have LE of 50 or lower usually
I don't do a whole lot of fantasy, and totally agree, only hard enamel, but I also really like the shops Castle Babe Co and Castles & Confetti! Great video on this topic! Also, I've just tagged you in my latest collection video. Would love to see what else you collect besides pins!
Thank you so much for this video! There's not many resources or easily accessible information on the fantasy pin market, and finding sites that sell them (outside of Etsy) seems to be a shot in the dark or pure luck. Aside from the ones you listed, and those mentioned in the comments, have you found any other sites to get them since making this video? So far I've looked at: Enchanted thoughts club Wish upon a Star fantasy pins Fandom flair Just peachyy grape soda Unicorn crafts art Oh yeah apparel Attractioneering Emc fantasy pins Castle babe Castles and confetti El blackbat Mouse pin trading post
Fantasy pin designers infringing on copyright licensing, contracting unethical manufacturers expecting profiteersto be ethical...Old saying: there is no honor among thieves.
Thank you for your insight on these pins. Some time if the gifted artist put more effort and time into the piece. The final piece would turn out amazing.
Why doesn't Disney stop these Fantasy pins? They are kind of fake pins (not officially made by Disney) and thry are earning money of Disney's property and characters.
Disney doesn't seem to actively seek out people breaking copyright, they usually wait until someone gets reported too them. I guess it's too much for them to police themselves
*For those reading down in the comments, I (wink wink) have a very special little project I’m working on related to this very topic!*
Very intrigued and excited by your hint!!
Waiting for the first DisneyKittee pin to come out :)

Such a thorough explanation of fantasy pins, so helpful Emily! But now I'm even more excited reading your hint in the comments! Finally!!!
I love pins too much, I had to make my own
Loved hearing your thoughts on fantasy pins. I don’t have any but love seeing their designs.
They can be a bit crazy, but definitely fun to collect!

Totally agree with everything you say! I really love that ENG profile series, just too $$ for me

I've noticed porgs are very popular with fantasy pins, they make great mashups!
Hi Emily, I love your mickey picture over your right shoulder..really stands out xx
I love your pins, a lot if the fantasy ones are just too big xx
Thank you :)
I love fantasy pins. My collection is really growing.
That's great!

I personally love fantasy pins because I can get them a bit easier than park pins. Also they have some lovely designs!
Agreed!

Great video on this topic! Also, I've just tagged you in my latest collection video. Would love to see what else you collect besides pins!
I'll definitely check out those shops :)
This explains why I could not find any information about a specific disney pin that I found on ebay of a relatively popular character.
Hi Emily. Great info on Fantasy pins. This gives everyone the info they need to better make a decision on if they want to purchase one. 😀
Fantasy pins are definitely fun to casually collect!
@@MagicallyEmily some of them look very cute.
Great explanation! I just got a new Cars fantasy pin!!!!! I’m so excited since it’s an LE 25 and I never seen it before
That is super awesome!
I really like GRAPE SODA CLUB!
I've seen their pins! I definitely have to get my hands on some!
Awesome collection 😍

A fantasy pin creator in the Disney Pin Trading FB group said he found scrappers on eBay of his LE 25 pin. The scrapper problem is out of control!
I've seen fakes of fantasy pins on eBay before! It's crazy how they can steal those molds too

Almost all of the fantasy pins I have my eye on seem to be anonymous and I can't for the life of me find any way to get my hands on them 😞
That definitely frustrates me too!
Thank you for your insight on these pins. Some time if the gifted artist put more effort and time into the piece. The final piece would turn out amazing.
Some artists are definitely amazing!
Are you making pins? @zipadeeemily
