not many people know that this was originally a betty boop song
it went kinda like this
-song "the old man of the mountain" written for the betty boop cartoon by the same name talking about the episode's villain in 1933
-covered by the mills brothers with various changed to the lyrics to not make it about this fearsome dude anymore in the same year
-that cover is what got remixed and retitled to "the old men" for this video in 2017
i recommend to check out both the original cartoon and the mills brothers cover they're both genuinely great have a wonderful day

No, it wasn't. It was a 1932 song by Cab Calloway that Fleischer Studios adapted for a 1933 Betty Boop cartoon - as they used a number of other popular songs from Calloway and other musicians in cartoons.
